The true alternative for Israel is to make its neighbors seek peace. You know, sorta like Allies made Nazi Germany seek peace through unconditional surrender, instead of suing for peace with Hitler. Something tells me that when "palestinians" will come to Israel begging for peace, Israel will be able to deliver. It will never work the other way around.
62. Would haber still write this if it was his

family that was butchered? It is the leftist politicians that encourage the terrorists along with the Israeli court system and the media. The way to end pali violence is to hit them so hard and to make sure they pay a gallon of blood for each Jewish corpuscle they spill. No more land for them, it is our Jewish land not theirs. We do not owe them anything and they should remember their state will be still born.
63. #60 Jon Please read Hamas Charter
Phil ,   Ireland   (03.18.11)
Of course this is a document written by a democratically elected peace loving government. It is very obvious that they really want peace isn't it?

To # 32....Attacks by Israelis?...many...you mean the very few perpetrators who wish to give the Palestinians a taste of their own medicine? Those who are arrested judged and jailed?...Even here you are mixing actions of the Palestinians to the reaction of the Israelis....that Israelis unlike Palestinians are not taught to hate Arabs and annihilate them...also are the numbers of pro Israeli Palestinians anything close to that of the pro Palestinian Israelis? Peace is the dream and wish of those who respect and value life, not of those who embrace death. Is there peace and cohesiveness between the Arabs?...when that time comes, and our values are shared with what is our enemy, there can maybe a glimmer of hope. When humans stop celebrating the massacre of the enemy's babies, and instead cry and vomit , maybe we will have to speak with. Arab Israelis live way better than their brothers in their own countries...Israel is flourishing economically while the rich Arab countries citizens are exploited under brutal and corrupt regimes. Israelis who commit murder against Palestinians are not glorified, they are jailed. Wake up and have the guts to see things the way they are.

68. #64 Jorge: what "moved in" ??
Rafi ,   US   (03.19.11)
Hizbollah "moved in" to Lebanon, Hamas "moved in" to Gaza, etc... after Israel withdrew ?? Like many of the zealots, you must be detached from reality: these groups were all well-entrenched before AND after IDF pulled out... Yes, for better or worse, they live there amongst the population - big time. And what % were Israeli forces of the TOTAL population of south Lebanon or Gaza at any one time... 3%? 5%? What do you mean Israel "pulled out" and then the terror groups "moved in" ? As in 50% of the population moved out and the other 50% took over? What are you talking about?? Or are you implying that Israel at 5% of the total population, Israelis should have stayed in south Lebanon and Gaza indefinitely? And this would have accomplished... what? Exactly what were your plans for the Arabs, the other 95% of the population? As mentioned, like the zealots, divorced from all reality...
69. There are people that you can never make peace with
Zev ,   Israel   (03.20.11)
Amalek was one. Hitler was another. It seems that the Palestinians are in this group. The sooner we realize this the better it will be for us.
70. Haber is wrong
JUDITH ,   Rishon Letzion, Isra   (03.21.11)
Of course we have a choice. We don't have to capitulate to either 'ally' or enemy. We need to act in best our interests and not compromise our values.
71. WHAT ABOUT ISRAEL FOUNDATION ?
Jonathan ,   Tel Aviv   (03.23.11)
The real issue is to know if jewish people need to live in Israël and why they live in Israël. If i understand you, we have no choice ? but yes we have choice, we have choice to leave and go to USA or Europe because we want to be "modern"...but for all jewish people who believe in Israël destiny and have Emouna, our place is in Israël, war or peace, that's not the question. We are here because it's our spiritual place !! And this condition allows us to be always optimistic even if there is terror. We need EMOUNA and not peace because peace will come with EMOUNA....and we will be able to live with arabs without frustration because we will know who we are and they know already who we are !!
72. "PEACE" is prelude to piecemeal destruction
LT COL HOWARD ,   WASHINGTON DC USA   (03.26.11)
I have been intimately involved with the Islamic world for nearly 30 years. The fundamentalist groups I have had exposure to, are dedicated to the goal of the destruction of Israel. Their every waking moment is devoted to plotting and planning. They are now engaged in a coordinated worldwide endeavor to delegitimize Israel. Their literature talks about the day that the streets will run ankle-deep in Jewish blood. Unfortunately, many countries are helping that day become more probable ,and closer. My Catholic friends classify the foreseeable consequences of such actions as being a" mortal sin". (They regarded it as murder.) One of the Palestinian heroes frequently quoted as being “peace-loving” was personally involved in terrorism. Some years ago, when I interviewed him as part of the Time magazine feature story ,he stated that if you kill one Israeli soldier you have a eliminated one Israeli soldier, but if you kill an Israeli woman, you have eliminated five future Israeli soldiers. It is that it mindset that is, unfortunately, very prevalent in the Islamic world that everyone should recognize. All Jewish men, women, and children anywhere in the world are regarded as legitimate targets. Possibly, China should focus on bringing this terrorist state of mind and the activities are taken as a result of the state of mind to the attention of the world. The glue that binds Arab societies is hatred of Jews. A Pew opinion survey of Arab attitudes towards Jews from June 2009 makes this clear. 95 percent of Egyptians, 97 percent of Jordanians and Palestinians and 98 percent of Lebanese expressed unfavorable opinions of Jews. Three-quarters of Turks, Pakistanis and Indonesians also expressed hostile views of Jews. Throughout the Arab and Muslim world, genocidal anti-Semitic propaganda is all-pervasive. And as Prof. Robert Wistrich has written, "The ubiquity of the hate and prejudice exemplified by this hard-core anti-Semitism undoubtedly exceeds the demonization of earlier historical periods — whether the Christian Middle Ages, the Spanish Inquisition, the Dreyfus Affair in France, or the Judeophobia of Tsarist Russia. The only comparable example would be that of Nazi Germany in which we can also speak of an'eliminationist anti-Semitism' of genocidal dimensions, which ultimately culminated in the Holocaust."
