31. hamas and israel
rodolfo ,   philippines   (05.01.11)
I think this will not happen because Israel will do everything so that this could not be materialized.Remember they are the country grabber and a grabber will do everything to keep its prize.Poor Hamas to believe the sincerity of the israelites.
32. End of the world is near
rodolfo ,   philippines   (05.01.11)
Remember the Bible in Revelation that when all nation will agree for peace then the end will come.
33. al-Masri - another "Palestinian" who's roots are... Egyptian
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.01.11)
The name "al-Masri" really means "the Egyptian". Like many who have adopted a Palestinian identity, his family roots are elsewhere. Edward Said, as another prominent example, was born and raised in Egypt, but claimed to be from Jerusalem based on a limited time spent there as a child. No, not all Palestinians trace their roots to what is today Jordan. Rather they come from all over the Middle East, from the Maghreb to Iraq, and their family names often make that evident. As to his claims, anyone who claims Hamas is interested in peace with Israel is either a liar or a fool.
34. #11 Hamas is a terrorist entity. Period..
Frank ,   USA   (05.01.11)
America will never negotiate with al-Qaida and Israel should never negotiate with those who indiscriminately fire their rockets at the Israeli civilian centers with an intention to kill as many innocent people as they can. The fact that Hamas must be eliminated cannot even be questioned. Your implication that Hamas may commence the terrorist activities in Tel Aviv or other areas of Israel speaks volumes about the mindset of the children of Ishmael. You need to remember, the Jews survived the Holocaust and in 60 years despite all odds, pain and devastation went on to build one of the most prosperous countries in this world. Do you think you can scare the Jews with terror? Please remember who provides your miserable, terrorist entity of Hamastan with electricity, water, food or medical care.
35. Misleading headline does damage to Israel
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (05.01.11)
The editors at Yediot better have a look at what their doing. This headline implies that 'Hamas' itself said it is ready to make a Peace agreement with Israel. The article says one individual who is not a member of 'Hamas' supposes what they will be willing to do. The wider world reads this article as proof of 'Hamas' moderation. Cheap headline grabbing is not responsible Journalism.
36. Rodolfo #31
Brod ,   USA   (05.01.11)
You sound more like a Papist AntiSemite. Your knowledge of History, the Holy Bible and Biblical Archaeology is zero.
37. Is there any difference?
Leon Kwalwasser ,   Santa Monica, USA   (05.01.11)
Is there any difference between Hamas and Haman or Hamas and Eichmann?
38. Hamas just Made Several Remarks...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.01.11)
The top leaders of Hamas stated all week the will not recognize Israel's right to exist, and will not negotiate with Israel. So until Hamas and all their top leadership recognize Israel right to exist, renounce all forms of terrorism now and in the future, and say, Hamas will negotiate with Israel there is nothing to talk about. Anything less, isn't credible, also they must change all schoolbooks and stop all forms of inciting hatred towards Israel and Jewish people. Peace comes from the heart not a piece of paper. If they can even say the above words, certainly they are not ready for peace with Israel.
39. The billionaire comedian
JB ,   SoCal, USA   (05.01.11)
"Palestinian billionaire Munib al-Masri" works weekends at "Laffs R Us" in Gaza Strip Club on weekends as a stand-up comic. Very funny dude! He'll have you ROTFLYAO -- what a comedian!
40. Those guys are drinking the kool-aide in buckets
Quack Quack   (05.01.11)
41. The Arabs must enter negotiations WITHOUT preconditions.
Daniel ,   Los Angeles   (05.01.11)
The '67 border' ruse is a Hamas/PL publicity stunt only. The Arabs aren't ready for peace. They are still cozy in their role as 'victim'. That's why they vote for Hamas in the first place. Thanks to all in the IDF for keeping us safe.
42. Changes in Middle East
John   (05.01.11)
For sometime Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas has stood against Israel while most Arab countries continued to change away from the above. Now, Syria appears to be losing its grip in relation to Iran and Hezbollah due to uprising and civil war. It appears that Hamas has changed sides to save its neck in the Arab world.
43. Hamas
h.s.cohen ,   New York City U.S.A.   (05.01.11)
Hamas must be taken out by the IDF
44. Oh Happy Happy Day!
M. Duvduvani ,   Yokneam, Israel   (05.01.11)
Waste of electronic internet space. This is an absurd article.
45. I dont hear this coming from Khaled Mashal
zionist forever   (05.01.11)
Actions speak louder than words and so far the only actions is a speech made by a billionare. ll we have that Hamas want to talk peace then lets hear it from their leaders. Nobody in the Hamas leadership has so far gone on the record and said they want to reach a real peace agreement. Does peace talks mean they will renounce terror or will it be we will talk and everytime Israel doesn't agree to one of our demands we will shoot off a few rockets at school busses or carry our a suicide bombing? This nice little speech from the billionare
46. A peace deal without recognition of Israel as Jewish state
Ari ,   Romania Israel   (05.01.11)
is baseless. The palestinians adore to have word games. Hamas is making some statements so they can go United to theGA of the UN in september. After that any promise made will be worthless
47. Hudna means Peace
Palestinian   (05.01.11)
The new Palestinian government will be represented by technocrats independents to reach a comprehensive peace deal, Palestine at the 1967 borders. Later, Palestinians voters to elect a new government. Russians elect the club bouncer A. Lieberman from Moldova as F.M
48. Peace with Hams
cyla stern ,   Woodmere, New York   (05.01.11)
Hamas can't exist without Israel and other countries. They are so foolish to have some demands, because the goal of Hamas is to destroy Israel and to take over all land of Israel. Hamas is not doing us a favor asking for negotiation. They can ask only to improve relationship, but not to talk about peace at the present time.
49. "Hamas want peace with Israel"?
cyla stern ,   Woodmere, USA   (05.01.11)
Hamas has to accept existance of Israel, in addition, Hamas is not doing Israel a favor by willing to
50. As James Baker once said here is my #
Michael   (05.01.11)
when you want peace call me. That should be Israel's attitude. We have poverty and other societal problems that could actually be solved in short periods of time. Instead of wasting our time playing games with our enemies.
51. "Israel" DOES NOT want peace . ( end )
Salma ,   Palestine   (05.01.11)
52. #11 Dr. KM of Gaza
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.01.11)
You are fortunate to have financial backing from Mr. al-Masri since other financial resources will soon dry up. Hamas is a terrorist organization. They embrace the martyr ideology and armed resistance aka terror against Israel. Their smiling faces and business attire is just a facade and even your post includes a veiled threat. Perhaps Mr. al-Masri can help Palestinians gain financial independence from Israel. Before the intifada, over 100,000 Palestinians worked in Israel and living conditions were better. It's your own self-destructive behavior that brought you to a low point. Peace is counter to the Hamas Charter and Hamas is still accountable to their handlers in Iran.
53. comprehensive peace OR Hudna
Ovadyah ,   Hales   (05.01.11)
Re write your charter expressing Israels right to exist -stop ALL Terror activities... My Guess is you won't .... the only peace you are interested in Is HUDNA ...So once you achieve statehood you will contintinue your march to your stated goal of pushing Israel into the sea.... PROVE ME WRONG
54. 1967 Borders
dshap ,   Miami, USA   (05.01.11)
Actually, there NEVER were 1967 borders. The 1967 "green line" were not borders, but ARMISTICE lines. This is the problem... The Arab propaganda machine has been successful in changing the truth by repeating lies often enough that people believe their representations as truth. Simply, most people are not educated sufficiently on the subject and have no interest in actually verifying what they read in the press or online. Too bad. They would learn how the Arab world has been abusing Jews and lying to the world for over 3000 years. These people can not be trusted to do anything other than continue to commit murder and other atrocities against humanity.
55. Peace is strange world to Israel...

57. NO 52 ACCUATION
DR K M ,   GAZA   (05.01.11)
PLZ STOP accuse me and classify according to your morality and subconscious. Even i am unbiased , i am not hamas nor fatah, but i am still palestinian crowned by patriotism surrounded by pragmatism. i wish peace for all to ismael's and jacob's sons. try to listen to hamas as you listened deafly to fatah. peace to be achieved needs a sort of realistic attitude . believe me you'll never get security without peace and exactlya justice peace. israel no doubt is strong but so far. we are weak but so far. we have no thing to loose . we can wait for ever and until the day of judgment Free peace is out of our mentality as well as our morality Do as you want to be done by please. provide a reasonable and productive bargain and you 'll find the reactive partner. otherwise ages to come are waiting for this unstoppable conflect
58. Re #47-Hudna means PAUSE in the battle to .....
Ovadyah ,   Hales   (05.01.11)
