It is amazing to see how ignorant some people are. I'm neutral to the whole middle east crisis situation, but everyone seems to forget the millions (read that again and again to understand what a million means) of innocent children and mothers that were shot down worse than animals by the Israeli's in Palestine and by the American's in Iraq. If you really believe in equality, then you should believe any country (or religion for that matter) has the right to defend itself (in the correct manner). I just cant believe how people forget so easily...it is probably easy to just ignore the wrong doings of your own nation and start to look for sympathy and pity from others when you get pricked by a needle (like little babies). And no body is in support of the bombings, not even the Muslims themselves. Those who carried them out are damned bastards. May they suffer.

thought it was a rather stupid article/opinion piece with only kind of general statements. The west IS an ally of israel, and always will be, true, but that's hardly the question here i think. the west and the UN have always been supportive towards the 1948/67 state of israel, and by protesting against israel, i never meant to put israel "on the altar" for sacrifice as aznar concludes... what a stupid remark/corparison/conclusion. like everything is black and white and there is no road in between. its like saying that you can only support israel 100% or be fully against them. and his reflection to the creation of israel and the UN is completely useless and out of its context, cause the borders are not at all anymore on what the UN agreed upon in 67. ok, u could maybe even argue that the golan (syrian border) is strategic for protection and even that the egyptian border should be completely closed at gaza, but occupying the west bank is a whole other issue and has nothing to do with security or threats from iran and others. of course extremist islam is quite a security threat to the western style of living that should be closely monitored, but it does not give israel "carte blanche" to ignore all sorts of human rights, also created by the UN.
