Israel as a Jewish state does not mean a state of religion, it only means that it is the state of the Jewish nation. Just like Saudi Arabia is the state of Arabs, Germany the state of Germans. The laws of the state must be secular. However it should be recognizes as the state of the Jewish people.

No matter what they call themselves, the Arab states ARE Muslim states. Not all Muslim states are radical Islamic states like Iran but that does not change the fact that Muslims are in the majority in the Arab world and that other religions are considered outsiders or second class. So at the end of the day, that IS the main concession the Palestinians will have to make. Frankly, it's not much, since the right never existed in the first place. So, in a sense, the Palestinians invented an issue called the "right of return", now they get to trade away something that never existed for something that will, LAND for a country. All in all, not a bad deal for the Palestinians.
