31. Response to Tarik #13
oxo ,   USA   (06.19.10)
Except for N. Korea, none of the nuclear powers you mention are interested in using nuclear weapons to achieve genocide of another group of people. Iran however has stated it wants to destroy the Jews and Israel. That is the difference my simpleminded fellow human. That simpleton, is why Iran should not have the nuclear weapon.
32. War, war and war!
D. Schickelstein ,   Cyprus   (06.19.10)
Mr. D. Schickelgruber once said that same thing, so did Prof. Erbrechtesserman from Tel. Aviv
33. Let Arabs deal with Iran
(06.19.10)
After they become Persian slaves.
34. False survey
N. Arfan ,   Saylorsburg, PA   (06.19.10)
I can tell you as an Arab that most of us don't want a strike on Iran and we support their nuclear energy independence. So I have no idea from where you're getting your data from? But I can assure you that your news media is plain propaganda in order to ignite a new war against Iran. Arabs support Iran and love Iran. Those who support a strike against Iran couldn't be Arabs, there is no way. The only ones who support that war are the Arab rulers for fear to lose their seat.
35. Peter, theknow Pew Research Center is pretty well-known here
Persian CAT ,   USA   (06.19.10)
It is the Fox News of righ wing "research". This poll was designed to produced the results the neo-cons and IAPAC have been paying for. There are a few Israeli officials who are too smart to fall for these shenanigans. Because they know what is waiting for them if they attack Iran and that is precisely why they have not done it so far. Those officials will be the ones who will have to explain to the Israeli people why millies are raining on their cities and explaing to the mothers of IAF pilots why they can't bury the burned out bodies of their sons will not come home for a long time, or ever. Think about it folks. The "globe" does NOT like Israel that much either. The problem is the Pew "Research" did NOT ask them that question. I was not paid to do that, I guess.
36. US would need to bomb, Israel would need 3 raids to fully do
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (06.19.10)
Israel has no heavy or medium bombers only fighter/bombers (F16,F15) also refueling would be a problem, risky but doable. One raid would only delay Iran for afew months, since it would have to use bombs to take out radar, missiles systems and air fields first. Also does Iran already have N. Korea nukes and Hezbollah/Hamas would become a problem.
37. Delegitimizing Iran's Mullahcracy!
Daniel ,   Los Angeles, USA   (06.19.10)
Take that, Turkey!
38. Tarik
Daniela   (06.19.10)
Obama is behind Israel and its right to exist in peace and security in his way. Obama is against Iranian nukes together with the rest of the world. Iran is dangerous
39. The arabs support striking Iran
Johnny ,   Nazareth   (06.19.10)
because they are sunni and in Iran are shiaa. Sunni hates shiaa, that's why they are backing the strike...
40. LIES!!
Ahmed ,   JORDAN   (06.19.10)
No No No! This is Not True, I am Arab and I am with IRAN INSIDE OUT... everyone else I know is the same
41. ***Sarah***
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (06.19.10)
Pakistan is clearly on Irans side, they have sold this shit to them and the Indonesians are the nicest people on the planet, and as You so truly said, they have also trained Hussein Obama...the circle comes to a close... The most important of the Muslim states is Saudi Arabia, it has the oil and the decisive geographic location between Israel and Iran. With Saudi support, Israel could circumvent the reluctant Americans in Iraq --if this variation will ever play out, Americas reputation as a "superpower" will be significantly damaged...Iran will be beaten up and Israel will emerge seemingly against all odds, as THE stabilizing force in the whole of the Middle East... Goodby Master Obumma...
42. Information for cynics: The Pew Centre
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.19.10)
advertises itself as a nonpartisan American "fact tank" which refuses to take sides in terms of policies. It has been funded by the Pew Charitable Foundation since 1995 and was actually established under a different name in 1990. The Centre employs approximately 135 people including senior fellows, a board of directors, project managers and staff. Ongoing projects are constantly updated on its very impressive website. It deals with both national (American) and international issues.
43. people say take them out
DAVID ASLESON ,   MINNEAPOLIS USA   (06.19.10)
its easy to say take them out....but when you have a majority of the world wants a investigation when Israel blinks. ISRAEL HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFEND ITSELF.
44. Stop delluding yourselves
IRAN#1   (06.19.10)
The bankrupt "west" can't even afford to start a proper fireworks let alone anther war. But if Israelis feel suicidal, Iran will oblige them and send them to visit Hashem promptly.
45. #13 Tariq Good v. Evil
Len ,   Florida, USA   (06.19.10)
There is good and evil in the world. Iran's ruling dictatorship and its enablers stand for evil. The people of the MiddleEast deserve a better world---but enablers who defend this evil with relativism are responsible for any human suffering which results. There is no freedom in the MiddleEast. Only mob rule or Mafia style dictatorships. Freedom does not mean majority or mob rule. It means respect for others, for dissent , for differences, for the losing argument, for rationality, for all religion, for no religion, for cartoons......The MiddleEast will never be free or prosper because it preaches and reinforces hate---that is why so many from these states immigrate to the West. Only enablers do not call out this evil. Calling it out is the first step in eradicating these evil ideologies. We in the West teach our kids love and respedt of others--we must also teach them to stand up to evil before it takes over and destroys the love we teach. How many Noble scientists have thiese cultures of hate produced for the world? Human progess and serenity depends a reformation. Hopefully, it will be peaceful--we need your help--do not be an enabler.
46. No war was ever prevented with war.
lara ,   Australia   (06.19.10)
Sanctions along with military action will just result in another Iraq.
47. #13, Tarik
Chatich   (06.19.10)
Duh. The US, UK, France, India and Israel are not governed by apocolyptic megalomaniac dictators with an itchy red button finger, and their leaders have never threatened the genocidal destruction of another nation. If you can't see the difference you are part of the problem. Pakistan, North Korea and to some extent Russia are a little dodgier and may well need to be bombed someday (hopefully not) but at this point in time the biggest threat to world peace is the monkey of tehran.
48. The false survey is purely pathetic political propaganda
Hamuda ,   Gaza   (06.19.10)
However, does Israel dare to attack Iran, Surely not, as Israel knows the horrible sequences of such attack.
49. Backing for Iran strike ?
DT ,   TA Israel   (06.19.10)
Not surprising at all ! They will just expect and hope Israel will do their dirty work then punish Israel with UN sanctions, burning Israeli Embassies, more "Goldstones " the lot.
50. Agree or not, Iran to be decapitated....
Archangel ,   Roma   (06.19.10)
and like Germany after WWII, it can rehabilitate itself after Ahmadinejad regime disposed of.
51. Consequences....
idkak ,   Istanbul, Turkey   (06.19.10)
Yep all is fine with the mob slogan "attack Iran, attack Iran", but Iran isn't a small country and it knows pretty well what will happen if it doesn't resist (aka Iraq). So yes attacking might achieve the goal of destroying a couple of targets, but the consequences will be an all out retaliation attack by Iran to the attacker. A possible shower of missiles. Say you caught a few of those with defense systems, what about the rest? It might look bold shouting songs of war but in the end the worst peace is better than the best war. Basically everyone currently is pushing Iran to build nukes, why? simple need for protection, as if it did have nukes no-country would so hastily attack it, try to change their regime....
52. Global strike
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (06.19.10)
If a vast majority of states supports a strike against Iran, they shall build a coalition and strike it instead of waiting for Israel to do the job.
53. Nukes
Stephen Goy ,   Manchester UK   (06.19.10)
Think VERY carefully about this one. Since when did it become Israels job to nuke Iran or anyone, with the probability of starting worldwide nuclear armageddon? Do all you "hawks" clamouring for this really think it will stop with taking out Iran? Just because of some poll??????? Get real & be careful what you wish for, because you might get it............ in spades!
54. Be real careful what you wish for
spyguy68 ,   Denver, USA   (06.19.10)
What will Iran and China and a lot of other countries do after the first bombs fall on Iran? Do you really think that Iran will just roll over? Iran will hit US/Israel with everything they can come up with, including destroying most of the oil infrastructure in the gulf area. One ugly thing about oil infrastructure is, it is insanely easy to destroy (ask BP) and takes a long time and a lot of money to rebuild. Not only that but Iran can easily keep the shipping lanes blocked with very simple boats filled with explosives that are cheap to make in large quantities and very hard to defend against. How high do you think the price of oil will go? How high does the price of oil have to go before the US stops functioning? How high does oil have to go before Americans start to starve because there is no diesel to transport the millions of pounds of food that must be transported. All wars evolve in ways that are completely unpredictable and attacking Iran would probably be the worst thing Israel/US could ever do. It could destroy Israel and permanently cripple the US. It is the highest level of HUBRIS (Pride) to think Israel can "win" in a war with Iran. In reality it will lose, the only question is how badly? Be really, really careful what you wish for, because wishes NEVER turn out the way you think.
55. Diplomacy beats military solution
Barka ,   Canada   (06.19.10)
The 'Bomb Iran'-battle cry has been loud and clear - and promoted in Israel more than anywhere else. Does this country EVER consider anything else but military solutions to solve its problems? I am sick of it, and I question the poll results on the grounds that just as many, if not more, people around the world consider Israel's failed policies over decades to be the most likely cause of another ME war. See how often Iran attacked anybody since the 19th century, than look at the record of Israel and her best friend, the US (who does not seem interested in a diplomatic solution either) Punish by sanctions and war - the USreal way to peace Thanks, but no thanks
56. I'm with you
Barka ,   Canada   (06.19.10)
being neither Jew nor Arab, and everybody else I know is with you, too Enough ready of Israeli and American exceptionalism
57. Couldn't agree more
Barka ,   Canada   (06.19.10)
How stupid is Israel to think they'd get away with this? As if it would even take nukes to wipe out the entire country If the mullahs were simply hateful and suicidal, as Israel claims to deflect from their own hateful policies, they would have attacked Israel a long time ago, with conventional weapons
58. Bombing Iran will never end its nuclear program.
Yahya ,   Tehran   (06.19.10)
forget about humanity or justice etc... even if you consider it pragmatically, bombing and war will not stop Iranians. It may cost them some money or delay the program a little... but stop it? no way
59. Makes Sense - Iran's President ....
Christy ,   Boston, US   (06.19.10)
wants to unite all Islamic states under his leadership. Makes sense his aspirations are unwelcome to other Muslim Sates' leaders. President Ahmadinejad has not kept his global plans secret. He has plans to rule a world united under Islam. He'll start by uniting the Muslim countries under his leadership. The current leaders of the Muslim countries don't care for this plan.
60. :: So funny!!
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.19.10)
Look at all the Ynuts getting giddy at this single poll! Some of them are foaming at the mouths as if all their birthdays came at once! Just a shame that Israel can’t attack Iran like the Ynuts long for as Obama has the reins on Israel Just as well as I’d hate to see Israeli citizens needlessly killed because of a few Ynuts.
