Close UNWRA and the problem will resolve itself. American and European taxpayers will be very grateful. Let the Saudis fit the bill.

63. Michael #60 is wrong: Pal lovers can't cope
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (11.21.10)
We "lunatics" have been saying this for decades - that the Arabs who claim they are "Palestinians" don't want peace. Now we're proven correct. There is no such thing as an Arab "true democracy", so why does Michael de Perpignan think that "Palestine" will be the first one? It won't. It will be just another despotic, repressive Arab regime whose citizens flee to France and Germany and America by the tens and hundreds of thousands to escape "Arab democracy". Michael is the one who should be worried, since by the 22nd century France will most likely have Sharia law and he could be executed for saying anything bad against France's Muslim prime minister and president.
64. Well, DOHHH!!!!!!!!!
MRT ,   USA   (11.21.10)
All you have to do is listen to Abbas on the radio or TV (in Arabic) and you know he has no desire for peace. His plan has always been: PIECE by piece by piece. Get it through your brain! And lying to the west and non-muslims to get what you want (eventually) is HONORABLE and standard business. If you understood Islam you would know that!!!!!!!

writes QUOTE: stay strong Nour. The West is hearing the story of Palestine. Wewll firstly there was no such state called Palestine.Check with Old Testament & the Quran. In fact the Old Testament and Quran are saying Israel is the land of the JEWS. The WEST can do nothing. They are nearly BANKRUPT and secondly they are afraid because of the Muslims immigrants in Europe, thirdly they supports Palestinians for their own interest such as, OIL,Investments, business, etc,.but you can rest assured deep inside your leaders heart they support ISRAEL.Europe will turn to ISLAM within 30/40 years wait and see. Start to practice Islam.
68. Terry nails it again
Steveoh ,   USA   (11.21.10)
Once again Terry is right on point. Now the Israeli politicians need to move forward with a new plan. Enough is a enough. Under Balfour Declaration all land east and west of the Jordan River was to be the JEWISH homeland. Ever since that time the nations of the world have been slowly eating away at this homeland. Time to say goodbye to cowardly appeasement.
69. #62. How come that "all people in Gaza hate Hamas"?

zionist forever   (11.21.10)
Israel has never defined its own borders because it has never had set border. In 1947 the UN proposed giving Israel 55% of mandate Palestine minus Jaffa and it wouldn't have got any part of Jerusalem which was going to be an international zone until its long term future could be decided. The arabs wanted a war and when that was over Israel was left with 78% of mandate Palestine and Jerusalem was divided for the first and last time in its history. A ceasefire line is not an official border although Israel was never going to offer to give up 78% + west Jerusalem for the UN proposed borders which would have left it with 45% and no Jerusalem. In 1967 Israel traded the 1949 ceasefire line for a different ceasefire line. There is not enough support in Israel amongst the jewish majority to go along with the single state idea and their opinions are the only ones that matter. Even Obama is not going to have the courage to push for a single state because it would be political suicide. A single state is the prefered solution in the US political establishment and just about every country in the world except Israel. Problem is that any mainstream politician in the US & western Europe is not going to risk their political career which is why all we ever hear about is how committed the all are to a two state solution. I don't believe that 2 states will ever bring peace to the region just an arab state but why should Israel give up its identity as a jewish state for the sake of peace. Surrender is not peace and everything has a price beyond which you will not pay including for peace. A single state would probably result in civil war because the zionist movement will not end with a single state and there is to much hatred between arabs & jews so we will be fighting it out for control of the country there are to many ideologies religious and secular. Until the arabs accept they can't have everything they want and accept Israel's existence as a jewish state then palestinian state or not we will never have peace. Thankfully for you Matty its not your problem because the fighting won't extend as far as Fairport.

73. Cheap political spin
John R ,   NYC USA   (11.22.10)
Greenberg ,Quinlin, Rosner is first and foremost a political consulting firm that also does polling. They also do focus groups for the expressed purpose of molding public opinion. They are not Pew Research, they are not Gallop. The question, which was the basis of this article, related to Palestinians accepting a two state solution while working for a one state, Palestinian solution. It was a transparently leading question. It is not a question which any pure polling firm would ever ask.The answer has more to do with hubris and pride than anything remotely resembling a shrewd plan to destroy Israel. It literally suggests to a Palestinian recipient what should be a politically correct answer given their current predicament. The fact that the bulk would accept a two state solution with land swaps and both Iran and Hamas violence is overwhelmingly rejected is what should have been the headline. This article was written for the expressed purpose of molding Israeli opinion against a two state solution. The World Zionist Congress which traces its history to Theodore Hertzl came out in full support of both the two state solution and the settlement freeze. Because a bunch of rich, US Jewish religious zealots want to influence Israeli public opinion by appealing to your greatest fears is not a reason to act like sheep. See this article for exactly what it is, cheap political spin.
74. to the delusion
michael ,   perpignan france   (11.22.10)
Some of us here are old enough to have been raised on stories of the dreaded communist. And see exactly the same technique and fear mongering transfered to the Muslim. In other words we know the BS is in the story tellers head. If the Arab is so "genetically" hostile forever and ever. Why did you choose to live in the the middle of the Ummah where you claim nobody likes you? Weird people aren't you? Palestine does not exist? You created it Israel. Palestine is now the shared Israel and occupation experience of Arab's. Decent enough starting point for the commencement of a new national framework. Scary tales in Europe ? A Cordoban revival sounds beautiful to me. Get therapy Zion. You're seriously depressed and might hurt someone
