1. sell them cheap, see how long the boycott lasts
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (05.18.10)
those israeli foods are way better than most of the rubbish they sell in the west bank, so we'll see how long they wish to be dedicated to this fad.
2. Boycott them right back
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.10)
No more employment in Israel. No more employment in the settlements. It won't take long. They ARE really grasping at straws -- anything the Palestinian "leadership" can do to deflect the attention of the Palestinian people away from 20 years of billions of dollars and billions of euros in foreign aid that has mysteriously disappeared ......
3. Hey, WTF??? AHAVA???
John ,   Europe   (05.18.10)
Ahava DEAD SEA PRODUCTS??? How the f''' is that from SETTLEMENTS ON WEST BANK?? Either my geography is very rusty or this is some shity business??
4. ANYTHING MADE IN ISRAEL IS WELCOME IN SINGAPORE ;-)
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (05.18.10)

6. Let them Boycott. We will Buy and Buy more
Eli M. ,   Monsey NY   (05.18.10)
Thank you for the list of items and companies. now i will look for all those item to buy. I am so proud that Israel develops and manufactures all these items. the last thing i saw that they Manuf. is Hate and suicide belts and a bunch of poor fanatics.
7. Israel, in response, should close its seaports and airports
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.18.10)
to all products coming in or going out of the Palestinian Authority. This, in addition to cease acquiring their products and employing their workers should be the proper response to their act of hostility. And one more thing: Mr. Obama should be thanked for bringing into our region the sense that if you put enough pressure upon Israel and its people in an hostile way you'll get what you want. So, thank you Mr. Barakah Hussein Obama for ushering a new era of peace and reconciliation among the peoples of this region.
8. boycott
Daniel ,   Rimonim   (05.18.10)
Let's stop sending them medicine and other goods from within the Green Line.
9. "palastinian" "boycot"
nir ,   ny, ny   (05.18.10)
the funny thing is they have to make it a law to boycot Israel products becouse they know otherwise "palastinians" wont do it becouse its all just politics. and another thing i want to see palastinians do this boycot all the way. they should not use public transportation in the west bank, they should not use water and power becouse many of the systems to clean the water and recycle it are in the settlemants. please save Israel money and dont come to the hospitals in the settlements. good luck
10. Peace process is death process for Israel
Marcel ,   Florida   (05.18.10)
Do you see what happens when you appease and surrender God's land to His enemies ? While Israel was busy on her knees with the Road Map her enemies have been on their feet busily working to achieve their goal. Unlike Israel they have an unshakable, unmovable goal which they truly believe in. The problem with Israel is it believes in fairy tales and myths. As you point out so well the leadership is paralyzed unable to act in any strong way to defend the nation. The Road Map myth has contributed to the national insanity where thoughts of surrendering the Golan,E.Jerusalem,Judea & Samaria are seen as an answer to appease evil forces. A little more on the solution your close neighbors are working on. http://www.pjtv.com/?cmd=mpg&mpid=136 'Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scoffers who rule this people in Jerusalem! ...your covenant with death ( ROAD MAP ) shall be annulled, and your agreement with Sheol (the place of the dead)( ROAD MAP ) shall not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, then you will be trodden down by it.' Isaiah 28
11. Arab boycott

Thanks for the list. Now I know what to buy.
12. :: A captive market bites back
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (05.18.10)
“The closure of 17 factories in the (illegal) settlements” and not a shot was fired, not a person injured, not one act of violence. Amazing how reliant the illegal settlers are on the Palestinian people, without support from the Palestinians it looks like these illegal settlements are doomed to fail.
13. Buycott Israel
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.10)
Here is a link to a wonderful organization founded in Canada, which is gaining momentum throughout the world. Sign up! http://www.buycottisrael.ca/form.php
14. I TOOK A LOOK AT ALL THE PRODUCTS
(05.18.10)
IF THE PA THINKS THAT ARABS IN THE WEST BANK WILL BOYCOTT ALL THESE THINGS, THEY HAVE IT COMING. 1. NO FURNITURE FOR THE HOUSE AND NOTHING TO SIT OR SLEEP ON. SINCE THEY DO NOT MAKE FURNITURE, THEY WILL HAVE TO IMPORT IT FROM ABROAD AT A MUCH MORE COSTLY PRICE TO THEIR RESIDENTS. 2. NO HOUSE RENNOVATIONS SINCE ALL ISRAELI HOME IMPROVEMENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE BOUGHT BY ARABS IN WEST BANK 2. NO NUTRITION TO SPEKA OF SINCE MOST OF THE ARAB FARMERS IN WEST BANL ARE UNABLE OR HAVE THE AGRICULTURAL KNOW HOW HOW TO PRODUCE THESE THINGS AND ESPECIALLY AT THE FAST AND HUGE RATE THIER PEOPLE CONSUME THESE PRODUCTS, BE IT VEGETABLES, FRUITS, MILK, CHEESES, NUTS, ETC... 3. NO TECHNOLOGICAL DEVISES SUCH AS PHONES, WIRES, ETC... THE ARABS HAVE NO KNOWHOW HOW TO MANUFACTURE THESE THINGS AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THE INFRASTRUCTURE TO HAVE THEM MANUFACTURED. SO, THE ARABS WILL SIT ON THE FLOOR, SIT IN THE DARK, EAT NO VEGETABLES, FRUITS, GRAINS AND CHEESES AND NPO SNACKS. THEY WILL STARVE SINCE THE ARAB FARMER CAN NEVER PRODUCE THESE AT THE RATE OF THEIR CONSUMERS' DEMAND. PITY HOW ARABS ALWAYS DO ALL THE IDIOTIC THINGS THAT ULTIMATELLY AFFECT THEM AND ONLY THEM. IT WON'T AFFECT ISRAELIS AT ALL, BUT IT WILL DRASTICALLY AFFECT TGHE LIFE STYLE, NUTRITION AND THE HEALTH OF THE ARABS IN THE WEST BANK. IF ISRAEL RELEASES ALL ARABS FROM WORKING IN THE SETTLEMENTS, FORGET THIS BOYCOTT. THE ARABS WILL HAVE NOT A PENNY TO BUY EVEN THEIR OWN PRODUCTS WHICH AS IT IS ARE SCARCE, NOT PRODUCED IN GREAT QUANTITIES AND ARE USUALLY INFERIOR IN QUALITY. ISRAEL WON'T SUFFER. IT IS THE ARABS IN WEST BANK WHO WILL SUFFER THE MOST. ALSO, TO IMPOSE A 3 YEAR PRISON SENTENCE AND IMPOSE A TERROR RULE AND THREATS AGAINST ANYONE WHO CONTINUES TO BUY ISRAELI PRODUCTS BECAUSE THERE IS NO PALESTINIAN ALTERNATIVE, IS BARBARIC! THE PA IS ONLY PUNISHING THEIR OWN PEOPLE AND I BET IN EVERY ARAB LEADER'S HOUSE HOLD, THESE PRODUCTS WILL BE CONTINUED TO BE CONSUMED. HYPOCRITES! TAKING THEIR PEOPLE'S RIGHTS, BUT KEEPING THE GOODIES AND THE ISRAEI PRODUCTS IN THE LEADERS' HOMES. hameed aboughaze, iranian
15. Illegal
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (05.18.10)
Fayyad and Abbas know that such a boycott is illegal according to agreements signed between the PLO and Israel in establishing the Palestinian Authority. Apparently they guess that Netanyahu doesn't have the guts to do anything about it.
16. plenty of examples
Michael ,   Haifa   (05.18.10)
Ghandi did it to the British...the blacks in Mississippi did it to white businesses...the haredim do it to any business that annoys them, and it is also my right to choose not to buy goods or services from the settlements...non-violent opposition to what is seen as oppression is perfectly legitimate
17. How do I get a copy of the brochure
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (05.18.10)
How can I obtain a copy of the brochure so that I will make it a point to buy these products. Also, how do I get a list of PA based companies so that I know what not to purchase?
18. #8 Daniel Rimonim
Chris Linthwaite   (05.18.10)
If Israel does that it ewill be in breach of the Geneva Convention, think Radovan Karadzic and the siege of Sarajevo. And despite many opportunities to have themselves arrested in London Israel's elite don't seem to be keen in following your advice.
19. #7 America will not allow you to do so
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.18.10)
Don't forget "Israel" is still breathing thanks to the mercy of America. The world was blind, now sees with one eye, and very soon will open his two eyes, we're waiting for that historic moment.
20. :: Hammed - #14
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (05.18.10)
It is great that you (and others here) are so concerned about the Palestinians and their welfare, it is quite touching, but let me explain to you the following: Palestinians are *only* boycotting goods, produces and services from the illegal settlements in the WB - they are *not* boycotting goods or services from Israel. Thus the Palestinians are using their right to ‘shop around’ and can quite legitimately reject all goods and services from the illegal settlements.
21. To: No. 18
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.10)
It is not a violation of anything. We're just helping them have an effective boycott. What's wrong with that?
22. To: No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.18.10)
How do you propose that America stop Israel from sealing you off? Besides, if it's a boycott you want, it's a boycott you will get. Boycotts are two-way streets, you know. Amazing -- don't you people learn from your mistakes? Sixty-plus years of phenomenally bad choices have taught you nothing. Don't forget to boycott Israeli fresh drinking water and our medical clinics.
23. To number 5
Shimon ,   Poleg   (05.18.10)
BDS thanks for the advice. That's exactly what I and all fellow Israelis will be doing with Palestinian and Israeli Arab products. Boycott Divest Sanction. BTW I just fired my 4Palestinian workers BDS it's good!
24. The Muslim-Arabs boycotted the Jews in 1936-1939, they
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (05.18.10)
boycotted the Jews throughout Israel's existence. The only people who benefited from these boycotts were the Jews who devised new and better ways to advance economically. The only people who suffered from the boycotts were the Muslim-Arabs, in various ways. This boycott is going to lead of course to the same outcome: The Jews will benefit by devising new and better ways to produce and market products worldwide, while the Muslim-Arabs will stay behind, winning about being the victims of... their own attitude towards the Jews.
25. smoke and mirrors
Daniel ,   Washington, DC   (05.18.10)
Many of the items on the boycott list are just ridiculous, Carmel wine and Barkan wine have both been produced prior to 1967 and Pillsbury and Nature Valley have plants all around the world. Boycotting many of the products which are not available to Palestinians from other sources only hurts the Palestinians. The boycott is not a bad idea if you want to do a peaceful protest against Israel be my guest. But to boycott all these things at once? That seems like shooting oneself in the foot
26. # 16
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (05.18.10)
I agree with you 100%.
27. Provocation
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (05.18.10)
Obama promised to denounce provocation. I am waiting to see Obama's reaction to this boycott. Will Obama show he is biased ?
28. I hope the palestinian leadership can find some new jobs
zionist forever   (05.18.10)
There is already an economic problem in Judea & Samaria where unemployment is already between 30% - 40%. People who have jobs if they are working for the PA they are not always guarenteed their paycheck at the end of the month. The settlements at least provided a steady job. Stop people working for settlements or harm them economically then all that will happen is around 20,000+ palestinians will all get fired. Except for a small minority on the far left Israelis will continue to use settlement produce. Abroad you will get the people who just go out of their way to boycott Israel anyway who support the palestinians whilst everybody else just won't care where the stuff they buy comes from as long as they want it. Israel doe though need to go on the offensive refuse to buy things like fruit and flowers from palestinians and go out the way to buy Israeli. How are the palestinians going to manage when Israel fires them all and boycotts the stuff they stuff they make sold in Israel. Palestinians should just be aware this tactic can backfire and hurt them.

Sarah, can you tell all of us here ALL the steps that a Palestinian has to go through, just to have a hope of getting into Israel for urgent medical care?
