Being originally from Turkey and following Turkish media regularly let me open your eyes a little bit to the Turkish realities. This AKP rule for the last 8 years has radicalized the conservative religious people and the underprivileged poor masses creating an anti Israel and anti Semite atmosphere in the country. Even the new leader of the major opposition party the secular CHP Mr. Kilicdaroglu had to talk in support of the PM in this matter in order not to lose any voters. There is no doubt that no leadership in Turkey can be worse then this one or Erbakan's party but to change the public perception of the average Turk about Israel will take a very long time. Many years after this leadership is replaced with a decisive secular leadership and by that I mean no weak coalitions. What should Israel do: In my humble opinion not much at this time. Let Turkey change on its own because the minute there is the slightest suspicion that Israel is supporting opposition AKP and Erdogan will win votes. In fact they are already spreading false rumors that it was an Israeli plot to oust Deniz Baykal from the party creating scandal and bring in Kemal Kilicdaroglu. Turkish politics are that dirty.
