31. Funny how ..
Eli B. ,   Haifa, Israel   (04.04.11)
the only two sources reporting this "story" are Ynetnews & the Tehran Times - citing an interview in an Egyptian newspaper .. that doesn't exist. enjoy :)
32. #3 Sarah B.S, U.S.A. / Israel
Marco ,   Spain   (04.04.11)

33. #12 don't be like that (nod wink) the reason this ....
Sally Forth ,   Jerusalem   (04.04.11)
Jew hating Arab got the job as chief of the IAEA is to prove that Jews really don't run the world! See even ElBaradei is useful to us!
34. One more pathetic arab country
David ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
Funny, people were actually hopeful that Egypt might turn into a civilized country. It probably would have been better if they had left Mubarak in place. These people are hopeless. The best you can do is have a reliable dictator rule them.
35. Is this really a threat? Open Rafah crossing and then
leo ,   usa   (04.04.11)
try to stop all this traffic going West-SouthWest.
36. A trustworthy peace partner?
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (04.04.11)
This the arab way to respect a peace treaty or any type of agreement.
37. This clown
Abed ,   Nazareth, Israel   (04.04.11)
doesn't seem to understand that if he puts his military into the Sinai or Gaza that it will constitute a nullfication of the Camp David accords. That would mean that not only would Israel have the right to reoccupy the Sinai, but that American aid will trickle to Zero. Have fun with that one!
38. hmmmm... who needs Goldstone any more?
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.04.11)
39. DOUBLE FACED EL BARADEI
PFK OU ,   USA   (04.04.11)
BETTER WATCH YOUR POSTERIOR!!!
40. Peace Treatys & Covenants & Trust
Boris Yasdnilkov ,   Fernandina Beach, US   (04.04.11)
It appears that the worthless peace treatys or covenants made by Israel with Egypt and/or other nations seeking to destroy Jews represent misplaced trust. Stay strong Israel; trust YHWH and seek His counsel. It is inevitable that the current chaos in the middle east will result in total war. Many American citizens support Israel and are working hard to see that Obama is voted out of office in 2012. The world does not need Obama or another Jimmy Carter sitting in the White House when the final battle begins.
41. WHY DOESN'T HE OPEN THE CROSSING NOW
HAL TRIPP ,   LA PAZ, BOLIVIA   (04.04.11)
BECAUSE HE NEEDS HAMAS THERE TO KEEP ONE MILLION GAZA MUSLIMS FROM MOVING TO CAIRO AND JOINING THE 30 PERCENT UNEMPOYED THERE.
42. same old same old
alexi   (04.04.11)
same old stuff from nasser and now baradei with threats. baradei-we are not olmert and beilin, 2 cowards. Egypt is important. Dont's threaten us as we will defend ourselves to the last man. We have had respectful relations, don't screw it up supporting the brotherhood in gaza which is rotten to the core. You screwed around with the iran file and gave cover to them. Don't raise one word against us. And if gaza is provoking and war comes, we will attack it whatever you do. We are not olmert and beilin.
43. What a piece of work..
RJK ,   Vancouver, Canada   (04.04.11)
this one is. He is the very same individual who stumbled over the state of current Nuclear capabilty in Iran. Now, if he becomes leader of the largest country bordering Israel, he says he will not hesitate in opening a war with her. Is he sane? He is a contradiction walking. It seems the more militant these individuals are in their desire to win public support, the more they are welcomed by the masses. Have they any conception of what they will be unleashing should they follow the road they are on? It is hoped they will come to their senses sooner rather than later. Sounding off to the masses is one thing....following up is something different entirely. He is not to be trusted on iota.
44. this could be the end of israel
egyptian ,   egypt   (04.04.11)
45. #3 Israel has been breaching the treaty for long time
observer ,   Egypt   (04.04.11)
peace talk with Palestinians and Syrians is an integral part of the treaty. It is only question of who have been stalling the negotiation; settlers?
46. el baradei --who cares!
moron ,   galut   (04.04.11)
there are many other more popular politicians in egypt--of course they too would have shot sadat
47. THE "NEW" EGYPT
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.04.11)
Muslim Brotherhood wants to institute "Modesty Police", sort of reminiscent of Iran & Saudi Arabia, next step Burkha’s for the unlucky women El Baradei was blind when it came to detecting Iranian nuclear sites, Lo and behold after he left the job, These same sites became apparent when new eyes looked for and found them Dollars to Pitot, El Baradei is still on the Iranian payroll
48. Relationships
shuvat ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
The ancient Hebrews and the ancient Egyptians had very good relationships minus the exodus myth, what happened? Oh I guess people change.
49. Baradei, good start in cleaning up Mubarak's mess
Nour ,   One-State   (04.04.11)
But please, prove you are sincere and open the Rafah crossing completely, immediately, and unconditionally! Let's see if those Bozos in Tel Aviv have the nerve to attack 23 countries?
50. ElBaradei
Sam M ,   UK   (04.04.11)
It's obvious why this little toe rag is making threats against Israel because that's what you need to do in order to win popular appeal in an arab country. In fact he was recently stoned by jihadist nutters in cairo so realises he has a mountain to climb to appeal to the 'shabab' and other primitive sections of egyptian society. He's attempting to change his image from the 'cultured professor' mixing with the 'intelligensia' in vienna and therefore unelectable to a rabble rouser and demagogue appealing to the anti-semitic blood lust prevalent across the region. This old fool doesn't realise how vulnerable the egyptian army will be crossing the large expanse of the sinai nor the consequences for the peace treaty with israel If he breaks the 'peace treaty'. Israel will be well within it's rights to retain any captured territory.
51. #29; Atrash, Your remarks are what..
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.04.11)
Is it true that most Egyptians feel as you do? Lets hear from the Egyptians. Is it true you want a war with Israel? Is that what this so called revolution for freedom was about? Freedom to attack Israel, that's all you care about? Bizarre to say the least? But if you want your country turned to rubble, and the Sinai back in Israel's hands go for it! Sad that you care only about Israel, not fixing your own country.
52. poor egypt
gr ,   ashkelon   (04.04.11)
With candidates like that Egypt needs no enemies! Instead of trying to improve the dire misery of Egyptian society this man focuses on Pal-Israel problems? When will Arab "leaders" learn to be real leaders and improve their people's livelihood?
53. Opening the crossings in time of war on civilians is NOT
observer ,   Egypt   (04.04.11)
against the Camp David accord. But, Opening the crossings is certainly with the jus cogens which supersedes any law.
54. Didn't they remember the end of the sixties?
David ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
They have short term memory!!!! Bye bye peace agreement, and at the same time, it will allow Israel to re-Annex the southern region, Gaza and Sinaii!!!
55. Great - Open the border with Egypt
Zev ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
So the Gazans will have where to run.
56. 51 - No this is not what this is about, it is about
Atrash ,   Cairo   (04.04.11)
bringing a reprehensive and democratic government to Egypt. Mubarak did not represent our interests, he sold us to the west. The peace with Israel does not serve Egyptian interests and our policy toward Gaza is incorrect. Do not threaten us, the so called peace came about after 1973. Ask your commanders who won that war, if they are true and honest, you will not like their answer.
57. from where you get it? MEMRI?
observer ,   Egypt   (04.04.11)
he said when he is elected president, he will open the crossings of besieged Gaza.
58. #55 No, it is mostly the opposite way crossing
observer ,   Egypt   (04.04.11)
I'll be there sooooooon.
59. Who would have thought
zionist forever   (04.04.11)
IF ISRAEL ATTACKED GAZA WE WOULD DECLARE WAR AGAINST THE ZIONIST REGIME I WILL OPEN THE RAFFAH BORDER CROSSING AND WILL CONSIDER DIFFERENT WAYS TO IMPLEMENT THE JOINT ARAB DEFENSE AGREEMENT. Who would have thought this is the same man who won the Nobel Peace Prize? El Baradei is the unofficial Muslim Brotherhood candidate they have been backing him from the start. The MB have said they will put up candidates for the parliament but not the presidency . the only logical reason for that is they have El Baradei as their unofficial candidate try get a backdoor victory for the MB. and his what sound like hardline socialist policies are likely to create more hostility towards Israel than there already is. Socialist governments are more unstable and the politicians need outside sources to blame when the economy is a mess.
60. I nominate
moshe ,   no consequence,usa   (04.04.11)
the honest, forthright, ethical, prinipled El Baradei to be Obama's domestic advisor. He'll show our incompetent Community Organizer how to get this redistribution gimmick "off the ground." Go El Baradei!
