fad egypt   (03.22.11)
each time israel is attacked by rockets and mortars the same response is made by the IDF and barak this is not enough and is uneffective israel must invade gaza bring down the hamas regime control a 10 miles buffer zone between the palestinians and israel return to control the phealadelphae route between egypt and gaza to prevent the smuggling of weapons and try to liberate shalit netanyahu must fire barak and replace him with yaalon to do that job or he can go home and take barak with him shalom
3. Hamas, Stop Hiding behind Women and Children
Israelit ,   Israel   (03.22.11)
The death of innocents is a tragic thing. These people were killed because their leaders hid behind them. Their blood is on Haniyeh and his Cronie's head. As for French outrage, where was it when the Grad Rockets hit Ashkelon? Where is the condemnation for Hamas terror?
4. If...
milly   (03.22.11)
hamas don't fire kasams IDF don't fire back.. ( period )
5. I have a solution
Rachel ,   US   (03.22.11)
Hamas stops firing mortars and rockets and Israel will not drop bombs.
6. I'm sorry for the death of children
Yossef   (03.22.11)
People of Gaza, stop launching rockets to Israel, begin to build a pacific country. Engage a dialog with Israel to improve your country, free Gilad. Stop this path to war and death. Your future is NOT at the end of a gun.
7. #1 HAMAS ARE TO BLAME
andy ,   orlando   (03.22.11)
8. France should stay out
Charles ,   Paris, FRANCE   (03.22.11)
There are enough problems at home that the Sarkozy government should deal with France and stop issuing statements with merde like "We have called on both sides to show the greatest restraint."
9. Hamas can make it stop
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.22.11)
Release Shalit and stop the rockets.

11. This has become totally unbearable.
Dr. Honey ,   Gaza   (03.22.11)
I really can't live my life like this all the time. Please stop.
12. the french
YANIV ,   UK   (03.22.11)
The French have the audacity to tell Israel to show restraint when there are bombing Libya as we speak, yet not one bomb has hit France but they have the right to bomb Libya. What hypocrites they are and the lengths they would go for oil. There are millions of people really really suffering in Africa, Sudan Asia etc but they decide to hit Libya. I WONDER WHY and ask what would their response would be if rockets would be landing on their soil everyday!!
13. "When the Arabs put down their weapons, peace will reign....
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.22.11)
...But when Israel puts down its weapons, there will not be Israel. It is high time peace loving people worldwide demanded of the Arabs to put down their weapons, don't you think...??
14. some nerve
marco ,   pardes hana, israel   (03.22.11)
15. @11 For Dr Honey
Reuven ,   Israel   (03.22.11)
I am sure it must be unbearable, but the ones that need to STOP are those that STARTED it with rockets into Israel, who find it no less unbearable. So with all due respect, you need to address your people in Gaza. That may be impossible, given the repressive leadership you find yourself in, but there is no other way.
16. "Paying dearly"
deavman ,   Acco   (03.22.11)
Hamas doesn't care about the civilians that get killed because of their irresponsible behavior . On the contrary they are actually seeking this kind of tragic result so they are able to cash in with the European countries like France. They have, then, the gall to call the legitimate Israeli response "aggression" ... The world is standing on its head, and the innocent keeps paying for its blindness
17. Gee, wonder how many arabs killed in Libya, Yemen,Tunis.....
Cynic ,   USA   (03.22.11)
18. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.22.11)
You are preaching to the choir. Take up your issues with your so-called "leadership." Good luck with that one, by the way.
19. #1 - aren't they "children" when you put them in harm's way?
William ,   Israel   (03.22.11)
Or are they "martyrs for the Palestinian cause"? Funny how your terminology for the same person changes based on situation and necessity.... kind of like when you call slitting an infant's throat while she slept "self-defense".
20. #11 - I hear Ukraine is nice this time of year
William ,   Israel   (03.22.11)
but seriously, if you're upset with your life in Gaza, then why not join the protests against Hamas. Remember them? They're the ones who gave up your future potential for a war against Israel instead, and spent all of your money on rockets and explosives rather than building factories and supporting a local economy. Sorry you can't deal with life there anymore but you're complaining to the wrong audience. You need to knock on Haniyeh's door.....and if you plan on doing that, let me be the first to say "it was nice knowing you"
21. #13 the pretty old joke
observer ,   Egypt   (03.22.11)
but Israel can't put down its weapons which unlike the Arabs' are tooooo many.
22. Israel's discriminatory apartheid except in Gaza
observer ,   Egypt   (03.22.11)
Israel’s firing of artillery shelling from tanks into densely populated civilian areas in Gaza amounts to indiscriminate attacks. The 155mm artillery shells inflict blast and fragmentation damage up to 300 meters away. Israel violates the prohibition under the laws of war against indiscriminate attacks.
23. 50 kassams on Saturday morning
Eddie ,   london UK   (03.22.11)
And they expect no response? If no kassams were fired in the last week, there would have been no casualties.
24. observer is really not... just blind to truth
every time u ,   write propaganda!   (03.22.11)
25. #22; observer, Sorry it won't fly
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.22.11)
The fact is if you launch an attack, store weapons, have rocket factories and command and control headquarters in residential areas they become legitimate targets, period. Otherwise your saying the Pals can launch rockets or mortars from a safe zone (a residential neighborhood). Sorry Bud, it doesn't work that way. Hamas isn't suppose to use their population as "Human Shields" it's a "war crime". But they do, so blame Hamas. There are NO safe zones to attack civilian targets. During operation "Cast Lead" Hamas was caught using residential houses, Hospitals, Schools and Mosques all to store weapons and house fighters. They used Ambulances (a violation of International Law), to transport fighters and weapons around town. So save the cry me a river crap, because that's all it is. The only discriminatory policy is the Arabs get a pass on violating all the rules of war. Why? Because they call it resistance? Their euphemism for war, terror and murder. Nobody wants to hear your selective and Hollow Indignation. Your problem is with Hamas and their illegal tactics.
26. #23 Eddie in London
Jeff, Ex-Marine ,   San Diego, US   (03.22.11)
Hiya Eddie, After this latest slaughter of innocent children, I'm sure I speak for many when I say the kill ratio between the world's 4th most powerful army and refugees needs to be more balanced. I for one am pretty sick and tired of right wing Israelis, settlers and psychotics in the IDF yelling towards the heavens "oh the terror! Why do they hate us Lord?" while they stab, decapitate, bulldoze, detain, evict and torture those who want nothing more than an end to the occupation. So please refrain from adopting 'the scream' pose. I completely understand why the Palestinians are launching firecrackers instead of roses.
27. kids hurt by tank fire
observer ,   Egypt   (03.22.11)
Where do kids play in populated area? exactly!, they where hit by tank fire while playing in a house yard injuring 13. Four of the same family were killed; 12, 16 and 17 and 58-year-old owner of the house. human shields? the many security men- hiding behind those SETTLER civilians- use them as human shields by Israel's own standard. Hamas attacks from civilian areas isn't justification.
28. #26 To be lectured by an ex-marine
Yossef   (03.22.11)
that is a must !
29. certainly
observer ,   Egypt   (03.22.11)
IDF tanks returned fire from IN FRONT OF civilians.
30. "Palestinian sources said...."
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.22.11)
Sorry the story is from bad sources, and proven liars as we see HERE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_B1H-1opys The story must taken with skepticism, because of the first sentence in the story, which I used as my title to this post. You have no idea what happened, the source is from proven liars. I stand by my first post. In any event, people die in war, since Hamas provokes the war they suffer the consequences. It can stop anytime, it's strictly up to the Arabs, they so far. have chosen war. So they will suffer the consequences. All the IDF can do is try to minimize that. Frankly, the IDF cares more about the Arab civilians than Hamas does.
