Your offer of help is appreciated, and I hope your equipment and dedicated teams will help put out this fire. May the future be free of disasters so that we don't have to send rescue teams to each other's countries, and instead send tourists and exchanges of culture, sports and academics.

42. Zionist forever #15--The US is an ocean away
Mikey ,   SomeWhere OverHere   (12.03.10)
It makese sense that neighboring nations be the first to offer and render assistance--if God forbid, the situation becomes much worse--I think the US would help. This is a tragic and dangerous situation, no doubt, but it is not on the scale of the tsunami or the Haitian earthquake that rescue teams need be sent from across the world. Help from Israel's immediate neighbors is more timely and necessary.
43. thanks everyone who's helping, even if it's just symbolic

I pray for the people at that zone. I hope fire soon will be over. And helps like that which includes all nations reminds me that we are all humans who share same Earth.

53. Israel deserves help
Art ,   Sydney   (12.03.10)
Whenever there's a disaster in ANY country, Israel is ALWAYS one of the first to offer help. The Haiti earthquake in Jan 2010 is a case in point. The 2004 Tsunami is another example. So it's only fair that in Israel's hour of need, other friendly countries should come to her help. But what about our next door neighbour, Lebanon? Why aren't they helping? Where is their humanity? Or don't they have any. What about Syria? Why aren't they helping? I bet if the situation was reversed and there were emergencies in either of those two countries, Israel would offer what help they could.
54. merci
mohson   (12.03.10)
Thank you to the various countries for responding to calls for help. After all this is over, the fire service must acquire 6 fire fighting planes, retardent and blocking materials for use against natural and terror caused fires in order to respond quickly. It must be obvious to all israelis, that bibi and lieberman have taken action quickly, decisively and with sincerity to deal with this fire. Unlike past situations specifically in 2006 where leaders dithered and stammered and made israel look weak, this team has done well, with no begging involved. Israelis especially the media should remember this fact during the debates ahead. This is exactly what we want in our leaders unlike in 2006.
55. To Sarah B
Luiz Felipe Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (12.03.10)
As you see, several countries, including Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, are helping Israel to fight against the fire. I believe Brazil will also do it. What does it mean? Peace is possible, since radicalism, from both sides, be won. Alias, I visited Israel, last month, and my friendship for her has increased very much. God bless you and your suffered but strong people. Luiz Felipe Haddad.
56. Well done Turkey! end

59. Thank you #51, but you should do something
Israeli 2   (12.03.10)
about your ugly anti Israeli and anti semitic government. They were offering their no shame hypocritical supply of aid!!! They would have been more respected should they offer nothing. However, if people like you were in charge, we would receive it warmly.
60. My heartfelt condolences to those who have perished
Ibrahim ,   Ankara, Turkey   (12.03.10)
My thoughts are with the families of all those who fell victim to the fire tragedy.
