Having a "friend" like this is more dangerous than it is good. They pretend to help you, whilst they plan your downfall. I have no doubt that elements in the turkish government planned the flotilla incident. They had several incentives. Firstly they want to sacrifice Israel to sprout a friendship with their distant islamic brothers (the arabs). Secondly, they want to delay sanctions on iran (their new friend), which they achieved. Thirdly Israel has outlived its usefulness to turkey. We already supplied them with all the best weapons we have e.g. upgraded patton tanks 3rd gen, drones, many types of missiles, and many more. They have nothing left to do for us, as one thing we know for sure is that they are not going to help us increase our relations in the region, rather they want to use Israel as a sacrificial lamb.
