Weird he is not this tough with the enemies of the US....
32. Beloved Palestine now now not tomorrow
JUDAH THE LION   (07.06.10)
The land of Israel which you calling Palestine is not Muslim or Arab land. This land of ISRAEL and JERUSALEM is the capital of ISRAEL belong to us the JEWS with or without the world or OBAMA approval.Check with you Korean if there is sentence saying YA BNEI ISRAIL.Jerusalem is the city of KIng Solomon and KIng David.BNEI ISRAIL AND THE TWO KINGS WERE JEWS NOT MUSLIMS.You MUSLIMS AND ARABS your land is in Arabia and your holy place is in Mecca and Medina.Jerusalem not mentioned in your Korean even once and Mohammed never put his foot in Jerusalem. You are claiming Mohammed went to Heaven from Jerusalem. How he went to Heaven from Jerusalem may be by super rocket via Mecca.
33. Israel is being forced to commit suicide like Czechoslavakia
JMK ,   NYC   (07.06.10)
34. GIVE AND TAKE
Ben S ,   USA   (07.06.10)
Israel has given, but what has it received? The only thing it receives are rocks, molotov cocktails and bullets from the West Bank, and missiles from Gaza. It also now has Hezbalah on it's northern border. NO MORE GIVING WITHOUT RECEIVING.
35. Israel for the Jews; Jordan for the Palestinians
Yehudi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.06.10)
The Land of Israel is the eternal property of the Jewish People. The Land belongs to the Jews and the Jews belong to the Land. The Palestinians can live in Jordan or one of the other Arab lands. God makes the rules not Obama.
36. easy response
dan   (07.06.10)
bibi: "we will recognize a palestinian state as the state of the palestinian people and stop settlement of jews in the palestinian state when abbas recognizes israel as the state of the jewish people and publically affirms that no palestians will settle in the jewish state."
37. Palestinians already have a state
Brod ,   USA   (07.06.10)
The Palestinians already have a large state called Jordan where 70% of the population are Palestinians. Why usurp the Land of Israel for the Islamist-Jihadists? Israel should say NO to Obama and any other scoundrels playing god on Israel.
38. You can't force-feed people a state...
Joey Rose ,   Portland   (07.06.10)
if they don't want one, and mix that with Israel not really wanting to get out of the territories and what do you have? Something that won't be solved in Obama's time.
39. Obama to take credit for stopping Iran - WHY?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (07.06.10)
Iran has stalled for a full year the talks on sending their uranium out of country and now have more than doubled what they had last September. Some how Obama will try to show that he has done more than Bush to stop Iran - can't prove it by the kilo.
40. Mr. Hussein Obama Sir
Maurice C ,   N.Ireland   (07.06.10)
How can you of all people ask Israel to keep on giving and giving and giving, without any receiving from the opposite side. Yes, we want peace, like any normal democratic country. We know it is in our interest to make peace with our neighbours, BUT, Mr President Hussein Obama a country as powerful as you have. you haven't got what it takes to get the release of one young man in captivity God or Allah knows from where, which would make it slightly easier to put pressure on the Goverment of Israel. Also, stop the terrorist activities of Hamas, BUT sir you cannot, but you are asking Israel to do that for you. Good Luck Mr. Hussein Obama the first moslem leader of the biggest country in the West.
41. #13: No options...
history major ,   Chicago, USA   (07.06.10)
That in a nutshell is the clash of cultures in the region. Secular Israelis believe in self determination. Muslim Fundamentalists believe in lack of choice. Giving back Sinai worked. Giving back Gaza just led to a hostile State sharing Israel's border. All indications point to a repeat of what happened in Gaza if Jerusalem is divided, because Israel would once again be dealing with Fundamentalists instead of Secularists. Fatah started out as terrorist but is seen as mainstream because of the cunning arrangement that has the global community comparing it to Hamas. If the US wants Israel to give any of its meager land to the Palestinians, then Obama should agree to impose sanctions against Hamas.
42. #5: Yes, but
rattled american ,   Miami, USA   (07.06.10)
I agree with almost everything you say. Obama was not raised as an American. His point of view does not reflect fairness or civil liberties, but control and a wish for steady-state politics. Americans embrace continuous improvement and change, not stagnation under oppressive regimes. But I disagree about Hillary. Yes, she is doing everything Obama asks. But I believe she feels that she must prove herself a team player if she can win a run for the Presidency in the future. Historically, she has not shown herself to be and antisemite, even when her husband was trying to change the balance of power in the Mideast. I'm not sure about her. Best not to write her off just yet.
43. Obama can eat a big fat....
David P. ,   Capitola, CA   (07.06.10)
one. He doesn't care about Israel security, at all.
44. Never
Brazen   (07.06.10)

45. Name one other country
(07.06.10)
Egypt & Jordan did recognise Israel right to exist even Arafat have recognise.EU,USA,UN,RUSSIA,are trying to tell Hamas to recognise Israel right to exist
46. The pressure is only ever on Israel.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (07.06.10)
Israel cannot make peace with a people that don't RECOGNISE ISRAEL! Obama - if he was a RESPONSIBLE man would be stepping up the pressure on abu mazen to renounce terrorism and violence, and the miseducation of palestinian children at the hands of the PA - with their heavy hate agenda of Israel and Jews in their text books where Israel doesn't exist. Thats what any responsible person would look at first - stop the systematic abuse of young children by the PA. Inciting generations of children with hate for Israelis and Israel is the OPPOSITE of people seeking real peace. As for mr obama ... i get chills from hearing his voice without looking at the pictures of this guy, something is really not right with this individual at all ....
47. If Gaza is independent
Yossef   (07.06.10)
We could try a confederation model with the palestinians. A prelude of a future United States of the Middle East? ארצות הברית של מזרח
48. Dear #17 Read about the Arab Peace Initiative

49. Just a short rejoinder #24 "Matty Groves":
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.06.10)
The "right to exist" phrase is probably an ill-stated one but, de facto, anytime two nations establish relationships, embassys and ambassadors, each recognizes and acknowledges the other's "existence". Such is the situation between Jordan and Egypt and Israel. By the same token, the two leading political parties which make up a future Palestinian state, Hamas and Fatah, each state rather unequivocably in their respective charters as a principle that they both seek the annihliation of the "Zionist State of Israel". With this said, it's difficult to establish a relationship with such an entity. On the Israeli side, there is no such official proclamation against establishing a Palestinian state and Israel has, in the past engaged in negociations towards that end. It would be to our advantage, in my estimation, to engage once again in such negociations regarding a future Palestinian state but let's keep in mind the charters of the two main Palestinian political parties. This remains a conundrum for Israel. Would anybody in their right minds negociate with another entity whose body is made up of major factions which want to obliterate it? I admire Salaam Fayyaad, incidentally, but he represents neither Hamas nor Fatah.
50. One-state solution
Michael ,   USA   (07.06.10)
I agree, two-state solution is impossible. The only solution is a one-state solution where Israel shall grant all Palestinians of Gaza and West Bank full citizenship and rights in the larger Israeli State. Instead of 20% of the population being Arab, 50% of the population will be Arab and we will all live as equals and brothers. Thats what you all want, right?
51. #50 That's what they call a "non-starter".
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (07.06.10)
52. One column from this leftist nutcase is too many. Why two?
Chaim   (07.06.10)
Please explain why Ynet chose to publish two columns from radical left nut case Azoulai. One column is too many. To call Azoulai pathetic is putting it mildly. His work smacks the the most loathesome sort of begging and appeasement. Take his statement about Bibi feeling on top of the world due to words of praise from Obama. How pathetic can one get? Israel proves in election after election that we resoundingly reject the deadly Two State Final Solution. Bibi's job is to take our decision to the world. If he lacks the courage to do so, he must be replaced by someone who has the courage.
53. israel
MELODY ,   usa   (07.06.10)
no two state,i agree with the last one, dont seperate jerusalem you are gods chosen people..............
54. #51 so what do you want Janice? Honestly?
Sam ,   ME   (07.06.10)
55. Dear # 48 The Arab Peace Initiative doesn't
Jehudah Ben-israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (07.06.10)
accept Israel's RIGHT to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people. Indeed, it proposes that the Arab countries will only accept Israel's FACT of existence, not its RIGHT to do so, only when Israel meets all the Arab diktats. Until then, the Arab states don't even accept Israel's existence, let alone its right to do so. By contrast of course Israel's existence is based on historic rights, ethical rights and legal rights, none of which the Arab Peace Initiative accepts. Go, read it again!
56. #24. Israel doesn't need P.A. to recognize our rights.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.06.10)
#24 Matty actually has a point but not the one he intended. For decades, Israeli officials have been talking about our enemies recognizing Israel's "right to exist". Why on earth does Israel need the recognition of Hamas, Fatah terrorists. Or Syrian or Jordanian recognition for that matter? We DO exist. Who cares whether they think we should or not? Nor should we give them anything whatsoever to bribe them to recognize our rights.
57. to 16 daniela
sajar ,   jerusalem   (07.06.10)
at least salma is existed and daniela is existed and sajar is existed all of us are here on this land let its name is kokowawa // but we are here to live
58. Abba Eban on the "Right to Exist"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (07.06.10)
“Nobody does Israel any service by proclaiming its 'right to exist.' Israel's right to exist, like that of the United States, Saudi Arabia and 152 other states, is axiomatic and unreserved. Israel's legitimacy is not suspended in midair awaiting acknowledgement. There is certainly no other state, big or small, young or old, that would consider mere recognition of its 'right to exist' a favor, or a negotiable concession.”
