1. Why did they stop looking at Israel?
Omri ,   Israel   (11.01.10)
Usually we make a good fog cover for others.
2. Unlike "Palestinians" aka Arabs; Kurds have a REAL history,
jae ,   lynn usa   (11.01.10)
a distinct history, a distinct language and culture, not made up in 1964 to be anti semitic and a tool for the 22 arab nations...
3. Turkey Hypocritica
Erudite ,   Australia   (11.01.10)
Next time you want to lecture Israel on human rights just remember this. GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE
4. Erdogan's unbelievable hypocrisy exposed
Tahl ,   Ashdod   (11.01.10)
Erdogan, IHH and the rest of the Israel-haters in Turkey have lost their right to criticize Israel, as Turkey is exposed to be world-class violator of human rights and international laws. Before opening its mouth on Israel, Turkey must first clean up its own diirty act. The bombing in Istanbul yesterday, incidentally, is quite an understandable development in light of Turkey's severe oppression of the Kurds. Or to use the Muslim terminology - this was not terror, this was "resistance". I bet though, that the BBC, the Guardian, and the rest of the biased, hypocrite and Israel-bashing world media wouldn't even give this story one-percent the attention they gave to the flotilla incident. It would be quickly forgotten, just like the recent Wikileaks story. After all it's only news if Israel can be painted to be the bad guy.
5. Turkey violating Kurds' rights
DIS ,   ISRAEL/USA   (11.01.10)
TURKEY WANTS TOBE PART OF THE EU, BUT IT ALL WANTS TO TREAT ITS KURDISH PEOPLE AS SECOND CLASS CITIZENS. TURKEY IS LIKE AN OTHER MUSLIM STATE, NO RESPECT, NO RIGHTS, NO FREE SPEECH. NOW WE CAN SEE WHY TURKEY SEE ITSELF AS FRIENDS TO IRAN.
6. HRW
Andrew Brehm   (11.01.10)
And that just after George Soros gave the money? Respect! I would have expected them to work to cover up Turkey's crime by accusing Israel of something and have it discussed in the UN until Turkey's latest attack against the Kurds is over.
7. HRW just discovered what we have known for a very long time.
Bella Mack ,   London UK   (11.01.10)
The Turks are a cruel and backward people, they have no regard for humans, they treat the Kurds in a dispicable manner. The Turks need to free the Kurds from the Turkish yoke.Turkey needs to be boycotted by the rest of the free world.
8. It reminds of the u.s.s.r. and not a democracy
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.01.10)
They should throw the turkeys out of n.a.t.o. I wonder if they taught the iranians or the iranians taught them how to crush democratic movements and how to treat minorities?
9. Re #8
Andrew Brehm   (11.01.10)
The PKK are not a "democratic movement" and Turkey is fighting terrorists. Until a few years ago the PKK was supported by Syria and it is only now that because of Turkey's new alliance with Iran and Syria the PKK has started fighting for the rights of all Kurds. The PKK has also changed its strategy and won't attack civilians any more. The terrorists are becoming legitimate guerillas. It's definitely high time for Israel (and the west) to support the PKK against Turkey now that Turkey has decided not to be an ally any more. But whatever the PKK stands for now, it was NOT a democratic movement in the past.
10. Where is the biased Hypocratic world now ?

I wonder how long it will take for Mairead Maguire to join a humanitarian aid convoy to the Kurds.
17. Only one way for Turkey to fix this
William ,   Israel   (11.01.10)
Turkey must give autonomy to the Kurds through the Land for Peace equation. Once Turkey gives the Kurds back their native land, the Kurds will end all aggressions, there will be peace in the region, and the world will accept Turkey. Until then, Turkey is feeling increased global pressure against its Apartheid policies. Turkey will fall unless they address this historical crime.
18. TAYFUN , kARAGOZOGLU, SALMA etc

Noel ,   Cork, Ireland   (11.01.10)
think of it - shorter distance to travel, allowing far more aid being made available to the Kurds who are genuinely in need of it. Come of Fintan Lane and Mairead Maguire ...or do you fear the wrath of the Turkish authorities should you dare challenge their treatment of the Kurds!

22. to 15 and 19: Kurdistan does not have a coast!
nethanel ,   gush etzion   (11.01.10)
Therefore we can't send a flotilla for help. However, we should support the Kurds, our natural ally in the Middle East. israel should open a Consulate in Ardebil, the autonomous Kurdish republic, the only place where Kurds live in dignidty and prosperty.

29. The Turks then.... and today.....any cahanges?
paul   (11.01.10)
Hypocrites yesterday, improved hypocrites today. Sending a flotilla and, when things go wrong, playing the " angels "; and accusing Israel of piracy on the high seas ( when they rightfully deserved the title -- hooks, knifes, bars, the tools of real pirates were in abundance). Now that the shoe is in the other foot, --- beating Kurds, women and children rotting in world infamous jails, Human Rights gross violations, what's next? Apologise to the Organisation, to the Kurds, to Israel ?.Yesterday, Erdogan looked, behaved, exuded the perfect gentleman. Today, rubbing elbows with ahmadinejad, nasrallah, assad, his face shows disdain / hatred toward Israel; the Diplomatic polish all but melted away. The " Dorian Grey" effect. And you want to join the EU?. Erdo. you are crazy.---- That's what happen when you join the wrong crowd.
