Please enlighten me, Gee…
Why is it, do you think, that no country in the world agrees with your claim that Israel has a legal right to occupy the West Bank and east Jerusalem?
Why is it, Gee, that so many people and so many highly respected organisations (Red Cross, for instance) around the world believe that the blockade of Gaza constitutes collective punishment on the Palestinian people?
How do you explain, Gee, the motivation of people from all around the world to organise and take part in the flotillas and risk their lives against the IDF, one of the most powerful forces on earth and known for it’s brutality towards peaceful protestors? I’m sure you have a ready answer for these questions too, along the lines that the reason is, because deep down the whole world has an ineradicable hatred of Jews… yawn. Try to come up with an honest answer.
All you’ve done with your posts here is prove that Israel, along with every state in the world, has a right, within conditions, to impose a blockade on another state. So what? What I’ve shown is that Israel is not keeping within those conditions in regards to its blockade of Gaza - which is the whole point, in case you missed it… which, evidently, you did. You can cite all the points of law you like supporting Israel’s right to impose a blockade with military objectives, and I’d not argue with one of them, but Israel’s policy in Gaza amounts to collective punishment with political objectives, and no country, including Israel, has a right to impose collective punishment on innocent people.
[Another point, Gee: when have I ever shown support for rocket attacks on innocent Israeli people? Whatever gives you the idea that I, a Kiwi from New Zealand, the most peaceful country on earth, renowned for our friendliness towards all people, would support the killing of innocent people? I do not support the slaughter of innocents by anyone, whether it’s by Hamas, Hezbollah, USA, NZ, Israel, or some common street criminal, and I am offended by the inference.]
