61. #3 - did Irgun and Stern gang blow up buses, children?
William ,   Israel   (05.10.11)
Not at all. Yet you call them terrorists when they targeted the oppressive British forces and attacked armed Arabs. One thing that Hamas hasn't done that Irgun and Stern has done - end all attacks once Israel was re-established and became statesmen. Hamas could take that route too. Arafat tried but failed because in his heart he was always a terrorist. Truth be told, while Irgun and Stern was born because of the British refusal to protect Jews from Arab massacres, Hamas, Fatah, and others are targeted civilians and want to ethnically cleanse the region of Jews - big difference.
62. #4 - not true - Gaza was to be part of Israel
William Geller ,   Israel   (05.10.11)
and Gush Katif was Jewish land for many centuries. Haniyeh and Mashaal admitted that and reveled in the power of Hamas to evict Jews from their own land.
63. The Arab League is the reason peace doesn't exist in ME
William ,   Israel   (05.10.11)
It was the Arab League who announced they would kill so many Jews in 1948 that "their blood would flow through the streets like a river" It was the Arab League who issued the 3 NOs in Khartoum when Israel offered land for peace in 1967! It was the Arab League who continually butts their nose into Arab internal affairs, and makes movement impossible because of the inter-tribal squabbles that make consensus unattainable. It was the Arab league that sees atrocity after atrocity in the Arab world, at the hands of Arabs, and does nothing as civilians pay the price. Infact, I've heard quite a few "Palestinians" who decry external meddling because they always pay the price. So true!
64.  Looks like will be taking Sinai

J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (05.10.11)
With a name like that he has to prove himself as holier than the Muslim pope.
70. a nuclear egypt soon
mohamed ,   cairo   (05.10.11)
once Moussa will be in the seat of president, we will launch campaigns on Facebook and elsewhere to get their millions in the streets of Cairo and asked to create a nuclear deterrent against Israel. we have the right skills and techniques , we're now democratic, nobody can stop us
71. He is NOT stupid
bob96 ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (05.10.11)
Amr Moussa is certainly despicable, but he's no stupid. He doesn't have a political party behind him, and rests only in his positive image among Egypt's ignorant masses. So, he plays the only card he has: hate to Israel and USA, to keep being popular. Once he's president, he'll have no choice but to make coalitions, and the strongest group in Parliament will be - guess who? The Muslim Brotherhood. So, you don't need a crystal ball to guess where Egypt will be heading. Thanks, Obama! Yo made it possible.
72. That's ok. Amr Moussa isn't really a diplomat
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (05.10.11)
The majority of countries recognize him for what he is - a clown in a suit and tie.
73. Hamas' words - 'bin Laden is holy martyr'
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (05.10.11)
how could anybody even consider hamas being terrorists? What incredibly stupid people the 'palestinians' are, there are no boiunds to their depths of utter stupidity. I thank them for this for Israel's sake. Hag same'ach Yisra'el!
74. #70;mohamed. NO YOUR NOT
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.10.11)
You idiots haven't the slightest understanding of what a democracy is, all you have is Lynch Mob Rule. If you think democracy is simply the majority gets what its wants, your a moron. A huge part of democracy is that the minority opinion is respected and protected. Something you nothing about. For you, opposition should be killed or intimidated. There really is so much more, but it's waste explaining to the likes of you and your ilk. Any true democracy respects and honors past government agreements, something your people are already trying to change. When the mob turns on you, then you'll wish you really had democracy, but it will be to late.
75. #70 - seems like a stupid use of limited resources
William ,   Israel   (05.11.11)
You can't feed or educate most of your population but you feel good about building a nuke to counter a country that isn't even threatening you? Are you that racist that you would sacrifice your own country to hurt a few Jews?? Israel never threatened you, but Egypt has threatened Israel - many times. If you need an imaginary boogie-man to make yourselves feel important, then so be it. That is basically the framework of the false notion of Arab macho hubris.
76. #53 - Arab Peace Initiative also covers only nations
William ,   Israel   (05.11.11)
it will not cover terrorist groups, essentially tying Israel's hands in hitting back at Hizbullah on Lebanese soil, Hamas on Gaza and Syrian soil, etc. This trojan horse is the same as Arafat offered through Oslo Accords (which the idiots of Israeli Left fully supported) - remain fragmented so one group can always attack Israel (and claim ignorance) then suddenly become unified when Israel hits back at the guilty terrorists.
77. #76 William - I agree
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (05.11.11)
And the palis's new trojan horse is the so-called unity govt. For e.g. Abbas assured J Street in Ramallah that "The new government will comply with my policies, and I am against terror and violence" and that his govt would satisfy demands by the Quartet re hamas. But at the same time, hamas is reported as reiterating that it will not renounce terror, recognise Israel or abide by previous agreements. Thus Abbas' words rung hollow but those JS useful idiots - and others - eagerly lapped them all up.
78. to# 70
MOHAMED   (05.11.11)
I simply said that after the new regime is stable, we the Shebab we will issue a call for creating a nuclear deterrent to the Arab countries! and I promise you that we will make this appeal within one year
79. #78; MOHAMED. NO THAT"S NOT...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (05.11.11)
What you said. Now you to change the facts. In this post #78 you say "issue a call for creating a nuclear deterrent to the Arab countries!" But in your previous post #70 your wrote something entirely different, here is what you stated: " to get their millions in the streets of Cairo and asked to create a nuclear deterrent against Israel." So now you change what you said, first it was (nuke deterrent) against "Israel" now you say against other "Arab countries". We call that "lying through omission", that's where you tell half the story, take out of context what you said, and/or replace strategic words to change the meaning of what you said. Egypt isn't in any need of a nuclear deterrent against Israel, why? Because Israel poses a zero threat against Egypt. Israel has never attacked Egypt, but Egypt Has attacked Israel. So if you truly intend to live in peace with Israel, then Egypt is under NO threat from Israel. Israel just wants to live in peace within the region, that has been Israel's stated goal since 1948. But if those millions in the streets of Cairo, that you spoke of, want a war with Israel, well that's a different story, now isn't MOHAMED? So what is it? Now that we have two versions of what you want and why? different
80. to # 78
mohamed   (05.11.11)
me too want peace with israel and continue the peace treaty with the Israeli people, but israeli politic, against Iran ( military threat against iran ), the refusal of Palestinians right to a state law, limiting prospect for peace between peoples!
