61. How about the truth here
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.09.10)
'Right of Return' doesn't exist nor is it legal, nor is it a matter for anybody besides us. These people are not nor have they EVER been a citizen of the State of Israel period. So they are not returning, because not a single one is a citizen. Since they aren't citizens they have exactly zero rights period. Especially the right to come into our country. That would mean they would be immigrants and we decide who can and who cannot immigrate to our country and how that process works. Nobody else, not the US, EU, UN, ICJ or any other group has any say in the matter. Those are the facts.
62. Rights of return are different,
Donatus ,   Strasbourg, France   (09.09.10)
definiitvely they are different. Whereas the jewish Right of Return is based on religeous law, the Right of Return of Palestinians is fundamentaly based on International and generally admitted law. Let it be said in my words: Religious myth stand against uneqivoqual Human Righs and International Law. It's up to Israel to join genrally admitted legal principles. Palestinians no not ask anything else
63. To: No. 62
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.09.10)
Actually, indidvidual states have an absolute right to enact laws and set policies with respect to immigration. The Arabs who left were voluntary quits. They have no right of return; nor are there any international laws which supersede those of a sovereign nation with respect to purely an internal issue. Technically speaking, since Algeria was once a department of France, all Algerians have -- according to you -- a "right " to French citizenship, and a right of return to France. That would be about 35 million people descending on France -- but that's quite alright, correct? It would comport with your statements about unequivocal human rights and international law, wouldn't it? Idiot.
64. Annexation of Yesha is the only answer
BH ,   Iowa   (09.09.10)
Issue green cards to arab workers who wish to remain.
65. The only rights of returned to be entertained are
Harry Wright ,   UK   (09.09.10)
(a) The right of any and all Jews to return to Israel, their historical homeland from which they were chased by the Arabs. (b) the right of the occupying Arabs to return to their Arab homelands and end the squatting on and occupation of Jewish land. That is the only just right of return.
66. religious segregation
Melvin Hoffman ,   Ottawa, Ill, USA   (09.15.10)
The problem in the Middle East is a simple one and there is a simple solution. Political entities, i.e. "nations" or other political subdivisions, should not be defined or controlled by religion or religious entities. Such identity obviously breeds dissension and violence. Whether Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, Hindu, Jewish, agnostic or atheistic, the principles and rule of law of every nation should protect the right of worship AND create a firewall between religion and the administration of the state. Saudi Arabia, Israel, or any other nation should adhere to this principle. It should be ensconced in the nation's Constitution as a right of all citizens without any possibility of negation by amendment. Israeli citizens should be capable of relocating to any other nation without discrimination. Palestinians should be capable of relocating also. It is principles consistently applied which create peace and prosperity, NOT religious identity fused with government.
