1. RIP - Spare us this dark ages 'blood libel'
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.20.11)
This does not represent observant Judaism, nor reflect the gallant efforts of a brave police officer who died doing his duty. These dark allegations are better kept out of the public limelight for all concerned.
2. Rabbi, ease up on the funny stuff...hahaha
Marco ,   Spain   (02.20.11)
3. ur not god to say that but the world runs in mysterious ways
moti ,   usa   (02.20.11)
4. Stupidity Training
Steve ,   Raanana   (02.20.11)
There must be a special course for rabbis training them to say things that outrage the vast majority of Israelis. The comments are so stupid, primitive and sacrilegious that an intensive effort must be underway to come up with things like this. And the authors of these statements clearly want to create an even deeper schism in our society.
5. What???
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (02.20.11)
One of the highest levels of a mitzva is to save or risk one's life to save others. To say that someone died because of what they did in the past is a "chilool hashem". With that kind of logic, does that mean that a Rabbi who dies, died because they did something wrong in the past. Brigadier-General Lior Boker died while trying to save others, so he was a true hero.
6. I swear these freaky 'Rabbis' are truly freaks.
Al   (02.20.11)
They are far from being Rabbis..more like schnorrers with facial hair. Give it a rest..the man is dead...Let his family mourn in peace.
7. Yesh Din Veyesh Dayan THERE A G-D AFTER ALL
(02.20.11)
Who keeps a good ledger
8. The Rabbi is breaking a commandment: not to oppress a widow
Abe Froman ,   NY, NY   (02.20.11)
9. who is this bublil character?
observer   (02.20.11)
who does he think he is? He may a be a jerk, but Mrs Boker, he is not inciting anyone. You'll have to find a better argument. Perhaps just tell him he is a jerk.
10. These wild assertions.
Ernest Saenz ,   Amman, Jordan   (02.20.11)
This is one of a number of wild kinds of assertions rabbis can come out with. There are a wider array of tangible issues that definitely are hard pressed for comments by Jewish teachers. Some comments coming from these rabbis do no justice to God, the faith, the people or the land. If you have a Levite Priest to clear your comments through, it would be interesting to see, read and/or hear how enlightening his words would be. Or who knows, maybe not. How many Levites are there to be gathered and read to? That hadn't happened yet, had it?
11. Freedom of speech isnt always nice. If you want to worry abo
Yaniv ,   Rosh Pinah   (02.20.11)
about incitement then the entire Islamic Northern Branch and every Israeli Arab waving PLO flags, every Israeli Arab MK pushing for our demise, all need to be jailed before this person says what he said. A) Be consistent in your stifling of free speech Leftists, that way you appear to have integrity and even handedness behind you. Otherwise your just crying a river of bs. and YOUR particular hatreds, paranoias and jealousies. Get over it, youre no saint, and your shyt smells too. Im secular and I can see both sides
12. Rabbi blames anti-Haredi activity for death 13 years later
Eli ,   Israel   (02.20.11)
Another lunatic fringe rabbi spews more crap. Why bother to write about this in what is supposed to be a serious newspaper. Say, when is Menahem Mendel due back?
13. Intermediaries Not needed
Dan ,   USA   (02.20.11)
Again I ask why do people need other people to be their conduit to their god? We are no longer afraid of lightning and thunder. These so called men of god are a drain on society.
14. Rabbi Bublil is a discrace and should be charged
Avi ,   Israel   (02.21.11)
just another case of a vile rabbi cashing in on other peoples misery in order to promote his own agenda. These people have no shame and no respect for the mourners of Lior Boker. At this very time there are those fanatics trying to pass a bill that will exclude rabbis from any kind of prosecution. This case clearly demonstrates that these so called men of God should be judged in a court of law like every other citizen in this country. If they dont like they are free to leave.
15. Rabbi's comments aren't helping haradim community at all
William ,   Israel   (02.21.11)
such raucous comments only help alienate the religious community, which may be exactly what the rabbis want. Any rabbi who honestly follows Torah wouldn't dare utter such blasphemy as they know they can never understand the intricate wisdom of G-d and his actions. This rabbi shows his ignorance and egotism by purporting the haradim as a superior population.
16. Rabbi GhettoThink
mea   (02.21.11)
Leave it to the dark ages inside the minds of the backward ultra-right rabbis to come up with this angle. Not a bit different than fundamentalist Christians. No wonder they're in bed with each other. Both groups are ruining Israel. Attn US Christian groups: this is what your funding gets us, bigots and more backward bigots.
17. 7 , ashamed to give your name ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.21.11)
You're right , you have to be ashamed to believe this BS you wrote .
18. Yaniv 11
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (02.21.11)
Youi are right , all those people , this rabbi included , are the same hatefull ones . Yes , they are all of the lowest level , you also , rightist fascist .
19. Foul mouthed people
Sagi   (02.21.11)
should be open to libel and slander suits, including Rabbis.
20. r.... Bublil-Neve Rotem
gary ,   herzlia   (02.21.11)
the so call learned teacher was given first rites to sell the houses to his followers at very low prices at that time(1995).he couldn't find buyers from his followers.the houses were constantly damage to scare the owners to sell at low prices.homes were rented, and his followers moved in.the renters cheques were worthless.the so call school was place their illegally.
21. The painful Rabbi s words.
ORA ,   Jerusalem   (02.21.11)
When something negative happens in my life,i do everything materially possible ,to get rid of that. And i also think, what did i wrong against G-D and people.I always find some wrongdoings,i correct them, and than i pray G-D to protect me.That works for me. But to judge people who lost beloved ones, this is a whole other story. Some Rabbis think they can do that. I am not clever enough to understand that. I understand the outrage of the public. Though the orthodoxe being more familiar with the notion of punishment, will take the words of the Rabbi with some salt. My heartfelt empathy goes to the mourners, for whom the Rabbis words must have been very painful, after what they already suffered.I hope they will have the strength to forgive, for the sake of Shalom,so that the General Lior Boker Z"L may rest in peace.
