1. muslims do not use PR to' claim Jerusalem...
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (06.02.11)
..they invented mohammad, someone that has never existed(no photo to' prove it!)to justify their right to Palestine...it'a religious claim, nothing else!!!So why Israel should not use 5)3 Bible to claim is real right to it.?
2. The Palestinians have been waging a PR war for thirty years
canada ,   canada   (06.02.11)
Israel needs to learn from their methods. The old saying that in peace time the pen is mightier than the sword. They have exploited the media with photos of kids throwing stones at tanks etc. They flooded the media with made-up stories and photos taken out of context. Israel needs to take their cameras with them and post the arab behaviour every time they see it. Youtube etc make it much harder for them to get away with it as everyone has mobiles. That is why they are taking to flooding the borders and calling for shows of strength in numbers. You need to show the world your real lives. The missile sirens you have to live with, the photos of the bunkers you have to run to, the checks that have to be made under your cars. You have to show your reality. A picture is worth a thousand words.
3. Russians & Converts are offspring forever"
Jack   (06.02.11)
4. This bible is our ownership deed.
Bless Israel ,   United States   (06.02.11)
Ben Gurion was 110% correct. What we are witnessing is bible prophecy happening now. Others try every argument but the bible, and we see the old prophets words come to life. No man, or 'committee' can undo what our G-d has promised. Israel stands as a beacon of light to all who know and respect the word of G-d.
5. Everything is good
(06.02.11)
and none of Israel's actions have to be changed. The whole conflict is just about wrong "PR tactics". Israel just needs to explain everything to the world in a different way and then they will finally understand.
6. Biblical language which the world understands.
Natalie ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
Avi, the world does not speak or understand the Biblical language. If it did, things would not be as they are!
7. Bible Shmible
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (06.02.11)
What kind of country is based on a fantasy book?? Com'on guys and be serious for a while ! It's 21st century here ! The bible belongs to the shelves of bookstores
8. How about Snow white and the seven dwarfs
Haim ,   Tel aviv   (06.02.11)
Religion is a belief / faith not a fact and is not shared by all, trying to make a claim on the land based on religious beliefs is ridiculous to say the least. Saying that God is a real estate agent just dosent cut it. Christians also have an Intrest in Jerusalem, dont see them sending in the strorm troopers to claim Jerusalem as theirs.
9. This is good!!!
Manoj ,   India   (06.02.11)
If only Israel trusts their God and His word! He is waiting to do all the wonders for His people Israel, if every Israeli would pick up the word of God and show the world the boundaries promised to Abraham and Joshua by God.
10. Maybe Lord changed his mind
Paul ,   Spain   (06.02.11)

12. Jesus of Nazareth!
Chris   (06.02.11)
They don't believe in Jesus of Nazareth and deny the Bible
13. "from the river of Egypt unto ... the river Euphrates"
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (06.02.11)
"Now the LORD had said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, UNTO A LAND THAT I WILL SHOW THEE." Genesis 12:1 "In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates... and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites." Genesis 15:18-21 fight the battle in the Name of your LORD!
14. Just 2 problems
Nigel ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
First I totally agree that the Bible contains all that we need to defend the Jewish People's right to the Land. However, the 2 problems are that the Muslims claim that they are now God's (Allah's) people and that the Biblical account is wrong - because it wasn't Isaac that the blessings went to but rather Ishmael; and most of traditional Christians [wrongly] hold to a 'Replacement Theology' which states that God has rejected the Jews and now the Church is the People of God. So although the Bible does contain the answers there probably aren't that many (percentage wise) people willing to listen. BUT God will still perform His will and Israel will dwell in the Land............
15. Go back to basics
Rachel ,   US   (06.02.11)
16. I would LOVE to hear this speech coming from Ehud Barak
Bonita ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
but I would settle for hearing it from Bibi
17. We haven't tried to explain our RIGHT's under INTERNATIONAL
Time running out   (06.02.11)
LAW EITHER!!!!!!! Why are our leaders so stupid?
18. Right to the land
Geoff ,   London (UK)   (06.02.11)
The bible is useless as a historical document. Our right to the land stems from the Roman invasion when the Jews were effectively exiled from what had been an uncontentious soveriegn state. Any people that loses its land as a result of an unprovoked invasion has a right of return - no matter how much time has elapsed since the invasion.
19. #7 & #8 If we don't have a biblical right to live in Israel
American Sabrah   (06.02.11)
Then you are essentially saying that we are colonists occupying the land of the Arabs. At that point, we would be coerced to surrender Israel to the Arabs (G-d forbid) and leave.Somehow I got a feeling that the country of our origin wouldn't be hasty to give us a welcoming inauguration.Could you see Iraq or Russia giving you the red carpet treatment? Ive read your comments on previous articles and they consist of anti Israel, anti Jewish, Pro Arab rhetoric. If we haven't accepted the bible "an outdated book filled with rules that don't apply to this day in age", we wouldn't have existed as people and the nation. I find it ironic and hypocritical that self hating non believing Jews living in the land of our heritage. I presume you never read the bible either which makes you an ignoramus about Judaism rather than an expert. If you are that uncomfortable with religion mixing in the State then maybe you would feel more comfortable living in Europe where religion is null and void albeit the rampant antisemitism. There, they permit everything that the bible forbids.Look what progression did to them. Get over your Jewish guilt tripe and get a clue. Btw, paganism is more ancient than monotheism but somehow people like you would sooner embrace that kind of lifestyle that you would accept the religion that your ancestors practiced.
20. Reality Check Needed
Tom Marver ,   Mendota Heights, USA   (06.02.11)
Reality Check: There is no way to establish national boundaries based on the Bible. This makes about as much sense as giving Hobbits the Shire based on Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" and where the Brandywine River flows.
21. Haim # 8
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.02.11)
Christians have an interest in Jerusalem but no claim. The Bible makes it clear that Jerusalem belongs to the Jews forever. You and number 7 could learn a lot if you would read the Bible instead of jumping to conclusions based on your gut feelings.
22. Paul # 10
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (06.02.11)
So Paul, you are calling God a liar? Jesus was a Jew and God knew what was going to happen to his son.
23. Israel in the past made
John Prophet ,   of Light   (06.02.11)
bold moves for peace. Then why is there no peace? Because the Palistinians always said NO. Why did they always say NO? Because it was never enough. They want it all! It's time Israel united behind Netanyahu, because he knows it will never be enough till Israel is pushed into the sea. It's time for Kadima and all the peace now crowd to take off their rose colored glasses and realizes they will soon be in the fight of their lives; and that untied you shall stand, divided you WILL fall.
24. Excellent Treatise
Brod ,   USA   (06.02.11)
This is a Must Read by the Policymakers. Indeed the Bible is Israel's Land Title to the Land of Israel. Judeo-Christians around the world know the Bible and the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-the GOD of the Bible-the Truth. Know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free from the Tsunami of the dark forces.
25. Is this guy for real?!?!?
Michael Steiner ,   Bahrain   (06.02.11)
26. Right, lets go back to fairy tales, what a genius!!!
Wissam ,   Palestine   (06.02.11)
Occupation 101: Israel belligerently occupies the West Bank including East Jerusalem, and has blocked the 2-state solution by implanting 600,000 settlers onto the 22% territory that is supposed to go to Palestine. Of course, citing the same fairy tales. Time to pay the price.
27. to #10
Nigel ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
Perhaps you should read what Paul wrote in Romans chapter 11...
28. No. 8 Haim
NYC Girl   (06.02.11)
Being an atheist, I agree that this is a stupid idea. But, having said that...who the hell are you calling storm troopers?
29. THe bible is fiction, Abraham is a myth.
JMK ,   NYC   (06.02.11)
Why use proven fiction to establish the right everyone else has to live and prosper?
30. Let's use the Bible? NO! let's not!
Talula ,   Israel   (06.02.11)
It carries absolutely no weight WHATSOEVER!! What you doing to do, get God to stand up in the UN and tell them he gave us this land? Maybe get him on CNN? No-one in the world can relate to this drivel, so stop using it.
