The UNHRC has spurng into action to condemn Israel on anything they can find. Hamas is ratcheting up the tension in Gaza in order to deflect any criticism against Syria as the regime butchers its opponents. The UN has been the cause of most of the worlds bloodshed, by protecting the dictators of the world. Serving the UN with distinction implies no morals. You are judged by the company you keep

The reason all these leaders end up going is because they use the wrong tactics. Instead of using bully boy tactics and replying to protests with violence they should have made diplomatic gestures say lets talk, tell me your problems and we can talk about reforms. Everybody cheers and goes home, Assad then sets up commissions etc but he never does anything but make a few reforms which will allow him to survive short term and then talk about the long term and just keep investigating these reforms but never actually doing anything. Assad of all people should remember that he lives in a region ruled by jihad and you kill a protestor they become a martyr and others come out. In Egypt it started with a few people and the more Mubarak cracked down on them the more came. If Assad is smart he will cut all internet and jam all cellphones and make some gestures about reform but first there must be calm.
