I heard about it while watching TV, a very tragic story indeed. I am 16 years old as well, and I don't know if I could run into the fire and save others' lives as he did, his decision was very brave, he is my hero.

May God have mercy on his soul, he was a hero. We would like to express our sorrow to the Riven family. More of the kids should be like him. We send you strength in this tragic time.

We heard about the accident and we were in shock. We didn't believe that there are young people that are ready to sacrifice their lives in the big fire. He was a hero!

In Israel, teens commit to a certain number of volunteer hours which they can do in the police and in MDA, too. Of curse, I'm not saying that its O.K. that the child died- its not, but there is no surprise about the volunteering of the kid in the firefighters.

When Elad died a light didn't go out in the world . When a big hero like that , with a sweet and wonderful soul dies , they say, the light of their soul comes down and helps the world be brighter. Maybe God needs the help ! It is the Jewish way of thinking that a soul goes to heaven and God helps the world become better using that soul. He would want us to continue to save and help people just like he did. I'm sure his mother and all that loved him will miss him. May they have strength to continue to live a life without him and do good things in his memory!
