Ummm, I didn't see anything in the article to justify the screeching headline. So some unnamed "US source" said that "We recognize that Jerusalem is a deeply important issue to Israelis and Palestinians, to Jews, Muslims, and Christians everywhere." Is that a "slam"????

Jerusalem was never really important to Christians or Muslims. The city lay waste for centuries and no one except for the Jews really cared about it. Jews always cared about Jerusalem. It is, and always will be, the Holy City of the Jews. Jerusalem was only rebuilt when the Jews were able to return to their beloved city. Lets get real and stop all the political rubbish. It is time to acknowledge that it is the Jews who have loved and rebuilt Jerusalem. The city belongs to the Jews and they should ignore the protests of American politicians.

What kind of person talks about a plan that "realizes the aspirations of all parties for Jerusalem" when it is well known that the aspirations are mutually exclusive? Israel wants its historic capital whole and undivided, with the third Temple built back on top of the Temple Mount. Palestinians / Arabs / Muslims want Israel to stop existing and to push the Jews off the land. Dividing Jerusalem is only a declared first step.
