Awww. Poor, poor, pitiful you. The object lesson here is that the Arabs should NEVER have gone to war against Israel. They did -- on six occasions -- and lost each time. There were losses to Israel, too, in the course of defending against these wars. Why should I have ANY sympathy or pity for the Arabs? They got their just desserts. Time for them to suck it up and stop whining. Payback -- as I said earlier -- is a bitch.

I don't know why we have to argue incessantly with Arabs. We argue about everything. About water, about humus, about healthcare (not theirs), about sanitation (not theirs), land (not theirs), about their over inflated armies, their victories (including their debacles), their whores in heaven, also, very often, about a prophet on a flying horse. They never made it, I checked with the heavens. I suspect that that a ayatollah or a imam switched horses and gave the prophet a Pegasus instead. Muslim politics. I think that from all those arguments, debates, lies, falsehoods, they succeeded in pulling the biggest con job in human history by wearing down their sophisticated opponents, the US, EU and others. Only don't ask them regarding their contributions to society, to their own people: "maladies' like aids, infant mortality, childbirth death, malaria, anemia, family planning and more. " Let the white man do it". Their main objective starting at birth, " how to get rid of Jews by any means". Ah but, when one of them is refused life saving care in one of the superb Jewish hospital, all hell brakes lose. They complain to the UN, the US, the EU, the Pope, etc. Of course their motives are rather simple; to get better in order to kill Jews --- it did happen

I think I'm pretty much inclined to agree with you on all points. They ARE a whiny, pathetic bunch who refuse to take ownership of their own incredibly bad choices, aren't they? Too bad for them. They're not about to dislodge me.
66. #59-the Golan is Israels territory
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.08.10)
The Syrians will never ever get a piece of Israels territory...

I wish Israel DID block water to these muslim occupiers. No big deal, but darn good!
68. Completely agree with the Israeli counsel position
Sally Forth ,   Jerusalem of course!   (05.08.10)
I live in Jerusalem and travel around the country a great deal. I can give one example of blockage of water to Israel carried out by the Lebanese on 22 May 2009. This was the blocking of the Ion Stream Nature Reserve Water Supply. I filed an official complaint with the Israeli Foreign Office who then verified my complaint and filed a complaint against the Lebanese with UN Security Council. With respect to the specific example cited in this article. The report is completely false and inaccurate. Recently I visited the site mentioned there are two sets of churches at the traditional baptismal site of Jesus both located at the northern most end of the Dead Sea on the Jordan River. The Church on the Jordanian side is protected by Jordanian Armed Forces and the Church on the Israeli side is protected by Israeli Armed Forces and/or border police. I have not visited the Jordanian but having visited the Israeli side I can say that it is possible to visit the site with proper permit and prior cordination with the Israeli Army. Some years ago there was an attempt made by Palestinians to cross into Jordan from the Israeli side and the Palestinians were detained by the Jordanian Army until their release could be co-ordinated between Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian Authority. This is called proper administration of an international border and not theft of water. The National Geographic Company must issue an apology and clarification of this point. If they don't I for one will cancel my subscription and encourage my friends to do the same!
69. Israel invests heavily in water management & recycling
zionist forever   (05.08.10)
Israel does not allow the drilling of illegal wells by the palestinians but it gives them more water than the allocation agreed on under oslo. In the Golan yes some of the waters from the Hermon do naturally flow into the Galilee but thats not water theft thats nature. Before 1967 Assad senior tried to physically divert the flow of the water so non of it flowed into the Kineret. Its Assad junior who wants to steal Israeli waters. As part of its treaty Israel gave Jordan a share of Kinerret waters that it didn't have before 1967. Syria has plenty of water of its own but Assad lets the black market thrive in his country including a black market in water. The palestinians need to invest more in infastructure, the fact Israel has more water doesn't mean we are stealing it from them. Israel invests heavily in water management, it recycles the bulk of the waste water which neither Syria or the palestinians do. Israels farmers have developed technologies which allows them to grow their crops using less water than their neighbors do. Investment and good management isn't theft.

71. no it won't end
Paul ,   Cairns Australia   (05.09.10)
The "anti-semitic scapegoating" won't end I suppose until Israel stops behaving in such a disgusting manner.

Israeli ,   California USA   (05.09.10)
Hi Nick.. amazing that you can send Anti Israeli Blogs on an ISRAELI news paper.. try to do the same on the ARAB newspaper? anyway.. don't go to your neighbourhood wallgreens.. they sell Antibiotics Made in ISrael.. which might cure your ignorance.
73. #59 - You fail to include several things, Resistor
William ,   Israel   (05.09.10)
Namely - that the water usage you mentioned includes water provided to "Palestinians" and Jordan under the Oslo Accords. In addition, you are comparing an industrialized country (Israel) to a largely agrarian one (Syria, Jordan, PA). Industrialized countries inherently use more water than agrarian ones. The US uses more water than Mexico, and its thirst keeps much water from flowing into Mexico where much of it is arid. You're simply being intellectually honest by ignoring those points.
74. #53 - Dan, I noticed the trend too
William ,   Israel   (05.09.10)
I really used to like the National Geographic and spent most of my TV viewing time watching their channel. This exhibit and other slanted documentaries are a big departure from the objective, credible nation of the organization that sought to bring the world to everyone's doorstep. It's a shame really and just another icon that went the path of donor money rather than truth.
75. #59 - Lebanon purposes blocks rivers into Jordan R.
William ,   Israel   (05.09.10)
Hizbullah spearheaded efforts several years ago to dam up rivers that flow from Lebanon into the Jordan river which flows into Israel. Are you now going to use the same logic and complain that Lebanon is stealing water from its neighbors? BTW - Syria's water problems came from massive mismanagement, one being moving farmers to an arid region then giving them all the fresh water they wanted to try and grow crops, using up the supply in the area. Syria's mis-steps in not Israel's problem...but the world seems to think it is.
76. #63 - Hahaha, Sarah B never claimed you were
William ,   Israel   (05.09.10)
You just proved how little you actually read before you begin your tirades. You just blew what little credibility you had left...and it wasn't much, pal.
77. #71 - Turkey dammed most rivers that lead to Euphrates
William ,   Israel   (05.09.10)
which is causing a massive drop in water levels around Baghdad and Southern Iraq. Where is your condemnation and National Geographic's photo montage about it? I think you have it backwards, Paul. Anti-semetic scapegoating won't end until YOU stop behaving in such a disgusting manner.
78. Facts on the ground
Big Joe ,   USA   (05.09.10)
Chickens have at last come home to roost and the Israeli govt is embarrassed. Time to for them to start another war as a diversion.
