2. They'd better hurry up
Marty ,   Toronto Canada   (03.19.11)
The "coallition" had better hurry up and finish the job in a day or two before France surrenders to Gaddafi.
3. yes, chris, the ahmadi gang ...

.. needs to get what they deserve
4. Nostradamus said Libya will destroy the Vatican.
Rivkah   (03.19.11)
It seems to me that it is best to let Libya resolve its civil war by itself, so that Libyan missiles are not aimed at Europe. Gadaffi said Libya will join Al Qaida if he is attacked by outside forces. Pope Benedict XV long ago saw the attack on Vatican City and fled for his life in a vision in which all the priests he was running over were dead. Attacking Libya is foolish. Let the Libyans fight it out for themselves.
5. Oh yes this is beautiful!
Johnny ,   Stockholm Sweden   (03.19.11)
Way to go France, Britain, Italy, USA, Canada and others! Let this cockroach Khadaffi pay for his crimes during the last 40 years.
6. I wonder... Europe can attack freely
Mikey   (03.19.11)
And kill and injure civilians (of course, used by the militants), but Israel cannot defend itself against Arab aggression. Hypocrisy?
7. two questions
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.19.11)
I am no supporter of the anti-Israeli, Hamas-supporter Gadaffi, but I have two questions. By what right will the Americans and British complain when the Libyans counterattack like in 9/11 and Lockerbie? Will Obama attack the Bahraini and Saudi forces who are slaughtering pro-democracy protesters?

12. Hostilities end ...dollars and pounds will flow
Roland Seener ,   London England   (03.19.11)
A bottomless bottomless financial pit will ensue.A stable Government. is what is wanted .There is no Government to be put into place at the moment. The occupying allied forces greeted now as liberators will become sniper targets to Libyans as they stay for years to implement alien ideas on the rag-tag leaders of the 'Peoples Army' .Assessment? An action that has not been thought through and many policy makers will come to regret. It is easy to be 'gung-ho' and get involved in conflict, but a suitable withdrawal policy must be on hand and eventually be implemented. Political considerations have let the heart rule the head. Not a very wise move.

Crusaders against Jihadistas.
15. Comment to Orao from Serbia (#11)
Johnny ,   Stockholm Sweden   (03.20.11)
No this is not a repetition of what happened in former Yugoslavia in regards to the actions of the Western allies. What they Western allies did in former Yugoslavia was wrongful in all ways. While Serbian forces surely committed war crimes, the opposing side was even worse. In this situation, it is black and white. Kosovo is Serbia.
16. Attacking Libya for a minority
Gaile McLean ,   Cairns Australia   (03.20.11)
Absurd..........The rebels are a minority and we have the Yanks, Poms and Frogs in there now killing innocent Gaddafi supporters who are the majority. These countries are sick should not be there......Wish someone would do this to their countries while they are so preoccupied destroying Libya for a bunch of terrorists.
17. They're attacking the wrong country, rather attack iran
david ,   uk   (03.20.11)
18. Let the Muzzies pay
YehoshuaJ1 ,   USA   (03.20.11)
Who is going to pay for this? At a cost of $100,000 million per day. What does the the word broke mean? The Usa is broke plan and simple. Every child born owes China $ 20,000 from the day he starts breathing. Let the Muzzies pay with all their oil money. This is bottomless.
19. #7 Two answers
dan ,   chicago, usa   (03.20.11)
1. By what right will the Americans and British complain when the Libyans counterattack like in 9/11 and Lockerbie? When Al Queda claimed credit for 9/11 attacks, they were clear (and proud) that the target was civilians. In the case of Libya, Allied forces say they are targeting radar and anti-aircraft installations so that they can then create a no-fly zone in order to save civilians from attacks by Gadaffi's air force. (ie saving civilians instead of targeting civilians) Libyan TV says otherwise, so I guess you have to ask yourself who you think is more credible. But to answer your question: Allied forces see attacks on anti-aircraft batteries as something entirely different than blowing up office buildings, and that is why they will feel justified in complaining should Gadaffi try to do such a thing. 2. Will Obama attack the Bahraini and Saudi forces who are slaughtering pro-democracy protesters? Maybe. It is entirely possible. Saudi Arabia is traditionally a US ally, but then so was Mubarak so I've come to believe anything is possible.
20. About time! Finish off the bastard.
David ,   Hartford USA   (03.20.11)
His 'supporters' are just camp-followers, licking at the table scraps he tosses to them. If they wish to 'protect' him by throwing away their lives, so be it! Their highest goal is to die in glorious jihad- they get their wish! Wipe the Libyan plate clean and let's try again.
21. 10 Christian.Rettenmoser@web.de: It is actually YHWH
Rivkah   (03.20.11)
who will allow the destruction of the Vatican to cast down the idols, just as He has done at Fukushima where there is a huge carved Buddha in the rock wall fo a mountain. There is an ELS Torah code matrix on the idols being the reason for the destruction in Japan at www.arkcode.com.
22. No Surprise
IRAN#1   (03.20.11)
Libya has oil unlike, Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen or Bahrain. And China needs a lot of oil in the future, so 2+2=4!
23. Insane
leo ,   nyc   (03.20.11)
Presuming the West is conducting this war in self interest, why do they think the rebels are worth supporting??? And do they really think things will be better??? This is insane ---if Bush had done this there would be protests in the US!
24. THIS IS THE FATE OF IRANIAN MINORITY REGIME TOO
IRAN IS FINISHED   (03.20.11)
25. Nostradamus, by the way...
Walt K ,   Sherbrooke, Canada   (03.20.11)
Was born jew... Another hebrew prophet followed by westerners...
26. 8 Lawrence, Safed, Israel: North Korea is a puppet of China.
Rivkah   (03.20.11)
That is the fearsome enemy but it will have to be taken on at some point and obviously it won't be a land battle in China although it well could be in America with China.
27. 9 EU Secular zionist: No, I don't read tea leaves.
Rivkah   (03.20.11)
28. Gaddafi will get stronger and defeat Zionist US, UK forces
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (03.20.11)
Gaddafi is well established leader, he has ideological leader as well for years. He even managed to release two terrorist from UK, now nobody in west supports any military action. They are fed up with already ongoing bloodletting in middleast and cost they pay for it. No, neither zionist servant armies shall win any victory nor israel will be better off. USA and Israel is in ever sinking quagmire and sinking even faster than before.
29. 21, Rivkah...okay, thank you, this sounds
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.20.11)
interesting...
30. 29 Chris Rettenmoser: You are welcome.
