31. For Once I Agree With Mr. al-Zahar
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.28.11)
Our Unity More Important Than "Peace Process ".
32. Why seek anything from them?
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.28.11)
That's just daffy. May as well go clubbing with a lovely seal.
33. Peace not on "palestinians" agenda: good to know!
(04.28.11)
If they don't want peace, then nobody will blame us when we kick their "unified" @sses if they keep on terrorizing and butchering our citizens, eh? After all, if there is no peace then it's war. And if they're asking for war, they'll surely get plenty.
34. #17 you must be really stoned if you believe that.
(04.28.11)
Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. And they already missed this one too, when they declared that "peace with Israel is not on their agenda".
35. Hamas & Fatah Peace
Daniel Shir ,   Hallandale Beach USA   (04.28.11)
Although I do hope for peace on both sides and no more killings; I still have a feeling that this new found love between the Palestinian fractions will not last more than one month before they once again begin killing each other. It was not Israel that separated them and it is not their hatred for Israel that they can use to blame their continued division on.... the only way they will last is to come together, and both recognize Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. However, I feel that Hamas has other plans.
36. The Palestinians Blow it Again!
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (04.28.11)
Hamas' statement says it all and once again, the Palestinians never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. How pathetic!
37. East and North Jerusalem is populated
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (04.28.11)
by about 285,000 Arabs and 220,000 Jews. So when "liberation" of Jerusalem is called for, it sounds like what they mean is a "Judenrein" Jerusalem.
38. Man Plaestine has just divorced itself from the peace proces
John ,   SA/USA   (04.28.11)
If Israel elections were held today Netanayhu would win reelection. I guess there will be many more dark years ahead for the middle east situation. Hamas just took over the whole of Palestine.
39. NO PEACE NEGOTIATIONS? Of course
Israeli 2   (04.28.11)
NOT! They want war. They are waiting only for complete and total destruction of their own so that they get more sympathy and money.
40. This Is News Because . . . ? ? ?
emanon ,   USA   (04.28.11)
41. Until hamas & Fatah get serious about peace
Ovadyah ,   Hales   (04.28.11)
there will be continued Conflict- And because of the bitterness and hate they have locked themselves out of that process...the Prophets of old were absolutely Correct - ovadyah
42. #16 Correct!
Maurice ,   Montreal   (04.28.11)
This is all political posturing that will soon backfire. There is no way that the fundementalist Hamas will compromise with the secular Fatah. It will be veeeery interesting to watch just where this unlikely "union" will lead. Most probably to nothing but "deja vu".
43. Peace fantasy
Brod ,   USA   (04.28.11)
Peace talk with the dark forces-Hamas, Fatah, and the rest of the scoundrels is the creation of fools. It exists only in fantasyland of fools.
44. The Palis are to blame for their situation. They've always
realist   (04.28.11)
made wrong decisions and they are continue to do so.
45. hamas will neutralise fatah
(04.28.11)
slowly, surely and silently
46. @17
Michael ,   Denmark   (04.28.11)
Israel wasn't "created". It was re-established. And it wasn't re-established in a country called "Palestine", so give it up, there is nothing to "free".
47. Oh you Arab boneheads, you stumble again!
Cameron ,   USA   (04.28.11)
Hamas is the kiss of death for any Palestinian state coming about in the next few years. What a miscalculation!
48. Absurd as it get
MnEd ,   USA   (04.28.11)
Let me get this straight. First, the Turkish foreign minister congratulates Abbas on reaching this agreement between Fatah and Hamas; second, Hamas immediately denounces Israel and clearly points out it has no interest in Israel existing; and third, the Europeans, US, and most of the world believe Israel has a “peace partner” in Fatah. So, if A = B = C means A = C, then Israel is supposed to negotiate with a “partner” who does not believe/accept its fundamental right to exist, let alone enter into various compromises (i.e., negotiate). Am I missing something? Is the entire world smoking and inhaling? How can any sane individual or country not see the absurdity of this situation.
49. Hamas is honest,Israel is stupid
Marcel ,   Florida   (04.28.11)
Israel had the chance to defeat Hamas but instead chose to please Washington and retreat.
50. the ignorance of these people is
Barney ,   USA   (04.28.11)
without bounds. Delusions of grandeur. With their blood they will support their"cause"
51. Unity is usually a good thing
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.28.11)
when done between positive elements mistakenly divided, but when evil unites it just expedites its destruction. Israel should not only annex all land, but prepare for war against the spread of the Islamic surrounding the Holy Land. Anybody who says Jewish prophecy is false, explain than the reestablishment of Jews in Israel after 2,000 years, the impossibility of peace and the fact that the Arabs are poised for a massive takeover and attack against Israel with a temporary alliance with the West. Never thought it was true, think again.
52. Stop Netanyahu
Alexandre Chinovich   (04.28.11)
What concessions is Netanyahu going to announce in Washington? And to whom? Stop this progressive idiotism! Now, if they send qassams and grads from Gaza we must bomb Ramallah.
53. just wonder what will happened to the
ghostq   (04.28.11)
hamas men who sit in fatah prison? I think signing in the arab world means nothing.
54. they will always need money donors
JO   (04.28.11)
so essentially it is up to them if they want to fund this so call "State". It is obvious that Israel cannot, one look at Hamas's Charter shows it to be an enemy of Israel not to mention it's history of suicide bombings in buses, restaurants, etc. So whatever "State" that comes out of this will never be recognized by Israel and will falter ( I mean come on, have you looked at the size of this country (Israel is the size of Wales-divide it into two and see how it goes) "Palestine" has no money of it's own.
55. Very simple : no peace talks = no "end of occupation".
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (04.28.11)
56. Just because you dress a monkey in a suit.......
JR ,   Israel   (04.28.11)
Does not make him human. Terrorists in a suit are still gorilla warriors.
57. #53 Correct. The word of an Arab is worth nothing.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (04.28.11)
Assad made a big fanfare about lifting the 40 years state of emergence and it meant nothing. Qadaffi said he was withdrawing his troops from Misurata and the tribes would would carry on the fight. That too was a lie. That is their true nature...being strangers to the truth.
58. Arabs has no right for israel
alfred ,   Israel   (04.28.11)
only jews have the right to the land of israel because God gave them long before there was a muslim so why you speaking nonsense thing about ocuppation
59. Hamas is honest and up front.
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (04.28.11)
Hamas dont even pretend to want to live in peace, and now Abu Marzen is to join up with them. So it can only mean that there really is no partner for peace, pity because up till now I had thought there was.
60. arabs has no rights for israel
hendrikus VANHASSELT ,   australia   (04.28.11)
dear oh dear, alfred what will you do when you find out there is no god, give the land back? you silly boy israelis have every right to a land of their own, it was paid for by 6 million human beings. Where was god then? The arabs too have rights, you are all semites You are of the one family it is only the poison of religion that creates your strife. Imagine no religion no rivers of blood throughout history. No crusades no suicide bombers no delusion what a wonderful world it would be.
