61. #53. Chris. What a tedious little rant, mate.
k1w1 ,   NZ   (05.16.10)
Your're the kind of supporter Israel needs like a hole in the head. I suspect you come to these threads only to bash anyone who says anything against Israel, and to throw flowers at Sarah B., since I still haven't seen anything of any worth that you've posted, or nothing that can't be read in a twenty other posts on the same page. You're not the first one here to have called me an anti-Semite from the end of the world. So you see, Chris, you really just aren't that original. Tedious, yes; original, no.

I could give you a hundred examples of Israeli leaders saying Iran's Islamic regime must be overthrown and replaced - which is exactly what Admineajad said about Israel's Zionist regime. So, if the shoe fits... As for your so-called built-in anti-Semite detector. It's obviously been built into your arse, next to your brain.
63. No one is fooled by your definition of "Peace", Salma
Cameron ,   USA   (05.16.10)
They know all too well what lurks in your head & heart.

You, on the other hand, are full of love for the people who bombed the London tube, is that right? More fool you.

66. During a war, the Israeli public is able to absorb blows ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (05.16.10)
During a war, the Israeli public is able to absorb blows and continue to function. The indicators are that as far as Israeli society is concerned, the basis exists for a strong spirit of its citizens. The public will be willing to bear any burden required of them. No decline in the numbers of Israelis volunteering for combat units was noticeable in the period following the 2006 war. The civilian public remained supportive of the war throughout, although they began to question the strategy being pursued to win it. The lesson of Israeli public resilience in the period of the Palestinian attacks on civilians in urban areas in 2001-2003 indicates that the Israeli public--the views of its enemies notwithstanding--is able to absorb blows and continue to function, if it is convinced that no alternative to the conflict exists. Chris Rettenmoser wrote : quote : "I will tell You my secret, I have a detector built-in, which recognizes an Antisemite even when he is located on the end of the world. Stop Your false pretention of pity towards the Israeli people and spare it for yourself, because You are by far not so clever as You may think." end of quote. I have a question : what does your built-in detector tells you? Am I an Antisemite? I wonder if you are as clever as you think. Enlight me please.
69. Nuke them
Brod ,   USA   (05.16.10)
Should Lebanon hit Israeli cities with rockets, Israel should nuke them without any qualms. It is time the dark forces understand deterrence. They defy deterrence at their own peril.
70. #41, Thank you for your excellent post --- 100% TRUTH

71. Easy there, Bible thumpin' Brod at #69

Israel has more than enough weapons to teach devastating lessons without making that final leap.

I hope you’re not been kept awake at night worrying about anything you’ve posted here, since it mostly seems like a bit of irrational paranoia mixed with the usual bleating about how the world doesn’t understand Israel’s illegal occupation and wont let poor, defenceless Israel defend itself. The IDF is one of the most powerful and best equipped forces on earth - let alone the Middle East - and you’re worried that it’s no match for Hezbollah or Hamas. Do you honestly believe Israel faces an existential threat because Nazrallah and some drongos from Hamas says it? I hope you are not so ill-informed as to really believe that Iran is becoming a “world superpower”. At least, don’t count on the rest of the world believing such arrant nonsense. No amount of whining will bring back the League of Nations. The LoN became the UN, and the UN is unanimous that Israel does not belong past its 1967 border. No US president or other world leader since 1967 has ever agreed that Israeli settlements past the Green Line are legal. Don’t expect the world to change it’s mind about that any time soon. And they aren’t going against their own agreements - they won WWII and got to make new rules. As for the world denying Israel its right to self-defence - the West has armed Israel to the teeth exactly for Israel’s self-defence. Pre-emptive strikes and military invasions aren’t self-defence.
73. If anything, there is too little censorship
Robert Haymond ,   Israel&Canada   (05.17.10)
and that is why impostures are allowed to keep posting. Perhaps I was wrong, as indicated by "Shame", and the number of false posts continues in number. I have contacted Ynet on scores of occasions, incidentally, about the problem of false posting but the administration sees fit to throw its arms up in the air and profess helplessness. As to censorship of legitemate posts such as yours, "Shame", this is surprising to me as some of the most fierce anti-Israeli (and anti-semitic in some cases) posters practically dwell on this board. Nonetheless, the posts do seem to vary in intensity and perspective from "hate Israel" to "Israel can do no wrong" and everything in-between. Unlike most poster boards, we are allowed sufficient room to explain ourselves. So, all in all, I am appreciative of what we have here provided by Ynet.
74. #73. Robert. Hear! Hear! Well put! I agree.

It is strange to hear all those threats from ordinary israelis (and americans!). It seems that israel is facing a serious problem, basically she is beginning to sound like the rest of arab countries, talking too much, threatening too much...I agree that the next war (God forbids) will be devestating to Lebanon more than to israelis....but then what? would we love each other more after that? what will be the benefit? peace is the only way, love to all...
