Julie ,   Israel   (04.03.11)
always looking for ways to make our soldiers look bad. Always putting forth the anti-Israel, pro-Arab cause. Kudos to our soldiers calling a spade a spade.

LION OF ZION   (04.03.11)
Israeli's best and bravest. Of'Course they are been proven they fight like Lion of Zion. G D bless the IDF forever & ever
6. leftist always on the wrong side
glaser ,   Cesarea Israel   (04.03.11)
I did not see the leftists rally in the arabs villages against the Itamar murders or the Jerusalem bombing. We are in war and when a country is at war to take the defense of the other side is to be a traitor. You leftists all over the world were always on the wrong side and you always did protect dictators when you were sure to be and defend freedom: Communism,Russia,Cuba,Vietnam,China,etc... you did always rally for the dictators but today what you do not understand is that you are putting Jewish life at risk but it looks like you do not care or you will do anything even risk the existence of an entire nation to want to prove that you are right. Just look back at the history YOU ARE WRONG
7. Respect
Ethan Schwartz ,   Eilat   (04.03.11)
You don't need to be a genius to know how far it is from treating Arabs like this to treating your own people the same way. This is how our society is being poisoned by the occupation..
8. Leftists can go live with with arabs in jordan
Aleesa ,   Hedera   (04.03.11)
Leftists Protesting Checkpoint to keep rocks from being thrown! Why protest wait until they get hit by rock whould still protest the checkpoint Hypocrites
9. Would they like to deal with Syrian troops instead?
Rachel ,   US   (04.03.11)
10. Staged protests and shame
Laura J. ,   USA   (04.03.11)
These protests are staged for one purpose. To make the IDF look bad. The "protesters" are coached in ways to make the soldiers angry and lose control so they can catch them on the conveniently placed video cameras. Should the soldiers refuse to be provoked? Of course. But how many young men in any situation like this anywhere in the world would have even the self-control that these soldiers do in the face of their own people that they're risking their lives to protect spitting on them and facilitating their enemies to throw rocks at them. Shame on Ynet for pandering to this manufactured "news!"
11. give the soldiers awards
Ilan Rubin ,   New York, USA   (04.03.11)
Once again we see how human and tolerate the Israeli soldiers are. Everywhere else in the world the soldiers would have opened fire. Next time they should use tear gas.
12. Unprofessional
Naor ,   USA   (04.03.11)
These soldiers behaved in an unprofessional manner and need to be disciplined. With that said, when an Israeli soldier tells you to do something you DO it. I don't care if your an Arab or a Left/Right Jew.
13. Training to keep silent.Coldly silent.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (04.03.11)
Israeli soldiers must be trained to do their excelent job in silence. Emotions are a trap when dealing with devils ,for they use that against us. Remember:do your excelent job in silence! Let them shout and react as much as they want- soldiers must keep silent while performing their job!
14. Thank you Ynet ( to# 1 Julie)
Ariel ,   Tel Aviv   (04.03.11)
Why??? The video is fake? I don't want to imagine what could happened if there were no cameras filming...
15. To#1
Ariel ,   Tel Aviv   (04.03.11)
I also don't like the video , but thanks G-D we live in a democracy.
16. Beit Ommar: provocative "protesters"
LEX ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.03.11)
There is *no* lead up to the skirmish in this video - however, it seems all too clear that these "protesters" were in fact provoking a fight, and deliberately being confrontational and disrespectful to the assigned military personnel - ignoring their directives telling them to leave the area. Also, as if no other military or law enforcement officers in other areas of the world ever yelled at or used force to get obtrusive and belligerent people away from their operations?!...All of Israel and the IDF are held to an impossible and double standard. The real outrage here is that these "Sheik Jarach" ilk have the nerve to directly interfere with a security operation, and try and keep IDF personnel from doing their job and maintaining safety. It is the SJ provocateurs who were endangering the soldiers, all nearby residents, and themselves. They're not about protecting democracy, their aim is to try and chip away and destroy Israel!
17. Protesters Got What They Deserved
David ,   Montpelier, USA   (04.03.11)
These protesters got what they deserved. Good work IDF!
18. Dear leftists.
Ephraim   (04.03.11)
Welcome to being treated as a settler.
19. I think it shows that leftists aren't scared of the soldiers
Carrie ,   NYC, USA   (04.03.11)
Do you think if the leftists were truly scared of the soldiers, they would be getting in the soldiers' faces and shoving them? The leftists were provoking the soldiers precisely because they are NOT scared of them at all, and know the soldiers won't do more than shove them and say some nasty words. People who are scared of soldiers don't get up in their faces. This is just basic common sense.
20. For every one of these videos....
William ,   Israel   (04.03.11)
I can show you atleast 10 of Leftists doing the same to IDF soldiers. Call me next time, I'll let you film me kicking the crap out of a self-righteous pion Leftists. I'll even bring the camera!
21. Funny, no checkpoint BEFORE they threw rocks
William ,   Israel   (04.03.11)
Wonder if the village elders, and the ideological brain-dead who came to their "rescue" like Assaf Sharon, can make that connection. After that, we can show them how the security wall was a result from "Palestinian" terrorism and violence, and wasn't around in 1999. Need to work up slowly. We're not dealing with the shiniest pot in the pantry.
22. Shame on you Ynet!
Observer 1 ,   Chrangbegbo, Ghana   (04.03.11)
Always on the lookout for anything that could make IDF appear in the negative picture. How you guys manage to sleep at night with such hatred inside you baffles me.
23. What's new?
Robert ,   Brisbane Australia   (04.03.11)
If that's how they behave with their own nationals imagine the treatment they mete out to Palestinians.
24. Soldiers should be disciplined
Aharon   (04.03.11)
To all the posters justifying: believe it or not, the law applies even to soldiers. They apparently had no legal authority for their actions, clamping down violently on what was clearly a peaceful protest.
25. This is the result of our government being soft
Yechiel ,   Israel   (04.03.11)
If the government would stop doing what is illogical - trying to make friends with the people who want to kill us, the soldiers would not be forced to be "the bad guys." I can't imagine how much stress is on these guys. One day Barak makes them go into Jewish communities and harrass their own people, the next this.
26. Activists ?
Jennie ,   US/Israel   (04.03.11)
How ironic is it, when an article begins with a description of what and how the author wants the reader to "see" the situation he describes...A video clip showing IDF soldiers cursing and beating protesters...Sound bad, isn't it? But where is the prelude/the cause of such an effect, Mr.Altman? How long can IDF tolerate the destruction of their country from within by the lunatic wild leftists ? If they don't get it yet, they should be incurraged to leave Israel to any other "better" country in the world. It is time to treat them as traitors and expell them the heck out of Israel...They should go and demonstrate against Israel in any of the countries surrounding Israel, but best get the heck out of the way of those who want Israel to remain is it was created for - Nation Home of the Jewish People and so far, the only Democracy in the Middle East...
27. #1 you don't need ynet to tell or show us the idf does a
abdalla ,   plantation   (04.03.11)
great job doing that itself
28. When I was a kid...
Zev Nadler ,   Scottsdale AZ   (04.03.11)
...growing up in Southfield Michigan in the good ole US of A, I would'a listened to a cop if he told me to move along else I'd get a wood shampoo with a 2x4 upside my head. Provoking soldiers is just stupid. Walk away or you will get shoved off...a bit too gingerly by these soldiers in my opinion.
29. Agitate a soldier in Israel, this is what you get
Jake ,   USA   (04.03.11)
I dont support the violence, but these soldiers are doing their job, setting up a check point in a military controlled territory - agitate them and you won't get away with it - anywhere (not just in Israel).
30. To julie 1#
Jorge ,   D.C.   (04.03.11)
really, you are proud of the actions of the soldiers in this video. IF you believe that soldiers have the right to be above the law then be my guest, but then don't blame other Jews objecting to the end of democracy in Israel. Welcome to Lieberman Israel, the land where each one does what is good in his own eyes (quote from the book of Joshuah)
