You want the Jews to return to their homeland andf the Arabs to return to Israel.Clever idea SIX MILLION PLUS so called Palestinians refugees to go back to Israel plus about 2 million Israeli Arabs who live in Israel which will be around 8-9 millions Arabs, and the majority will be Arabs, and as Israel is democratic country the next ELECTION the Arabs will win the election, and Israel will turn from JEWISH STATE TO AN ARAB STATE.After this the Jews in Arab countries will be forced to convert to ISLAM or to be killed. Mr.===== Jews are not STUPID. GET LOST WITH YOUR IDEA

Following Algerian independence in 1962, most of Algeria's 140,000 Jews, having been granted French citizenship in 1870, left with the other French nationals for France. in the aftermath of the 1956 British-French-Israeli war on Egypt, it confiscated property belonging to British, French citizens including Jews. did not order Egyptian Jews to go out of Egypt. the tide eventually turned for Egypt's Jews and foreign minorities --Greeks, Italians, Armenians... During the spread of nationalism which characterized the '50s they were no longer as welcome. The collision over Palestine and the subsequent creation of the State of Israel brought on the unfortunate 20th century contraction of Egypt's Jewish population. The Arab-Israeli War of 1948, the Lavon Affair followed by the 1956 Tripartite Aggression and later socialism, triggered the wholesale departure of Egypt's Jews. The coup de grace came during the June War of 1967. In 1950 after 2 years from Iraqi army war in Palestine, the government of Iraq issued a one year temporary law to revoke citizenship to prevent Jews from leaving illegally to Israel (enemy state), seduced or forced by Zionists' terror ops. in Iraqi Jewish community.
63. Who cared about Sephardis?
gbh ,   TO/Paris   (11.11.10)
Jews from the "caves" or "Arab Jews" were never included in any human consideration by most if not all Israeli governments. Their value was only in the "number", the possibilty to feed them to the army and extract as many $$ as possible from the US in particular. Furthermore, mostr of the Jews were not really "expelled" but enticed to leave their birth countries. The construction and the defense of a country for "all Jews" required such a policy. It is also a fact that most, if not all Sephardis have fared extrewmely well wherever they are in all fields. History is full of such examples, lets move on united towards the future. It is not the Arabs who are opposed to the integration of the so called Palestinians, it is the Arab leaders who need to waive that flag to protect their own sel interests.

observer   (11.11.10)
In Islam, there is no differences between Muslims with regards to to their ethnicities. That's why it is never mentioned in the quraan any word like Bnei Ishmael. So why would have YAHUD been called BNEI ISRAIL in quraan?

Between November 1956 and March 1957, roughly one third of those residing in the country before the war went into exile. An Egyptian Jewish immigrant who arrived in Israel in 1956 told a Jerusalem Post reporter that, "Egypt is our country; we have no other. Our fathers were here [in Egypt] as long as any Muslims." Deporting from Egypt tens of thousands Jews was more human than what other communities went through in other parts of the world

Arabi Ibn Arabi wrote QUOTE;You must leave Palestine because it is not your land. The answer to this idiot is YOUR QURAN IS OUR WITNESS.GO AND READ YOUR QURAN UNLESS YOU DO NOT BELIEVE IN YOUR QURAN. You are 100% RIGHT every one should go back to where he or she comes from. JEWS COMES FROM THE HOLY LAND PROMISED AND GIVEN BY OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN,AND YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE LAND OF THE ARABS WHICH IS CALLED ARAB PLUS IA= ARABIA. VERY SIMPLE.

Arabs living in the West Bank are Jordanian citizens. Jordan's Citizenship Law of 1954 extended Jordanian citizenship to them AND THEIR PROGENY irrevocably. As you point out, like Mr. Ayalon, the Arabs in the West Bank are no longer refugees. So they are citizens of Jordan, and should be repatriated to Jordan immediately, which would clear the way for Israel to annex the non-sovereign territory of Judea and Samaria. Thank you for pointing that out.

The majority of the Jews who were expelled from their homes came from Iraq, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Libya, with whom Israel has no "agreements." There has been no opportunity to address the issue. There are no "assets." Nearly all of the Jews left with little more than the clothes on their backs. Their property, business, bank accounts, et cetera were all illegally expropriated. You're more of a "legal beagle," dear. Forget the "eagle." You're also a moron, by the way. I invite you to cite those "declassified documents" to which you refer. A link would be nice, too (except since they do not exist anywhere except your imagination, so I imagine that would be somewhat difficult to provide). Put up or shut up.

at that time, no other Egyptian traveling from Egypt could take more than 20 pounds.
72. Jane @ 17, What do you mean "and neither can you"?

Palestinians can go back to all the Arab countries where Jews were expelled from. That would be true "fair is fair".
73. There is one more detail to add.
leo ,   usa   (11.11.10)
All Jewish refugees from Arab lands must be assisted by UN and all other help organizations to the same level and for as long as Palestinians are assisted. BTW, let's not forget all these decades of back pay and with interest too.

Trust you to alight upon absolutely the most insignificant fact. 100 pounds sterling per capita was a minuscule fraction of their assets. To be perfectly honest, there weren't too many non-Jewish Egyptians that could scramble together more than 20 pounds. The ones that could were exempt from the restriction. Interestingly -- though not surprisingly -- you have not addressed any of the harsh restrictions imposed solely on Jews, nor have you discussed the brutal persecution to which Jews in Egypt were subject, particularly once Nasser (may his name be cursed throughout eternity) came into power, which became even worse following Israel's stunning victory in the Six-Day War. (Nothing like a little vengeance exacted against completely innocent individuals, eh, Observer?) You ignore the fact that the Jews of Israel were forced from their homes, subject to arrest and torture and had much of their property and businesses confiscated. Why have you chosen not to regale us with your observations on these horrific incidents of persecution? Do you still stand by your absurd comment at post no. 66 that the state-sanctioned persecution of the Jews in Egypt was "humane?" Surely not even you are THAT hypocritical.

Quite a few were hanged on ridiculous trumped-up charges of treason and espionage. Why have you chosen not to regale us with your “observations” on these horrific incidents of persecution? Do you still stand by your absurd comment at post no. 66 that the state-sanctioned persecution of the Jews in Egypt was "humane?" Surely not even you are THAT hypocritical. Whatever the “Palestinians” who voluntarily went into exile at the behest of their leadership may have had to endure at the hands of their Arab brethren (who have consistently refused to resettle them or alleviate their condition) pales in comparison to the persecution endured by the Jews in Arab and Moslem lands following establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948. While you may ignore the truth or rewrite the truth (Arabs excel at both), you cannot change neither the facts nor the truth. Why does it pain you so much to acknowledge that Jews suffered mightily at the hands of the Arabs and the Moslems?

Jews & Arabs cannot live together. The best solution is the Arab refugees can take the Jewish houses in Arab lands and the Jews to stay in israel.Jews have lost much more than the Arabs. .

It is the Jews who were EXPELLED from Arab and Moslem lands and the Arabs who LEFT Israel voluntarily. Not the other way around, as you ineptly attempt to suggest. Your ham-handed effort to rewrite history fools no one. Especially Jews. Face it, you're just not smart enough.
85. The Expulsion of Mizrahi Jews
GUH   (11.11.10)
Is one of Israel's most prolific myths. It is a campaign that developed in the '90s in order to delegitimize Palestinian refugees and prevent any right of return for them. 900,000 Jews did indeed leave their traditional homes of thousands of years, but that is hardly indicative of an expulsion. First lets look at time frames: the exodus of Palestinians occurred rapidly, 1948-1950, and was the result of expulsion outright, the fear of being killed (like in Deir Yassin, Duwayima, and other villages), and very few by encouragement of Arabic leaders. They settled in nearby countries with the hope of returning to their homes. That is a refugee. The Jewish exodus took place between 1949-1967, a very broad period of time, and they all (or almost all) chose to settle in Israel and lead new lives. That is not being a refugee, that is immigration. There was some persecution, undeniably, but to associate it with expulsion is perverse. Looking at individual cases: Yemenite Jews were airlifted (operation Magic Carpet); Iraqi Jews were terrorized into leaving by Zionist ops- in fact the Iraqi government made an effort to prevent them from leaving; Egyptian Jews were tempted to leave as result of Egyptian-Israeli tensions (Lavon Affair, 1956 war, 1967 war), but Israel needed a labor force, so it enouraged immigration, "aliyah", just as it does today. In fact, we can quote a few who refused the label of 'refugee': Speaker of the Knesset, Yisrael Yeshayahu, declared in 1975: "We are not refugees. [Some of us] came to this country before the state was born. We had messianic aspirations." Shlomo Hillel, a government minister and an active Zionist in Iraq, said "I don't regard the departure of Jews from Arab lands as that of refugees. They came here because they wanted to, as Zionists." One more: In a knesset hearing, Ran Kohen declared, "I have this to say: I am not a refugee." He added: "I came at the behest of Zionism, due to the pull that this land exerts, and due to the idea of redemption. Nobody is going to define me as a refugee." So, this new precondition that Palestinians recognize Mizrahi Jews as refugees is a gross farce and another ridiculous demand.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.11.10)
The Arabs who left Israel in 1948 left voluntarily; they are not refugees at all, and never have been -- they were not expelled. That makes them displaced persons, not refugees -- the two are not interchangeable terms. They therefore do not enjoy a right of return. It is not the fault of Israel that their Arab brethren refused to resettle them. The Jews who were forcibly expelled from their homes in Arab and Moslem lands had no choice in the matter. They were subject to horrible persecution, which is well documented (please see my post at No. 76 for links). The fact that they were resettled by Israel (or any other country) does not change the fact that they were expelled with little more than the clothes on their backs and all their property, businesses, bank accounts and the like were illegally expropriated. Besides, as I said -- that made them TRUE refugees. The Arabs who left Israel in 1948 were not forced from their homes; they left voluntarily and for the cruelest of reasons -- their leadership told them to get out of the way of the conquering Arab armies who were going to push the Jews into the sea. As an added incentive, they were promised that they could pick over the belongings that the Jews would leave behind. That makes them vultures in addition to being voluntary quits. Please note that the Arabs who ignored the calls of their leadership are citizens of Israel, enjoying all of the privileges of citizenship although not all of the obligations. In many cases, one family decided to stay; their next-door neighbors decided to leave. Had there been forcible expulsion, everyone would have left, right? Common sense tells you that -- at least it should.

The Khazarian Ashkenazi Zionists are not descendants of Abraham, and are therefore not covered by the promise in Genesis 12:1-2. These people knowingly lie to the world with their claims that the land of Israel is theirs by birthright, when in actual fact their real homeland is over 800 miles away in Georgia.

Dream on, oh conspiracy theorist. I have news for you: 1. Aliens did NOT crash in Roswell, New Mexico. 2. There was NO second shooter on the grassy knoll. 3. Nearly one million Jews were forcibly expelled from their homes in Arab and Moslem lands following Israel's victory in the War of Independence and the remnant that remained in countries which did not expel all the Jews were forced out following Israel's stunning victory in 1967. http://www.justiceforjews.com/sanc-egypt.pdf http://middleeastfacts.com/Articles/history-of-jews-in-arab-countries.php http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/History/jewref.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_lands The Jews who were forcibly and, in many cases, brutally expelled from their homes were true refugees. If they no longer are it is because they have been absorbed by Israel and other countries. That does not mean that they do not deserve just compensation for their illegally expropriated property. The Arabs who VOLUNTARILY left Israel in 1948 did so on the assumption that it would be a temporary departure. Israel, as a sovereign state, does not have to readmit them -- that is a right enjoyed by all sovereign states. Any property which they left behind is legally considered to have been abandoned. They are displaced persons, not refugees. You can apply whatever spin you want; what you CANNOT do is change the truth and alter the facts to meet your agenda.

It said the Jews are an Ummah (community of believers) alongside the Muslims. The Jews have their religion and the Muslims theirs. As well, it noted that each will assist one another against any violation of this covenant. But, Genesis 16:12: "And [Ishmael] will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren." The Babylonian Talmud states that the Jewish god regrets having created the Ishmaelites: "R. Hana b. Abba stated: It was said at the schoolhouse, There are four things of which the Holy One, blessed be He, repents that He had created them, and they are the following: Exile, the Chaldeans, the Ishmaelites and Evil Inclination. 'The Exile', since it is written, Now, therefore, what do I here, saith the Lord, seeing that My people is taken away for naught etc.;9 'the Chaldeans', since it is written, Behold the land of the Chaldeans—this is the people that was not;10 'the Ishmaelites', since it is written, The tents of the robbers11 prosper, and they that provoke God are secure since God brought them with His hand;12 'the Evil Inclination', since it is written, [And I will gather her that is driven away] and her that I have afflicted.13".
