Why is Sharon's family allowing this "living" death to continue? Kindness dictates that Sharon be allowed to die peacefully.

The Israeli Kahan Commission found Ariel Sharon "indirectly responsible" for the 1982 mass murder of Palestinian men, women and children, which were carried out by Israel's Phalangist allies - who had been trained and funded by Israel. Israeli troops lit the camps so the massacre could be carried out and they stop Palestinians from exiting the camp. The Israeli high command had a panoramic view of the two camps for 3 days and were well aware of what was happening there. So tell me, where was the care for the sick and inured, where was the regard for the '[other' and the empathy you demand of Salma and the Palestinians. The Butcher of Sabra and Shatila had none, so is it any wonder Salm has little for him.

I served in the IDF during the 1982 war in Lebanon and saw first hand the fruits of Sharon's, and Israel's, hate towards humanity. I fully agree with Salma. I also do not have empathy towards monsters like Sharon. As to Frank's comment (#2): Does he think that all war criminals deserve empathy? Also Nazi war criminals? Or is his empathy reserved only for Jewish war criminals?

While I am very sad for the family having to go through this, I'm wondering if anyone has given a thought to what Ariel Sharon would want? What would Arial Sharon chose to do if he could make his own decision? Would he want to be kept alive by artificial means year after year laying in a hospital bed? Is it perhaps selfish of the family to keep him alive in this state? Is this state only benefiting the family because they can not bear the loss? Mr. Sharon is already gone. Wouldn't it be better to let him go and rest in peace? There may be things that God has planned for him to do that are being hindered by this artificial life support. It's time to let him go. We know now that he will never wake up and we also know that death is not the end of human existence. Ask yourself family, if you were brain dead, would you want to be kept alive by artificial means?
