Rami ,   New York, US   (09.14.10)
As usual Mr. Dann shows up with a pro Zionist = pro apartheid agenda. The falsifying of history to justify the day to day genocide against Palestinians and abolishing any hope for a peaceful solution is very common in his writings. I just hope is no paid that much for his jargon
62. Jerusalem in the heart of Islam
Rami ,   New York, US   (09.14.10)
I respectfully disagree with you, Jerusalem was mentioned many times in the Quran and it was the location of several major events in the islamic history, do some research before publishing false claims about a religion you do not know of.

65. #emc - they have full rights. There are ARAB members in the
rebecca ,   Modiin   (09.14.10)
Kenest. They even have the right NOT to serve in the army. The apartheid policy is in what the Abbas wants, a JEW Free Palestine. After a good factual article is this all you can come up with?
66. #24 several answers
rebecca ,   Modiin   (09.14.10)
While we may not have been a Political entity before 1948 (forgetting about the Babylonian, Roman and Greek conquests of this land from the Jews) we were certainly enough of a political force to frighten quiet a few nations. We were around and we were an entity. As for world support in 48, the world sat back and let us be overrun by the arab states. Support? More like shock and horror that we survived. We did not have "military power" in 48. In fact we have seldom had superior "military power" in any of our major wars. But we've survived, and even prospered for thousands of years, outlasting many strong nations. And we will outlast this too, with G-d help. (only our G-d appears to have the staying power)

68. uncyclopedia doesnt have an article for paelstinians
oferdesade ,   israel   (09.14.10)
i guess they still do not really exist. if wiki's uncyclopedia doesnt have them (and it has everything - believe me, i've checked) either someone is constantly deleting them or the entire bunch of former turkish imports are a figment of someone's sickly imagination. fact is if you type in palestinians or palestine for that matter, you immediately get redirected to israel...
69. to 48;good point but...
smith   (09.14.10)
The Jewish people never told that Arab do not belong to the land of Palestine. It is the Arabs who told the Jews do not belong to the land of Palestine. They started war against Jewish people and nobody can deny this fact. And they started this long time before 1948. Another fact and nobody can deny it.

Yawning through your rantopalooza, I can't help stifling a chuckle. You have about summed up the lame old claptrap of the radical mau mau leftoisie. Boring! Get thee to a reputable library and stay there for a while if you can stay awake. While there, read many books and then go buy some bras to make up for the ones you burned in the 60's.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.14.10)
The ones on the West Bank are Jordanian citizens. They can be repatriated to the country of their citizenship and whose passports they hold. That is what will happen in any event once Israel annexes Judea and Samaria, and they will assuredly do. The Arabs in Israel, as long as they behave and do not constitute a Fifth Column, can stay. Most, especially the Christian Arabs and the Druze, are good citizens who are loyal to Israel. The exceptions can be stripped of citizenship and deported. Israel would not be doing anything that innumerable countries throughout the world have been doing for millennia. You need look no further (or no further back) than the massive population shifts that occurred following the First World War and the Second World War. Abbas can chuckle as much as he wants. He doesn't have a single bargaining chip. For that matter, neither does Hillary. Matters of Israeli security are dealt with exclusively in Jerusalem. Not Ramallah. And most CERTAINLY not Washington D.C., ESPECIALLY in the current administration. But don't worry your pretty little head, Mark. Abbas, being a "Palestinian" Arab, is genetically predisposed towards extraordinary stupidity and violence.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.14.10)
Correct. But -- and I'll try and break this to yo gently -- the "Palestinians" referred to long, long ago were Jewish. Arabs were just always referred to as Arabs, until they rather grandly decided to apply the term "Palestinian" to themselves. Long, long ago in 1964. Duh.
73. "palestinians"
avi ,   nyc   (09.14.10)
If the Mandate of Palestine went as far north as the Litani river, those Lebanese arabs would also be "palestinians".
74. I will not be a herd animal !!!
Boris ,   Rehovot, Israel   (09.14.10)
"There were no such thing as Palestinians" - Golda Meir, Sunday Times, 1969-06-15. Do we still live in the medieval? That lady made us a puzzle to solve, a puzzle for 41 years already! Its time to get sober. Not every politician is a leader, surely not a bright one. Many times they try to convince people that problems do not exist. And then, its up to us to clean up their mess.

I always thought their flag was the Jordanian flag...
76. WOW, What an eye opener.
Ray ,   US   (09.14.10)
Someone quick get world leaders on the phone and explain the situation, starting with the Americans, EU and Russians. Someone also call the Israeli PM and have him cancel direct negotiations in light of this new evidence that Palestine or the Palestinian people don’t even exist. Who the hell would have figured that West Bank and Gaza is empty of any Palestinians. Last and probably the most important , someone please send a letter to the 4 million “Arabs” of the West Bank and Gaza explaining they should not be there since there are no “Palestinian people”, only Palestinian Jews that became Israelis, Palestinian Arabs did not exist. Don’t forget the P.S. at the end of the letter: “Please pack your bags and leave quietly, the home your grandfather build wasn’t for you-but for a Jew”
77. Pitiful article, very pitiful
Olmert   (09.14.10)
To deny the existence of a people. Well, it's not going to work. Even Theodore Herzl called the land Palestine. And by your logic, there were no "Israeli" people until 1948, so that means they were just created for the land grab.
78. #62 Rami. Jerusalem not mentioned one single time in Qoran
Jae ,   Lynn US   (09.14.10)
not once. Me thinks it is you who needs to look at your books.
79. First there was Arab Racism, now Islamic Fascism is added .
result: war, Jihad   (09.14.10)
80. #62 - it was never mentioned by name
William ,   Israel   (09.14.10)
I respectfully disagree with you. I hope your argument is based on ignorance and not a ulterior evil motive of claiming someone's else's holy location and history. Jerusalem was never mentioned by name in the Quran. This remains a point of contention today among some islamic scholars who insist the "far away mosque" was actually in Medina and not Jerusalem as believed. There is no mentioned of direction, time it takes to get their, or previous events to guide any reader to believe it is Jerusalem over another city. However, even if it was Jerusalem...don't you know it's the heart of Judaism and the ONLY city that is its center? If Jerusalem is holy to Muslims: a) why is so much attention given to Mecca and Medina, making Jerusalem #3 on the list, and 2) why keep the city in such disrepair for centuries, when its revival came only under the acts and investment of Jews and British?
81. #61 - day to day genocide? who's falsifying history?
William ,   Israel   (09.14.10)
Go to Darfur if you want to see a genocide. In Iraq, more people died in one year of sectarian violence than "Palestinians" did since 1967 war. If genocide = a population growth, better healthcare, and providing all utilities and some employment, then Israel's doing a good job at it. But we both know the true definition of genocide, and it ain't that. Genocide is what the Arabs attempted in 1948 and failed, and what Hamas swears they are determined to do. While I support a 2-State solution because there is really no other choice for so many people who shared such a tumultuous 6 decades together, building on a myth of a "people" who came for all over the region and got stuck here, is not a basis for honest solutions. Claims like your's that Jerusalem is so holy to Islam only leads to build on comments that try to prove it isn't to Jews, or that "Palestinians" have been around for 4000 years. It's a lie, it sets a foundation of more lies, and eventually idiots like you that spread the lie and make real peace all the harder.
82. #50 - Historical Palestine mentioned by Herodotus
William ,   Israel   (09.14.10)
was an area in Syria, not the land that Arabs today say was "historical Palestine". It was the Byzantines who used the name to include Samaria and the Galilee but it wasn't the correct area. So today's "Palestinians" are refugees. They're in Ramallah when they should be in central Syria.
83. Sure a lot of ignorant racists making comments
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (09.14.10)
Especially about things that they have no clue about. Moshe Dann wrote the truth and nothing but the truth. Try challenging the facts you idiots.
84. To David No.55
Raf ,   athens   (09.14.10)
David, no matter how many exclamation marks you insert, it won't change the fact that the Palestinians exist and that Israel finally recognizes them and that people like you will have to be dragged into a viable future for both people.
85. #11 - Hint- Palestinian National Congress 1919
A Bethlehemite ,   Earth   (09.14.10)
1919 First Palestinian National Congress meeting in Jerusalem sends two memoranda to Versailles rejecting Balfour Declaration and demanding independence. it is even listed on the website jewishvirtuallibrary.org. PS. The head of the PNC in 1919 was also the mayor of J'lem. What really matters, is that the Palestinians need to have either equal rights or self autonomy. I dont care what you want to call us. But Israel controlling the Palestinians lives, population registry and their freed has to end. And there are only 2 solutions; 1 State for all or 2 states.
86. #1 very wrong
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (09.14.10)
You are wrong. Prior to the British occupation of 1920, the population of Israel was small and included the indigenous Jews, Druze, Bedouins, Samaritans and local Christians as well as non-indigenous European Christians, Turks and Muslim Arabs. In violation of the mandate, the British limited Jewish immigration while encouraging massive illegal immigration of Muslim Arabs colonists from the surrounding Arab regions. These British-supported colonists are the "Palestinians" of today. Peace could be made in minutes if every Arab who moved to Israel from 1920 onwards was repatriated.
87. Rami number 62

It is forbidden to distort the words of the Koran. Where is that city mentioned? If you can't find it, you must immediately apologize.
88. To No. 87
raf ,   athens   (09.14.10)
WHO CARES! The Palestinians (or whatever you want to call them) are there. Live with it! Koran, shmoran. Bible shmible. Torah borah.
89. To Rami #62
Baruch ,   Bet Shemesh, Israel   (09.14.10)
I hope for your sake you're not Muslim b/c that would be embarassing. Not once is the name Jerusalem mentioned in the Qu'ran. Not once. The "farthest mosque" is mentioned and that is highly debated by MAN (Imams) as to what that refers to. There is no geographical reference stated in the Qu'ran either. As for history, I highly suggest you take a look at #86's post.
90. To Raf Excellent argument! You are right because you say so!
