But they are easily cowed by "pro-Palestinians" who, apparently, threaten violence if Israelis, whom they hate, participate. When will this Palestinian aggression in Spain end? When will Palestinians learn that violence is not the answer?

Israel es el único país de Oriente Medio que celebra "Pride Parades" y que tiene banderas del orgullo en las calles. Israel es el único país de Oriente Medio donde Gays y Lesbianas tienen igualdad derechos. Existe una gran comunidad gay en Israel y gente de todo el mundo acude a sus eventos. Esta flagrante discriminación de elementos israelís va contra el fundamento básico de tolerancia del "Pride Parade". I think that the Israelis should go anyway. Just because the weren't "invited" doesn't mean they can't march in the parade. So they don't have to have a float. They could still march together without a float. Perhaps wearing the same T-shirts with a big beautiful Mogan David on it. If they should go I would join them! Don't give up Israeli gays. The organizers of Madrid Pride don't represent everyone even if they are reaping the benifits of the parade.

They are not banning the Israelis attending the parade, they are withdrawing support for an official, City of Tel Avi bus. The bus officially sponsored by the city government, and they are doing it because of the lack of condemn to the flotilla attack by the City officials. Think what you will about it, but that's quite different from 'banning' the Israelis Furthermore, nobody is mentioning security reasons, the Gay Pride is an islamist target anyhow, no improvement on that front. They are not appeasing anybody, they are using it to express its direct condemn of the flotilla attack.

Of course, no one would mention security reasons - that would be an embarrassment for the whole country.

They should have withdrawn the invitation from anyone from Israel's foreign ministry, which has unnecessarily involved itself in an ugly incident that directly involves people from all over the world, including Spain. Support for and strong ties with Israel's LGBT community should continue, and Madrid's Pride organizers should be ashamed of themselves for not distinguishing between state and civil society. Many Israeli organizations, including LGBT organizations, also disagree with the way the country has handled the arrival of the flotilla. Pride organizers are throwing the baby out with the bath water. What a lost opportunity.

I'm Spanish, non-Jew, non-gay, but pro-Israeli, and I do hope all gays in Spain boycott the parade this year. Pathetic!
