31. The Damnation of Faust = arab version

not that different from the original ,; the ultimate destination is Hell, already overflowing with a surplus of ' shaheeds ', with muslim whores in short supply. ---- To you arab children, to you children manufacturers (called mothers in civilized circles). You might as well go and join your allah, your muhammad, (he adores children) ASAP, since palestine?will never be yours. The sad part is that you are brought into this world in order to feed your leaders "grinding machines" that your parents must lubricate with your blood. Why do you think your so-called father needs so many ' mothers'. The more bloodshed, the more shaheeds, the more shaheeds, the more mephistopheles will love you. The same passionate love he is lavishing on your Yassin, hot and cozy. . Good luck kids.

Palestinian leader from Gaza in his hateful and dramatic style, saying that "We Muslims love death like Jews appreciate life!" I think we cannot make peace with a people whose hearts and minds are so hardened that anger and violence can, and will be, their only responses. And, unfortunately, it appears none of these crystallized attitudes can change appreciably even if a homeland is bequeathed to them. We don't do this with our children here in Israel.

35. I witness of a witness
observer   (06.22.10)
In Mecca, about a year before Shiekh Ahmad Yassin was assassinated, I came across the Shiekh sitting on his wheel chair entering the great mosque (Haram, Kaaba) from Bab Essalam (Gate of Peace). Only two young men were escorting him; one pushing the wheel chair and the other one in front making a path in the crowed for the Shiekh. The man entered the mosque in peace, and I witnessed a Witness (literal word of martyr in Arabic). Ynet, do you have the gut!

Restrictions on the Jihad should be known by every Muslim. Jihad should be only to make word of God high; simply word of God is the Righteous words and deeds. Forbidden jihad is that aimed at unjust, vengeance and racial causes. If a Muslim is killed during a forbidden jihad, he or she is anything but martyr. do the woman marry in Jenna ? Ugly and old women will be young pretty women in Jenna and marry men, then why no hint on that during world live? the good woman is usually shy to say she desire a man, that's why women are promised reward with general meaning in the term: beautiful lovely rewards. Muslim during fight to raise word of Allah would care to achieve his even if get killed for that i.e. care to get killed as enemy care to get life, that's he doesn't fear to die for the supreme cause. One could say that in the Sephardi culture, realism wins out over idealism. For example, the idea and the practice of martyrdom are quite alien to Sephardi Jews. In matters of life and death, with situations of persecution and forced conversion imposed by non-Jews upon them.

...been invoked on this thread. Firstly let me say that the indoctrination of Israeli and Palestinian children to ‘hate the other side’ is totally immorally wrong and heinous to the nth degree. Allowing children to watch the likes of Farfour (before he was killed off) is just as despicable as allowing children write messages on bombs. Likewise recruiting children into groups like Hamas, Al-Quds Brigades, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, etc is just as loathsome as recruiting children into groups like Bar Giora, Hashomer, Haganah, etc. Alas both Israeli and Palestinian societies are by their natures militarized, both societies lend themselves to child indoctrination, in Israel’s case we saw this very clearly when the Yesha Council threw hundreds of children on the ‘frontline’ during the Gaza pullout or the many reports of settler children attacking Palestinians and in the Palestinian case where their children are used as mules, like the Jewish children in the Warsaw Ghetto, to smuggle contraband or attack Israelis. You see folks both sides of this conflict indoctrination their children and as much as ye love to bitch and condemn either side the truth of the matter is that it is the children, both Israeli and Palestinian, which are the true victims of this conflict.

43. #30 M. Hartley on Aisha
observer   (06.22.10)
The marriage to Aisha was a political bond between the new state head and her father, one of the closest and oldest companions Abu Baker: the man who had stood by Muhammad through the earliest and toughest times. She was actually betrothed to another before, and that other denied her when she converted to Islam from paganism, hence the turn of events to save her reputation. She was 10 (betrothed) and 15 (married) not as some stated, 6 and 9. In that age (7th century), most men and women matured and got married young. It was very common to be married by the age of fifteen. The age of 18 is a modern invention. In another 14 centuries the age of consent may be 25 or 30. Islam was the first in history to give women legal rights, the right of inheritance and contracts. It also gave them the right to choose a husband, and to divorce on request while keeping all their prior and accumulated wealth and dowry. They never had any of these rights before. Aisha herself was a political and cultural entity to be reckoned with. Most of what survives today came down through her. She even raised and commanded an army, years later. Do you know that a lot of Jewish women who lived in Islamic countries insisted that their marriage contract be according to Islamic terms? why? because they felt secure so.

there are no songs about killing period. but ask any israeli and he will know by heart 20 peace songs reaching our hands to our neighbores. I gerantee.
45. "Matty", thanks for your humanistic post
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.22.10)
but you fail to denote that Israeli Jewish children (I don't mean teenagers) are not systematically exposed to hatred of Arabs in any way proportionate to what ordinarily goes on in Palestinian homes. I think this is a significant difference between the two peoples. Killing and hating Arabs as a heroic act is not instilled in our psyches at such a young and impressionable age. For Israelis, there is both fear and marginalization of Arabs (Palestinians) but nothing like what we have viewed on the video. The impressions people are exposed to are mediated through our developmental stages of cognition and affect; that is why these videos are so powerful and, as a result, so threatening to a peaceful solution between our two peoples, yours and mine.
46. #25 - If Nour wants to go home...why not petition Hamas?
William ,   Israel   (06.22.10)
Since 1948, "refugees" were given the option to return "home" under two conditions - that they become peaceful citizens just as those Arabs who chose not to heed the Arab leaders' demands....and to end ALL aggression against the Jewish State. Both the Arab leaders and the "refugees" said no. They pretty much sealed their fate, and until they go that step, there is no more reason for discussion. With each passing day, the option becomes more and more remote. Nour should enjoy time in Ramallah - that's the closest they'd get.

when will the world protest for these kids? When will the world protest for the women? The world feeds the monster with appetising snacks who then eats the kids and their moms.
48. #37 - not exactly comparable, Matty
William ,   Israel   (06.22.10)
You've spoken of one small section of Israeli society and compared that with a huge section of "Palestinian" society. Case in point - in Israel, there are NO summer camps that teach weapons or racism to children, but Hamas, IJ, Al-Aqsa Martyrs brigade all DO. In Israel, the only shows on TV for kids are the same quality of learning material as exists in the West, not Farfour or some dumb character showing how great it is to kill Jews and become a shaheed. In Israel, there are no kids singing praises of killing innocents, nor even adults interviewed saying racist things, as you hear on the streets of the "Palestinians". for instance, one young adult "Palestinian" woman stated for the cameras "I hate all Jews, especially the religious. I want to kill them all...with my bare hands"....or the mother who says "I am so proud that my child became a martyr by killing a Jew (notice - not "Israeli" but Jew). I wish I had many more sons to offer to Allah." There is not systematic racism in Israel nor are any "indoctrinated" into the military prior to the age of 18. We teach peace in our schools. The "Palestinians" still have Israel gone from all maps and their mythical narrative in school books. Hardly worth comparing.

50. #46 Lebensraum in the West Bank
observer   (06.22.10)
Israel is gearing up to deport thousands more Palestinians from their own land. Israel increasingly refers to the West Bank, which the Israeli army occupied in 1967, as Eretz Yisrael (land of Israel). Sometime the same term is applied to Jordan which some Jewish leaders call "the eastern land of Israel".
51. #41 - actually, many denounced it
William ,   Israel   (06.22.10)
many politicians and Israeli soccer executives have denounced this and work with police to stop instigators from getting into the games and from these chants devolving into full-blown violence. Unfortunately, this type of crap is known in soccer all around the world. Still, not as bad as the Leftist Spaniards who throw banana peels on the field and yell racist chants when they play any African team.
52. Appendage to post #45
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.22.10)
When I was a boy, about age ten or eleven, I felt very pro-Israeli (it was shortly after we had completed our War of Independence. There was a charity called CARE which offered to help people in the "holyland" by giving them a package of food and other essential goods in return for a $10 contribution. So I sent in a contribution and later eceived, through the mail, an acknowledgement with thanks and the addition that the contribution had gone to a Palestinian tuberculosis patient. I was upset and told my father about it, saying that I wanted this contribution to fund a Jewish person in need. His remark was the following: It doesn't matter who it goes to as long as it helps someone in need. I've never forgotten this remark and I think it has guided me all the rest of my days. On the other hand, the hatred perpetrated in the minds of children (not teenagers) also follows them the rest of their days.

it matters that it stops period...any peace achieved in the future will be tainted ....doomed to failure because of this type of activity....if you are interested in peace then Join those who resoundly condem this type of activity...failure to do so makes one complicit with it... I have started a digg discusion on this...ynet apparently hasn't all allowed my post with the link to it....

Of course there is a significant difference – one is the occupier and one is the occupied. I would beg to differ, by 2025 approx 20-30% of all Jewish Israeli school children are predicted to be ‘ultra-Orthodox Jews’. Off hand I don’t have the current stats but the point remains that each society is not run by extremists yet each society has these extremists and they are growing in number because the secular societies have not reached a common peace. As you well know Israel as a whole has swung to the far right in the last few decades and the ultra-Orthodox community is growing at an alarming rate. Likewise Palestinian society is shifting, albeit not at the same pace, to the right. Also there is no denying that Jewish ultra-Orthodox views/mindsets are ‘religious racist’ in nature and these ultra-Orthodox people see themselves ‘superior’ to both secular Israelis and Arabs in general due to their ‘god-given rights’. I suppose that it all boils down to percentages, each side has its extremists who will gladly brainwash young children to suit their purposes yet these extremists do *not* represent the majority of either side. Agreed but even without any form of ‘forced’ indoctrination children will often follow the local social/cultural memes. For example Palestinian children will attack the IDF/Israelis with stones because they are told that “Israelis are occupying Palestinian land”, likewise Jewish settler children will attack Palestinians with stones because they are told that “Palestinians are living in the land that ‘god’ gave exclusively to Jews”. I would also argue that Palestinian children are given greater causality to ‘hate’ than Israeli children ie: their brother/cousin may be in an Israeli jail, their mother may have been humiliated at a checkpoint, their father may have been killed by the IDF, their home may have been demolished by Israelis etc etc etc. Basically it is far easier to ‘hate’ without any form of indoctrination when one is living under occupation due to the very nature of such occupation. A reminder that I am not a Arab/Palestinian nor a Jew/Israeli so don’t try and pigeonhole me in either camp. To sum up: it is undeniable that children in *both* societies are ‘taught to hate’ or they ‘learn to hate’ and they are the victims of this conflict because both sides can’t live together under the current situation ie: Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. In short: Less occupation – less hate.

This clip is one of many responds to Ben Gurion “The old will die and the young will forget.” when you will understand that Arab are not native Indians! you think you can wipe them out and take their land and expect them to dance with you? our land is our dignity without it we are nothing. dying for it is our way to honor our dignity. You think I’m not saddened by this clip. I want a bright future to our children and all children but built on justice in their own land. what do you expect from miserable and hopeless people? look at your capability of fighting and theirs. They have nothing to fight with except their bodies. They will fight in any way until they liberate their land. you came to them..they didn’t start it. to those who thinks that there is no peace between us, I can tell you that you’re for the first time right about that. we will never forget the genocide and ethnic cleansing to our people for 62 years and we will never surrender even if you kill us all . we’re resisting you since the day you came and we will continue until you leave. Every occupied nation have the right to fight the occupier in any way they can.
56. Thanks for your comments on Aisha,
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (06.23.10)
"observer" #30. I have just reread the section on Aisha as a warrior woman in Tarek Fatah's book, "Chasing A Mirage" and it certainly backs up some of your statements. It is also of interest that Jewish women turned to her as a model of independence and feminine strength. Where did you obtain this information? I wonder if you could comment on the following: http://thelastcrusade.org/2009/08/07/hamas-plays-host-to-pedophilia/. In this very disturbing video, to the best of my recollection, about 145 formally dressed Muslim men are shown with their young brides, none over age nine, at a mass wedding ceremony in Gaza. The girls are all dressed in white and garishly made up (cosmetics). It is extraordinary. Can you explain this? Is it a perversion of what The Prophet did which was to marry young girls who were in need of protection because they were orphans although the marriages remained unconsumated? If the Hamas ceremony was not a perversion, what was its rationale? And why were the girls so garishly made up? Thanks, in advance, for your response.

60. #59 - You're right, you were hating for centuries
William ,   Israel   (06.23.10)
Jews were welcomed into the Palestine Sultanate by the Turks and purchased property to live on. Only when the Turks fell, did Arab racism manifest itself into massacres of Jews, before Jews ever lifted a finger. Arabs rose up and killed their Jewish neighbors which they were friends with for years prior, simply under the incitement of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. Infact, most of those who claim to be "Palestinians" today are part of the mass illegal economic migration from other Muslim regions. Something well-documented by Western govts.
