Sam ,   ME   (07.06.10)
I don't know if it accepts the right or recognizes Israel (it is not mentioned) but does it make any difference ? Do you recognize the right of palestinians to have a state in British Mandate Palestine? Or are you willing to accept their existance because they are already living there?

Nic ,   uk   (07.06.10)
To establish a second Arab palestinian state would be to worsen the situation of those living within it. The palestinian authority can't even guarantee the safety of its citizens from internal conflict let alone guarantee the safety and security of those living nextdoor. Palestinian textbooks still deny the existence of any non muslim claim to the land of Israel and deem Jews and Christians as sub human, this mindset can be seen in action in Bethlehem where the Christian population has dropped from 80% to 20% since the PA took over control, to let that same organisation have control over more lives would be to codemn many more induviduals to an uncertain future and loss of all personal and civil liberties, and that's not even considering the possibility of a takeover by hamas.

Arab palestinians have a state in British Mandated Palestine, it is called Jordan (originally TransJordan meaning across the Jordan (River)), this Arab Palestinian state was created out of 75% of British Mandated Palestine and any Jews present therewqithin where expelled and all others forbidden to reside there. The remaining land was set aside for the Jewish Palestinian state, but the second half of that plan never reached fruition. This is what you get when you take a large land mass ruled for thousands of years by various empires filled with various nomadic peoples and tribes and impose the foreign concept of nationality onto it. In common parlance this sort of thing is known as "a bloody great mess".
66. Reply #11 Reuven there will be 2 states
AVI ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
and i will support the 2 state solution so get used to it as its going to happen. No need to remove the settlers just give them a Palestinian passport, then let them get a taste of their own medicine.

this article is so ridiculous that it is not worth commenting on.
70. Two states?
Matthias ,   Munich, Germany   (07.07.10)
why two states? Is not one state enough for tne palestinians? They own Jordan, why one more state?

72. Jordan is palestine
SM ,   UK   (07.07.10)
A quick glance at the map shows the monumental absurdity of an Israeli and palestinian state living side by side in such a tiny area and the absolute common sense of a palestinian state in Jordan.
73. “Palestinians” and peace.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (07.07.10)
The “Palestinian” leadership has rejected coexistence, in favor of armed struggle. They have consistently ensured the misery of Palestinian civilians, and the insecurity of Israelis, by aiming for Israel's destruction. How different could things have been, had the vast Arab world uplifted Arab refugees. Israel, with minimal resources, uplifted an equivalent number of Jewish refugees from Arab lands. 74. #48, does it show the bit

where the arabs suddenly go silent when Israel says lets talk about it? Because that is what happened in 2002 and 2007
75. Two states
John ,   London   (07.07.10)
So sorry for you , you see two states solution as two states for Palestinians ? Seriously ! Your days (and those who like you who have self interest in destabilizing world peace) are so over . Thanks . You are a thief ! And you will not get peace until you repent and if you think people will forget what was done to you. And what you are doing to people around you now . You are a very deluded one as most of your people. You die a tragic ! That you brought to that region . Now peace!
76. #13 - end your terrorism now now, not tomorrow
William ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
You'll be amazed at how fast your desires will be met if your "people" threw out all terrorist groups and chose co-existence as a platform, like in the late 1990s despite Hamas' repeated massacres of civilians to disrupt it. But then again, your "people" did give up a great economy, free movement, lots of opportunities and world recognition just because Arafat thought he had the chance to destroy Israel. I'm not holding my breath for "Palestinians" to do the right thing here. They already chose the wrong option for 90 years.
77. #71So Jews don't want peace then
Sam ,   ME   (07.07.10)
You want to kick the palestinains out which is exactly what Hamas suggests!! so the only alternatives palestinians have to be kicked out of the land they live on and become refugees in Jordan or fight to the death?!? Not much of a choice. But I guess common sense and empathy with you fellow humans are not your strongest areas are they Janice?
78. Israel's Land
Dale ,   Sylvania USA   (07.07.10)
Read the Bible, worship the Holy One of Israel and you will see that it is not Obama's decision to make. The land was given by God and belongs to Israel. The more fighting goes on, the more the enemies of Israel try to interfere, the more evils will befall them.
79. #77 Common sense and empathy..
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (07.07.10)
are my strong points, and peace I want as much as the next guy, with them in Jordan/Palestine. The rest is pseudo-intellectual babble.

81. #67 - still waiting for one from Arab side
William ,   Israel   (07.07.10)
Simply wearing a tie doesn't erase terrorist inclinations, just like wearing a dress or civilian clothes doesn't make a terrorist a civilian.
