61. Minister Michele Alliot-Marie :
Israeli 2   (01.23.11)
You have a long name and confusing one at that. Why don't you call yourself "Metumtemet" so that everyone knows what you really are.
62. John #23:
Israeli 2   (01.23.11)
That's just it, John. The two state solution is NOT going to work...because the Palestinians and most Israelis do not want it to work. Because sensible Israeli friends do NOT want Israel to be in a indefensible State. The so called Palistinians want all of Israel. This is the basics of the M.E. conflict. No recognition of Israel and NO Israel.
63. #34! OH NO! You are referencing one of
Israeli 2   (01.23.11)
the Alonis? You leftist NUT you! If you want to SPLIT, then split but Israel is here forever.
64. France backs the Palisteinians makes sense RIGHT ???
M.S. ,   mpls america   (01.23.11)
The geographicial and so historicial position of France especialy due to W W I II makes it quite easy and so simple to see why it backs the P A and so the Palisteinians but Israel may have a right to the area also too although no body is willing to recognize that possibility and so 2011 drags on and so as Lebanon and so struggles to form a new government acceptable to all sides groups positions and so as the middle east struggles to co exist but what does the future hold RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
65. The Truth About settlements (Part 1)
Robert Blum ,   New York USA   (01.23.11)
US President Barack Obama consistently couches his demand that Israel prohibit Jewish people from constructing or expanding our homes and communities in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria in legal-sounding language. Obama has called settlements "illegitimate." And he has said that Israel "has obligations under the road map," while referring disparagingly to "settlements that, in past agreements, have been categorized as illegal." Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Obama's Middle East envoy George Mitchell have repeatedly uttered similar statements. By characterizing its demand that Israel prohibit Jews from building homes in Israel's capital city and its heartland as a legal requirement, the Obama administration portrays Israel as an international outlaw. After all, if building homes for Jews is a crime, and Israel is not prohibiting Jews from building homes, then Israel is at best guilty of enabling a crime to take place, and at worst, it is a criminal state. It makes good political sense for the Obama administration to make its case against Israel in this fashion. According to a survey of US public opinion published in early 2006 by the Boston Review, whereas only 7 percent of Democrats support going to war to spread democracy - versus 53% of Republicans; 71% of Democrats - versus 36% of Republicans - support going to war to help the United Nations "uphold international law." What this poll shows is that for Obama supporters, the idea that Israel should be treated poorly because it is in breach of international law resonates deeply. The problem with the Obama administration's characterization of a ban on Jewish building in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria as an Israeli legal obligation is that Israel has never taken upon itself a legal obligation to prohibit such building activities. Israel has never signed an agreement that has characterized any Jewish communities as "illegal."
66. To France
Matthias ,   Munich, Germany   (01.23.11)
Isn't there a region in France where some people seeks a state? What is with the Basques under french and spanish occupancy ot the Corsicans? Look at your own country Miss FM! I believe these people did more deserve independence that the so called "palestinianse"!
67. Palestinians to France
John   (01.23.11)
Why does Michelle Alliot-marie not offer part of France for a new palestinian State. France is much bigger than tiny Israel, plus the fact that there are already millions of their kindred living in France... or don't the palestinian invaders in Israel read the newspapers?
68. After being attacked = I love you
AL ,   usa   (01.23.11)
It is strange that after she was attacked that she came out with the hearts and flowers rhetoric for the terrorists in Gaza. But then again she is French and they are used to working with and appeasing foreign people who are set on world domination.
69. Ha Ha Ha! That's a good one !!!
Tamar   (01.23.11)
"an independent, democratic Palestinian state"...Ha Ha Ha. You mean like IRAQ? Like IRAN? Like SYRIA? Like LEBANON? Like Egypt etc. etc. This girl has a sense of humor !!! A bit warped but a sense of hour nonetheless !!!

72. hahaha democratic palstinian, I don't even
ghostq   (01.23.11)
think she knows what she is talking about. there is no democracy there nor ever will be, they r the only people in the world who has small army to every political party.
73. #8 in another perspective
observer   (01.23.11)
the great solid support for Israel by the French can be melted with a few stones. US's turn next.
74. #43 Settlers
Madeleine ,   Israel   (01.23.11)
I doubt that these illegal Arab settlers can trace their lineage back very far to anywhere, since the so-called Palestinians are indeed a trumped up nation. Jordan was created by the British, carved out of the wh ole of the Land of Israle, which included all of "greater" Israel as well as much of the land east of the Jordan River. Thatwas the land meant for the Aabs, land where n o Jews would be allowed to live. wonder why the Arabs didn't flock there in their masses. Oh yes, they saw the miracles the Jews were working in this country, bringing the land back to life, converting desert areas into farmland, builiding kibbutzim, towns, communities. And apart from the native Americans, who lived in Canada when the British and French arrived and conquered the land? So when are the French settlers leaving Quebec?

77. Independence for Basques & Corsicans!
nadav ,   tlv israel   (01.23.11)
2 can play that game, Madame! If the so called "palestinians: - who are nothing but Egyptians and Jordanians get to create another jihadist, arab-terror state- then why shouldn't Israel recognize the independence of Corsica and htre Basque homeland- these people are more deserving than the Nasser-invented "palestinians!" I'm all for a Basque and Corsican Embassy in Jerusalem!

79. #76 & #78; split, As I suspected...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (01.23.11)
It was why I included the phrase those with a "hidden agenda". You clearly fall into that category. Gallup is as old and respected polling company, as with any company I'm sure mistakes are made. But your sarcastic response: "where was the poll taken, in NYC", because it disproved your thoughtless anti - Israel assertions (that the U.S. will not continue to support Israel) proves my point. Your just a garden variety antisemitic person, who makes accusations they can't back up. When proved wrong with well sourced information falls back on their antisemitic statements. Had you read #54, my post, it links you to the source and you can see exactly how the poll was taken (It wasn't NYC). You see, those who support Israel, have nothing to hide, unlike the anti - Israel crowd who make baseless remarks they can never back up with any credible source. Thanks, for the classic illustration of you people work.
80. 57 - You've already proven that you're all talk and no subst

81. #70; Mr. Peabody, Yes it is...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (01.23.11)
I'm aware that those people exist, they always will. That translates to roughly 10% of the U.S. population. So whenever you see a poll, any poll regarding Israel taken in the U.S., just remove the appropriate percentage from the anti - Israel side. Since their opinion is based on hatred, rather than true political opinion. So it actually bolsters Israel's case, because in the arena of legitimate political disagreement, The U.S. population is solidly on the side of Israel. Also I've noticed those who seem the most antisemitic are the ones who whine the loudest, that they are being falsely accused. That it is a conspiracy to stifle legitimate political debate about Israel. So not only are they antisemitic, but the most paranoid nuts out there. They're delusional, and believe they are the sole voice standing up to the powers that be, really kind of laughable, when you think about it.
82. Understand why France backs Palestine
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.23.11)
They simply have more Muslims than they're able to handle at the present time, they don't want more of the same

88. #87; split; WRONG AGAIN, your funny
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (01.24.11)
You gotta love this guy, he is always wrong. Yet writes with such assurance and confidence, the ignorant usually feel that way, they don't even know, that they don't know, how sad. The answer to your question is 9 Israeli's have won. See Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ada_Yonath She won in 2009 in Chemistry. But the article does mention how many Israeli's have won the prize. But what was your point? As we all know Arabs have not added anything to help mankind in the last century. While the Jewish people have saved literally millions and millions of lives with their inventions and research. Have a NICE DAY.
89. 88 - As we all know Arabs have not added anything
split ,   US   (01.25.11)
They as other folks from around the World don't make lists with citizens of other countries and claim them as their own despite that they chose with their feet for whom they're.

Emma ,   London   (02.16.11)
What do you expect from a pig but a grunt? She is French after all, one of the most anti-Semitic nations in the world.
