Are you making stuff up again? The Stuxnet worm, which is so last months news, targeted “industrial control systems” not “weapons systems”, I would suggest that you learn the difference between the two.# BTW I would remind you that your claim that Israel was behind the Stuxnet worm are totally unproven, the only thing behind your claim is wishful thinking.
32. Only Way to free Palestine is via Hizballah
John ,   NY   (10.28.10)
no doubt that the only and only solution to free Palestine is via Hizballah, no peace without war..
33. I know it all, and more!
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (10.28.10)
Funny, Matty, but for the past few years everybody keeps saying that Hamas is the democratically elected government of the Pals, no? They aren't? You mean that Hamas in Gaza will take orders from Fatah in Ramallah? They same guys who were sent packing from Gaza? At least the ones who weren't among the hundreds murdered by Hamas, or the dozens with their legs shot off... (great video on that at time.com, btw). You actually believe these Hamas guys when they say in English they'll accept peace with Israel? Wow, you really do buy used cars at their sticker price...

36. How Many Years We Been Hearing This?
emanon ,   USA   (10.28.10)
The arabs can't get it together to decide who's in charge. Sort of a last man standing, no rules, kill or be killed contest within their own ranks over who represents them.
37. To all the Utopians Pals . . .
AlbertoGA ,   St. george, USA   (10.28.10)
Take a cold shower and relax. Your Pal State exist. Cros the border to Jordan ASAP Gaza will turn intodust soon. Stop dreaming.
38. :: Brian - #33
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (10.28.10)
Brian I explained it all to you before but I cannot recall if my post was published. Either way you need to understand the difference between the “PLO” and the “PA” so I suggest you read up on the matter. In short it doesn’t matter a fig who is the “democratically elected government of the Pals” the thing you need to understand is that the PLO, and only the PLO, is the "sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people". Do you understand? The PA is *not* engaged in peace talks with Israel the PLO is. Seriously Brian all your talk about ‘Hamas’ and ‘Fatah’ and the ‘PA’ is largely irrelevant as only the PLO is considered the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
39. And How Many Legions Do You Have?
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (10.28.10)
Abbas, the Pope was once asked, how many legions do you have? I ask you, how many F15s, F16s, Phantom 2000, Jerichos, Popeyes, artillery launchers, Merkavas, Abrams, Cobragunships, Apache Helicopeters, missile boats, missiles, and finally tactical nukes of 1megaton blast effect, do you have? How arfe you gong to enforce your takeover of 500,000 settlers? how are you going to push we Jews out? Tell me please, Im anxious to know? Will your buddies in Hamas, Hez and Iran help you, come to your rescue when we finally get MAD?

LOVE YOUR COMMENTS! There is no better way to start the day than to read your brilliant and well thought out talkbacks. It is so reassuring to be reminded of the limitations of the UN...the fact that they are not allowed to create a state. We need to be reminded as well that any unilateral declaration of a state outside the agreed upon negotiating process undermines the basis of the Oslo accords, thereby questioning the very legality of the PA and their institutions. I have learned that Resolution 242, DOES NOT refer to 1967 borders, as there are no such borders, just armistice and cease-fire lines. Therefore, we have justice and laws on our side. AM YISRAEL CHAI!!!
41. 2 nations, not 2 nations one people(just Arabs)
J ,   Earth   (10.29.10)
If you agree to 2 states. One Israel and one palestine, what's the issue with right of return! If you want Palestine you must accept an Israel that decides to tell Arabs they must live in half the land. not in Palestine and israel so that the Palestinians have two states. NOBODY IS THAT STUPID! Peace out
42. Will be disaster for bothsides but really only option for PA
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (10.29.10)
The current Israel Gov has rejected both Roadmap and modified Saudi Plan, so talks are a waste of time while building continue. The PA has yet to make peace with Hamas so going to UN before that is very dangerous for PA but Abbas only has 2 options now since US/UN backed down, resign or declare a state. The US either must act quickly to restart talks or watch the ME burn in war, which will weaken the West's economy and boost China/India influence in ME.
43. UN Official Backs Palestinian Plan...
Norway   (10.29.10)
for Statehood: The UN Security Council could support the Palestinian's unilateral bid for statehood if Israel does not renew its freeze on new settlement construction, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Robert Serry warned Israel on Tuesday. But he qualified his remarks by noting that he was an official of the UN and not a member of the Security Council, which would make such a decision. (Jerusalem Post). The Council is composed of five permanent members — China, France, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom and the United States — and ten non-permament members (elected by the General Assembly for two-year terms). So, threatening the UN Security Council's permanent members with terror attacks will pay.

46. UN should kick them out
Brod ,   USA   (10.29.10)
Israel needs to deport Abbas and all the fanatics that are controlling him. So long as the scoundrels are given a free ride to fool and manipulate the world and the UN in crusading their Jihadism on Israel, there will be no end to the conflict in the region. It is time the UN kicks them out and tells them to shut up. They are Islamist-Jihadist terrorists since the very beginning of their existence. They danced and celebrated on the streets of Ramallah when they saw their fellow Saudi Islamist-Jihadist terrorists attacked America, destroyed the Twin Towers, destroyed part of the Pentagon Building, destroyed 3 American Jet Liners full of passengers, and murdered more than 3000 Americans in cold blood on 9/11. They murdered the American Ambassador to Sudan in the 1970s. They murdered thousands of Israeli children and civilians in the 1990s with their Satan-possessed suicide bombers. They murdered entire Christian villagers in Lebanon in the 1970s (Read "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel). These dark forces are not nation builders. They are thugs and terrorists. The UN should not even be dipping their hands with terrorists and murderers.
47. Unilateral State
Mark ,   USA   (10.29.10)
There will not be any unilateral Palestinian State declared. They tried that one in 1988. The United States' political landscape will be dramatically more pro-Israel after the elections. Obama won't be able to fart without Republican support, which is decidedly more pro-Israel than the Demoncratic Party. For those talkbacks who advocate violence, remember this. If Israel is pushed to the wall, she will defend herself to the utmost. If Jews has learned anything, it is "Never Again". Don't push us!
48. #45 Robert. Israelis are winners. Not whiners.
Chaim ,   Israel   (10.29.10)
#46 Robert. It is you whose views are moronic. Not Sarah. Read your Mideast history, Robert. You will quickly discover Israelis are winners. Examples include 1948, 1956, 1967, Entebbe, 1973, and on and on...Israelis are definitely not whiners. All the whining is done by "Palestinian" poseurs and their cretinous leftist supporters.
49. To Chaim: Daisy Cutters Over Gaza
Dav Lev ,   Burbank.CAUSA   (10.29.10)
To Chaim: You once responded to my post about the detriments of a statemate.. You said, better a statemate than missiles aimed at Israel from the W. Bk. I disagreed. Now I agree, most especially watching events unfold ( Abbas/Fayyad). They want to push Israel. w/o a shot, using the UN and leftists..to the 67 borders, reversing history for 62 yrs. Abbas has chutspah I admit, but is smelling blood. In my last post I compared Israel to Palestine..I now propose Israel attack the weakest link, the Gaza Strip, an invasion after sustained bombing by 200 f16s, and 200 Phantom 2,000. 20,000 artillery shells, including buster busters and daisy cutters. Secure the beaches from Iran/flotillas. Abbas wants it both ways..sorry guy, You lose. Hez joins in..2 nukes south of the Litani and they are but a memory and a sheet of glass.
50. The Israeli Response
Tom W. ,   Windsor, Canada   (10.29.10)
I say let the U.N. have a vote, finally this will allow Israel the legal right to finally attack and hold territory! A vote of this kind is not about trying to give a bunch of Arabs another state, it’s about the next step towards the destruction the Jewish state! Israel should immediately and permanently pull out of the U.N.; it should also push all Arabs back to Egypt and Jordan. Finally, Israel should seriously consider destroying all oil wells in the Arabian Peninsula! I for one am willing to pay higher fuel prices if that gets rid of not only the Saudis wealth but also brings down all the other corrupt single tribe run states in the Arabian Peninsula. Would any of you out there be willing to pay a higher price of oil, if that would put an end to the primary source of funding for Islamic extremists causes (both financing global mosque building and global Jihad)?
51. Uh...where would that state be? In LIMBOLAND?
iObserver and News ,   USA-Israel   (10.29.10)
LOL! Declare all they want, there aren't any borders, no UN athority to 'create' a state, even with a majority of UN nations 'recognizing' a palestinian state would mean nothing but the support of three terrorist groups: hamas, hezbollah and fatah. Its an absurd thought and would only lead to Israel annexing Judea and Sumaria and letting gaza rot until hamas fell completely. The palestinians are finished: their manipulation of the worlds populace has peaked and is now on the wane. Go ahead abbas; make our day; declare your 'state'...it will be mighty, mighty tiny!

54. can Hamas come to these talks
Fred ,   Narnia   (10.29.10)
as there's no preconditions ? I'm sure Israel's claim to 78% of Palestine can be one of the issues to be negotiated. After all, as Bibi says, the UNs vote to establish Palestine is worth nothing .... a state has to be established by negotiations ...

Well, in late May 1967, the Egyptians ordered the U.N. peacekeeping troops out of Sinai. They ran like stripe-assed babboons. So much for "untoward consequences," U.N. style. But you tell me -- what "untoward circumstances" are you suggesting? Against -- I might add -- a nuclear power? Tell me. I'm really, really, REALLY anxious to hear your ignorant take on things .....
58. #57 - since neither of us is privy to the

details of any country/InternationalOrganization's response to acts of ethnic-cleansing/genocide or the use of nuclear weapons to deter UN operations, it would all be pointless speculation. In the meantime, keep your eye on the situation in the region between Afghanistan and it's Muslim neighbor, nuclear armed Pakistan to see how a regional self-perceived nuclear superpower responds to international intervention within it's sovereign borders.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (10.29.10)
Oh, indeed. Stuxnet is a gift that keeps on giving .... and giving .... and giving .... The other night on one of the cable news channels, they were discussing Stuxnet and the potential ramifications of cyber warfare, and one of the computer experts was asked "Who can we bring in to stop it?" and he answered something along the lines of "Well, the best people in the world in terms of cyber technology are the Israelis, but I wouldn't bother asking them to help anyone stop Stuxnet -- they invented it, and the rest of the world, including the United States, is light years behind." (Every morning when I wake up, I thank G-d for making me born a Jew. There are days, however, when I am truly, truly, TRULY grateful. That was one of those days!)
