The addition of Iron Dome this week means that their capabilities are slightly diminished. They can fire rockets, but out of the ones which come towards towns some will be intercepted. Even though only a minority of rockets can be intercepted, this is still a groundbreaking achievement and will set the stage for further improvements. It has also irrevocably changed the balance of power (to a degree) in Southern Israel.
