61. Iran has vowed repeatedly to "wipe Israel off the map" and
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (06.19.10)
destroy America. World leaders are fools if they ignore these threats.
62. ynet, please show me.
Persian CAT   (06.19.10)
I challenge ynetnews.com to show the ACTUAL DATA this "research" is based on. Here is the link to Pew web site in case you never checked: http://people-press.org/reports You own this to your serious readers who still don't think you've become the Faux News of Israel!
63. POLL = Pure FABRICATION
Not Fooled! ,   NYC   (06.19.10)
There is No possibility that 66% of Americans (or the other nations) are in favor of a strike against Iran. ZERO POSSIBILITY.
64. Poll: Globe backs Iran strike
EB190 ,   Brazil   (06.19.10)
I bet this poll was made by jews among jews.

I’m passing this ref on in case it is of interest, needless to say polls are very unreliable and one should never believe the results of just one poll. Chapter 4. Iran and Its Nuclear Weapons Program http://pewglobal.org/2010/06/17/obama-more-popular-abroad-than-at-home/5/
66. #61- Iran has NOT vowed to destroy Israel
Amin ,   Vancouver, Canada   (06.19.10)
Linda Rivera, please don't be so ignorant. Iran has never threatened Israel militarily. You sound like another one of those Jewish extremist American neocons calling for more American wars based on lies and paranoia.
67. Iran
Mary ,   Chicago   (06.19.10)
Signed the NNPT and is enriching uranium to 4% for use in a nuclear power plant. The deal made withBrazil and Turkey is to exchange more highly enriched uranium (medical isotpes) so they will not be accused of trying to build the bomb. The Pew people are famous for framing their questions in a way to elicit the desired response so as far as I am concerned this is nothing but usraeli propaganda. The ignorance of the people who believe the lies shows how entrenched the precepts of the protocols have become. Wake up world, an Iran attack is not an option.
68. EXCEPT IN THIS CASE...................#24
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (06.19.10)
Yah? Poor show Sarah!!! Indeed trying to protect yourself all the time.Leave aside these statistics,no one will dare attack Iran.Be it known to you.We shall be discussing this subject next summer,Sarah!
69. Matty Groves, thanks for the info.
Persian CAT   (06.19.10)
What makes this "poll" utterly useless is Pew's small print about Questions 84 and 85, which specifies "Asked only of those who oppose Iran acquiring nuclear weapons"! Why would anyone bother to ask about the "popularity" of Ahmadinejad?!!! To me that is THE WTF question of the year, don't you think so?
70. THE STATISTICS MEAN NOTHING
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (06.19.10)
And in future will not as well. The momentum gathered is all theoratical and no one will dare attack Iran.Let Sarah provide you all with some more statistics for the future.
71. Ben and Peter, I take back what I said about Pew...
Persian CAT   (06.19.10)
I visited their web site and I found their materials credible. The main problem with Pew's poll Questions 84 and 85, which this article and a couple of others in the Arab "media" are base on, have been asked ONLY of 'those who oppose Iran acquiring nuclear weapons" according the Pew Research Center web site. Ben, I agree with your assessment of the situation in the Persian Gulf.

Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.19.10)
Polls are generally just an exercise in gauging how well misinformed and manipulated the general public are by mass news media. The most obvious example I can think of are the polls that were conducted after 9/11 where the majority of Americans thought that Saddam/Iraq were responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Obviously Iraq/Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 (the Saudis did though) but because the main news medias pushed this lie on behalf of the Bush Admin most Americans ended up believing this lie. The same is true nowadays, if the general public keep hearing news reports with the words “Iran” and “Nuclear Weapon” and how this would be a ‘bad thing’ they will inevitably be conditioned into thinking Iran is developing nukes REGARDLESS of any facts that point to the contrary. By and large most polls are pretty useless as the polls themselves do not take media manipulation into consideration.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.19.10)
The "bankrupt" west manages to keep electricity going 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Iran cannot. Iran achieved a shame-faced draw after battling a much inferior Iraq for eight years. And you lost 500,000 in the process. Trust me -- the last thing on earth Iran wants -- or needs -- is a war with Israel. Israel will turn out your lights, permanently. Hey -- not a half bad idea, actually ....

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.19.10)
It took Iran eight years to achieve a shamefaced draw with Iran. They lost 500,000 in the process. Israel isn't Iraq. You just might see all those mullahs go to their great reward in a giant mushroom cloud. I think Iran would make a SPLENDID parking lot? Don't you? That's what's coming -- get used to the idea ....
75. Here is one American against an attack on Iran
Leon Deinos ,   Pittsburgh USA   (06.19.10)
Here is one American against an attack on Iran. An attack on Iran will only be another deadly, stupid disaster by the Americans.
76. To: No. 75
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.19.10)
Don't worry. With the current commander-in-chief, the United States is more likely to sit, quaking in its little booties. Israel will retrieve your dead from the Carter-inspired failed exercise. We will send them home to you with honor and grace. That's how Israel rolls, Leon. That's how Israel rolls.
77. To: No. 68
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.19.10)
One does wonder why you are pontificating from Londonistan. Scared to go home, Mahmood? You should be. Cheeribye.
78. To: No. 68
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.19.10)
Bring it on, baby. Israel ain't Iraq. Still -- I think a great glowing cinder where Iran used to be would be a GOOD THING! As salaam aleikum, @$$hole! You have NO idea what's coming .....
79. SARAH.THE DAY-DREAMER..........#74
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (06.19.10)
Fellow readers,Sarah is at her best.Look at her predictions? If it is not day-dreaming,what else can we call. She constantly talks about turning Iran into a parking lot not realising that the other side may not have any parking space should any country dares attack Iran. But,as predicted, her enthusiasm will soon wear off as her predictions, fellow readers, dates back from 2007.
80. israel's enemies
Mirza ,   Londonistan   (06.20.10)
A more important conclusion is that the polls suggest a surge in non-shia and even non-muslim support for Iran's present government AND its quest for nukes. Clearly when the US-Israel axis bombs and occupies countless nation states via private armies left, right and centre, people who normally are the antithesis of shia dominance suddenly realise that nuclear detente in the middle east would be a good thing. For let's be honest here ynuts, Iran will not nuke anyone and Ahmedinijad never said he wanted Israel wiped off the map. It only wants regime and policy change in Israel to make things fairer for Palestinians.
81. YOU ARE A SPOKESWOMAN FOR AIPAC....#76
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (06.20.10)
Even the highest authorities in the organisation have been more humble than yourself. Are you takig up a post or you already hold one?:)
82. :: Mahmood - #79
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (06.20.10)
True she is a Walter Mitty character alright, always making stories up. No one can take her seriously anymore particularly after she was proven to be a fraud. Let her have her silly rants then show her up – that’s what I do anyway.
83. Iran
Ira Gold ,   Davis,USA   (06.20.10)
This poll is cooked and fabricated in Israel, and it is bogous, and out right lie.Infact another poll taking by the American Center For the West Asian Studies, indicate 95% of the Arabs are against any military action against Iran.
84. To: No. 79
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.10)
Inciting the masses? How very Iranian of you, Mahmood. It won't work. Been home lately?
85. To: No. 81
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.20.10)
No. I'm just a major contributor (and proud of it). Eat your heart out, loser.
86. #80, Mirza, you are so uneducated it is truly sad
Jake ,   USA   (06.20.10)
US-Israel axis? Only in your Al-Jazeera fantasy-land is there such a thing as a US-Israel axis. You are so very wrong about non-Shia support for Iran. So wrong that the Sunni Muslims in the Middle East (real Muslims who are are Arab and not living in London) are secretly cooperating with Israel. Lastly, Mr. Ahmadinejad did state quite clearly that Israel must be wiped off the map -- several times. He is yet another tyrant who is trying to annihilate the Jews, and will end up where all the rest of his kind ended up -- in the dust-bin of history, and eventually hell.
87. What about Israel?
(06.20.10)
If that is true, muslems support an attack to Israel by 110%
