Let all those ships come in! Stop and inspect all foreign ships to make sure they're not carrying weapons and agitators, figure out the amount of the humanitarian aid they carry and then reduce Israel's contribution to Gaza by that amount. Realizing that they'd be supporting Israel by default, I bet that humanitarian aid to Gaza BS by various and assorted a--hats would come to a screeching halt in no time.

Very, very astute question. Gaza is non-sovereign territory, therefore it cannot exercise sovereignty in its own right. Egypt washed its hands of Gaza years ago, but even if it hadn't, Israel acquired Gaza in 1967 while fighting a defensive war, and as such, is the only country with a natural right to exercise sovereignty -- even following the pullout from Gaza. Since Hamas has very much maintained armed hostilities against Israel, Israel has every right as a sovereign nation to impose an embargo upon Gaza. It is a recognized embargo, and fully legal. Again, very good question. I, too, think that the ships should be blown out of the water. Imagine what might happen to a "humanitarian flotilla" attempting to run the United States blockade of Cuba. Better still, what would happen to a "humanitarian flotilla" attempting to run the United States blockade of North Korea and of Myanmar? I'll tell you what. A lot of sunk ships. The right of Israel to exercise its sovereignty is no lesser than that of the United States or any other country, for that matter. The right to impose an embargo upon a hostile entity is a sovereign right of nations.
