1. Katz is an embarrassment to Israeli democracy
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (12.28.10)
Sure, and if we shoot a few Haredi rabbis who have fictitious yeshivas in order to steal money, we'll solve that problem too. And while we're at it, why not shoot a couple of Knesset members who get out of line... that will make them behave too. This man should be suspended from the Knesset and kicked out of his party for suggesting that police start shooting criminals in the head.
2. Our country is under attack!
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (12.28.10)
Put the Bedouin in "pounds", shoot the supporters of "infiltrators", state of emergency to shut down Bagatz and freedom of speech?!? This is the language of the SS and SA! Israel is under attack by fanatical Jewish extremists! These people think they're uber-menche! I hope the army intervenes for the sake of the country if things get out of hand!
3. MK Nissim Zeev.
Birdi ,   Israel   (12.28.10)
"I wish it was under the jurisdiction of the Interior Ministry. Then we would have already taken care of it." he said Yes, sure, just like the Ministry of Interior took care of the lack of fire fighting tools. Talk is cheap.
4. Who is this idiot!
(12.28.10)
5. I AGREE WITH KATZ
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (12.28.10)
Action is needed.
6. A nation must control its borders.
Steve   (12.28.10)
This has been a big problem in the US. There is evidence jihadists (who are acting as sleeper cells in American cities) are crossing into the US through the porous Mexican border. It is not xenophobic to be concerned about a jihad threat. Often I wonder what the predominant religion of these infiltrators into Israel is. Are they Christian? Are they Muslim? Will these people present a future threat to Israel's security?
7. MK Nissim Zeev (Shas) the knesset clown
Avi ,   Israel   (12.28.10)
MK Nissim Zeev (Shas) also said earthquakes are caused by gay people. Sorry but nothing MK Nissim Zeev (Shas) is of any relevance as he has proved himself time and time again to be the knesset clown, and truly demonstartes why state and religion should be seperated.
8. Examine Thoroughly
SIGMUND   (12.28.10)
Examine the matter thoroughly the reasons infiltrators leave the necessity for islamic refugees to be given refuge in islamic lands and for christians to be received in christian africa. People smugglers must be imprisoned and lose voting rights but not yet shot. All refugees must be screened for peaceful type personalities then given jobs and skills and return to rehabilitate africa. Israel is for the jews and only the jews can control security immigration and citizenship. Where was africa before ww2 . Did they offer refuge to jews . ONLY THE PHILLIPINES AND SHANGHAI DID.
9. Bullits for Bedouins and Bolsheviks too
Kanye West ,   Atlanta, CSA   (12.28.10)
Who ever is a threat, that comes to kill you in the land of your own name.
10. Shoot rabbis? Separate State and Synagogue
baruch norman ,   Bet HaKerem   (12.28.10)
Then we stop the collapse of our nation thru the end of religious Jews in our politics and their immoral demands?
11. he is mad
russEL ,   TLV   (12.28.10)
Israeli parliament member calls for people to be shot in the head. This should be an international headline. the man is evil
12. The governments of Eritrea and Sudan...
Sojourner ,   Jerusalem   (12.29.10)
should be called to pay noice and respond. The situations these infiltrators are having to endure can be inhumane. What actions are they taking or what kind of help to they need to better manage their society? It's not fair to bog down a governmental system with unforeseen refugees. Have these governments responded to this trend? Israel and Palestine have enough issues to deal with without having to be burdened with other humanitarian issues. Countries really need to be able to take care of their people.
13. Yaacov katz
Spencer ,   Israel   (12.29.10)
This man should be thrown out opf his party and definitely expelled from the Knesset
14. I have great idea
Sagi   (12.29.10)
We can start by "shooting" a couple of Rabbis and that will stop the religious "infiltration" and incringement on our daily life. We can then proceed by "shooting" a coule of lesbians or homosexuals and then no doubt this "ugly" practice will cease. After that we can take on the smokers and those who park in spots marked for invalids. Just "shoot" a couple from each group and the problem is solved.
15. simple solutions
PaulB ,   Cairns Australia   (12.29.10)
The Israeli solution to everything: kill everyone who doesn't do what you want. So Chosen it hurts.
16. Evidence?
Mike ,   Melbourne, Australia   (12.29.10)
don't use the word evidence lightly. show your facts or shut up. The biggest Jihad threat is Isreali policies. muslim/christian or jewish, a refugee is a refugee, and their fleeing of their own areas is legitimised by the geneva conventions the UN USA and isreal constantly break, despite being signatories. rifle fire against a brick wall, why is it the only solutions isreali politicians can think of are the most violent, cruel and aggressive? and don't tell me its to protect themselves, these people get off on murder and torture, considering theyre not really under that much of a threat as they percieve and like to have you believe so you keep supplying them with more of your earthly gains. head out of the sand, muslims are your religious cousins, not your sworn enemies, it is the action of the person that dictate their enemies to them.
17. anyone recall why..
pini   (12.29.10)
the kingdom of solomon fell?
18. It's a mitzva not to oppress the stranger
Rouven ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.29.10)
While large numbers of refugees do pose a demographic threat, we should not forget one thing: Hashem commands us in His Torah not to oppress the stranger and the reason given is that we were strangers in Egypt. This corresponds to the refugees, because we ourselves have been refugees just 60-70 years ago. I remember very well how the Germans brought Jews to the polish border and chased them across at gunpoint, and the Polish police shot in the air and chased them back, and so it went on the whole night. I also remember how there was a system of "trade" set up among the police offices of various european countries who were getting money from Jewish refugees to cross the border and were later caught on the other side and deported back and forth throughout Europe. We must not ignore our past. These people are unfortunate refugees of the worst places in Africa and deserve our help and attention. Halacha and historic lessons point to the same conclusion.
19. Irresponsible leadership
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (12.29.10)
I fully support freedom of speech. In fact, it is helpful in allowing those, like Mr. Katz to show what kind of person they are. What I say in private (or think), as a private citizen, is my business. What I say in public, as an elected official is a completely different matter. An elected official ceases to be a private citizen, and represents the needs of the people. For the good of the country, leaders must be able to put aside pettiness and personal agendas, and work for the greater good. These kind of statements are irresponsible. They show utter defiance of leadership, common sense and rationality. Indeed, this kind of comment serves to undermine the stability of this country, and serves as a greater threat to our future, than our own enemies. This must stop!
20. Keep the bums out!! It IS A PLOT against the State!!
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (12.29.10)
On my last trip to Israel I have seen with my own eyeballs new trails worn into the Negev landscape by the Bedouin on thier "quad" bikes leading from the border to points unknown.
