Just thank you!!!!!!!!!
92. #85 Once again...
Solomon ,   Bklyn   (09.23.10)
Only UNHRC members, and others who hate Israel vitriolically, give UNHRC any credence. UNHRC is like Disneyland, or the 'comic relief' in Shakespeare's plays (such as the drunk in Macbeth). The same, as well as your apt title "Once again...", can be said for your posts.
93. The report is way off base
Anonymous   (09.23.10)
I read the report and legally it is way off base. The report bases itself upon the conclusion that the blockade is illegal - which is incorrect. The blockade is legal and Israel had every right to sink the ship; moreover, the report contradicts itself and leaves out important facts of law - namely, if the intent had been to harm the civilian population, the goods would not be let in after inspection - which is not the case. Indeed, the goods were subsequently rejected after inspection; so, if there were such a humanitarian crisis, why were the goods rejected? Also, Israel on its own supplies 10,000 lbs. of goods a day. So, the intent element by the Human Watch organizations is completely refuted.

gabi lawrence ,   Braintree England   (09.23.10)
Where do you get your informatgion from. Most possibly from the Israel left and you are obviously blind to the pictures of the wounded soldiers and the report which were to see in every paper.

97. #85, actually it will make zero difference
Danny   (09.23.10)
Those who like you simply refuse to accept damning video evidence will use this report to claim you were right and everyone else will believe the facts.
98. #49 world leaders today ah?
Omri ,   Israel   (09.23.10)
Supporting Israel from USA, India, Germany, Duchland, Russia and many others. All you anti-Israel fools seem to think the world is against Israel because you heard BBC show Israel badly. Well think again and maybe even look into Wikipedia.
99. Matty Groves
Emma ,   UK   (09.23.10)
When will talk-backers learn not to respond to this person. He is an avid, active pro-Palestinian who infiltrates pro-Israel sites to put his anti-Israel views across. It is only because Israel is a democracy that he is allowed to spread his nasty anti-Israel propaganda. Please do not waste your time and effort trying to argue with him, you are just giving him an opportunity to spread his insidiious distortions.
100. NEW ISRAELI TACTICS CALLED FOR
LAWRENCE RAP ARTISTE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (09.23.10)
Israel has a new weapon which is less 'BRUTAL " and less "VIOLENT." It is called the Marshmallow bomb and comes in two types : fluffy pink and white .

Sceptique ,   France   (09.23.10)
those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
102. Rude?
Sceptique ,   France   (09.23.10)
I'm sure you're happy to be rude, anyway. Your parents, grandparents, etc. knew how to be rude with Jews, at least. Compared to them, you are an amateur.
103. Seriously?
Sceptique ,   France   (09.23.10)
What political clown would take any report from UNHRC seriously? See and listen Hillel Neuer's banned speech on YouTube.

to some extent you are right... but there are issues he raises (not necesarly correct) that reinforces the illusion of the propaganda that is being projected....and that must not go unchalenged....
107. The finding from the HRC, was expected
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.23.10)
Look it is nothing to worry about, other experts in International Law have already found: 1) that the blockade itself was legal and conformed to all International Laws and standards. 2) that the enforcement of the blockade in International waters, again was completely legal. Now that left only one area that was open to interpretation, that was, did Israel use "disproportionate force" on the Mavi Marmara, the 6th ship. So I knew, as did Israel, that whenever an incident can be subjective, the UN will usually find against Israel. But remember this is only the HRC, now according to Wikipedia: "The judgements, termed "views", are not legally binding." So typically, they can refer it to the UN Security Council, and the UN Security Council can refer it to the International Criminal Court (Of course the U.S. can veto that recommendation). So where we are now is the HRC has a "view" that is NOT legally binding, that Israel violated Article 147, of the 4th Geneva Convention. Period. While definitely a PR victory for the anti-Israel crowd, at this point it means little else. As I stated in an earlier post, this was the expected finding from the HRC, since they blamed Israel in June 2010. Shortly after the incident occurred. I did find this sentence rather humorous and telling of the HRC: " the panel concluded that a humanitarian crisis existed in Gaza on the day of the incident in Gaza and "for this reason alone the blockade is unlawful and cannot be sustained in law." Now we have all seen the pictures of Gaza, with the well stocked Food Courts, Malls, Upscale restaurants etc., many of those pictures were taken in late 2009, 6 months BEFORE the flotilla? So you have to wonder how the panel determined that on THAT DAY, there was a "humanitarian crisis". It doesn't pass the laugh test. The obvious bias is blatant, and frankly a little laughable.
108. Wow
Tyler ,   California   (09.24.10)
All you Israelis make me sick over this situation... and no, I'm not saying that because I'm anti-semitic like a lot of you are accusing the UN of being. NINE people died, thousands still die, and the one global group that is trying to get less people to die and create a peaceful situation is accused of being racially against you because they condemned your killing of PEACEFUL ACTIVISTS? Yes, some of them were armed with MAKESHIFT weapons, but the use of deadly force was not necessary whatsoever. Now I know none of you care what the international community thinks of your actions against these people that are different than yourselves, so just keep laying siege to Gaza. They're basically living in a third world area now, I bet you all are proud of yourselves.
109. Re:108
Galut ,   selah   (09.24.10)
Tyler ...put yourself in the shoes of the IDF soldiers coming down unto the deck of that ship meeting blows from bats and iron bars and being stabed with knives and tell me what you would do to defend yourself.... initialy the soldiers had paintball guns drawn hoping to have minimal opposition... so Tyler what would you do to defend yourself????
110. Tyler #108
Oniel ,   London   (09.24.10)
I agree with Galut. Tyler, take the idealistic blinkers off and please tell us what you would do in that situation. Bats, bars and 'makeshift' knives were raining blows on your head. You were being thrown off the boat into the middle of the ocean. WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
111. Re: 109 & 110
Tyler ,   California   (09.24.10)
I'd pack up, leave, re-assess the situation, and look for a different way to go about things that does not involve kill people. There could've been many alternatives. Israel already looks bad enough with their past (and current) actions, and this did nothing but raise opposition against your "cause" in Gaza. And what would you do if soldiers were storming your humanitarian boat that is set to help impoverished civilians? Soldiers that are trying to destroy everything you have set up. It's rather hard to think that someone in the shoes of those people on the ship would not get an urge to resist in whatever way they can, be it beating back the invaders with pipes to get them off their vessels or any of the other things you listed. And the killing... well, would that not make these people even more angry and violent? I see all these comments here trying to justify Israel's actions and not one of you feel bad for the folk that died, evidently. 9 deaths vs 0 deaths, another victory for great Israel.
112. Mavi Marmara photos of IDF soldiers
Kevin Neish ,   Victoria, Canada   (09.29.10)
Dear Ynet, The two photos which you have printed of the captured Israeli commandos were taken by me. Your captions state "Navy troops attacked by passengers" and "IDF soldier assaulted on Marmara". In fact I witnessed one of the soldiers (the one on the deck) being well protected by the aid workers from another passenger, and I witnessed both soldiers being safely escorted to a medical station on deck 2 where they were treated by doctors. There are other photos on the web, not taken by me, showing them being treated . I don't know where you are getting your facts from but perhaps you should ask someone other then the IDF as to what these photos show and what happened on the Mavi Marmara. Thanks for your time.
