31. For # 7, 8 from Nederlands
Yonatan ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.05.11)
Get a life and make the connection that just as you show your ancient hate for Israel, the Muslims will steal your country under your noses. No amount of "concession therapy" will appease them in their imperial goals if you do not wake up and soon. Those who "bless" Israel will be blessed...
32. Harmen #7
Steve   (06.05.11)
You say life is not always black and white. True, some things are not clearly black and white. Would I be better off buying a gas stove or an electric stove? Should I buy a Dodge or a Chrysler? These are not necessarily black and white. Other things are black and white, at least for me. Harmen, I don't know if you are a Christian or a Jew; or neither. I am a Jew. For the Christian believer's Jewish savior, he saw some things in black and white. He told his disciples, 'those who are not with me are against me'. That is "black and white." He who is not with me, is against me. That is how I see things when it comes to Israel. Either the nations are with me (Israel) or they are against me. You cannot hedge. You cannot have it both ways. So which is it? Whose side are you on? Based on our tortuous history, why should I have faith in and optimism for this world? Maybe it is as "dark" as I think it is. Maybe it is getting darker as the years go by.
33. #27. The last Palestine statehood fiasco is coming.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.05.11)
#27 Salma. Something is certainly coming. But it isn't fictional Palestine. What is coming is the last Palestine statehood fiasco. It will be a much bigger fiasco than the 1988 one. This fact is even beginning to dawn on Abbas, who is looking for a way to climb down the tree. That's why he eagerly accepted the French summit. The desperation of "Palestinians" is because they know time is on Israels side. I look forward to the last Palestine statehood fiasco. After this blows sky high, nobody will take Palestine seriously again. The joke is on "Palestinian" poseurs.
34. "Thousands of years"?
Mike ,   US   (06.06.11)
OK - I have a few questions: Can you name one Palestinian ruler, one Palestinian leader, one Palestinian president, one Palestinian prime minister, one Palestinian monarch, etc. from the 19th century or before? In what year did "Palestine" first become a sovereign country? Why did the Arabs of Hebron massacre 67 Jews in 1929 - long before there was a State of Israel? Why did Haj Amin al Husseini side with the Nazis during WWII?
35. #16 Excuse me! It will be the UN that will be guilty
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.06.11)
of inflicting “horrendous deprivation on the Palestinians” if, after careful consideration of all the factors, they choose to recognize a Pals state WITHOUT putting anything in place for the long term upkeep of that state. (1) They will be creating a state knowing full well that it cannot support itself and which indeed depends on basics from other state(s), including financing, water and electricity; (2) a state with contested borders (3) an irresponsible state comprised of factions that vehemently refuse to recognize Israel and which uses every opportunity to threaten Israel and reinforce its mission to destroy it and the Jews; (4) a state that uses maps that do not even show Israel on it, so no further proof is required to show their intention; (5) a terrorist state that is DANGEROUS and which boasts of a multitude of factions that are actively and fully occupied in attacking Israel. If you want to talk about immoral then the above shows downright immorality. I tried to find something of substance in your post but there was an acute absence…all you did was ramble on and on. Shame on you.
36. To #16
Jeffrey ,   Boston, USA   (06.06.11)
Hahaha. Radical, Marxist ideology is what now makes up the Democrat party here in the states. Sounds like you have a comfortable political home if you want to come visit. You can spend some time in the faculty lounge with Kalidi, Wright, Code Pink, Farrakhan, Jackson, etc...You know, all the people that love Israel and the Jews. If you want to help out you can track down Debbie Blabbermouth-Schultz and maybe get a job destroying the US economy with your Muslim hero Barack Hussein Obama.

FREEDOM FIGHTER ,   ERETZ-ALL OF IT!   (06.06.11)
These Nazis really don't get "NEVER AGAIN".
38. 31, Yonathan, you GOT to be kidding
Yochanan ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (06.06.11)
I already got a life, and a nice life too, thank you. BTW, have you taken the efford to read my name? Im jewish, born in Ramat Gan, so don't ever give me this crap about my ancient hate for Israel. By the way, how on earth could you ever read my post, or the one above mine, as a venting of hate for jews or Israel? Quite the contrary, I think. We were merely responding to a fine display of utter ignorance from no. 1 post. Please get real. If Israelis go about discussions concerning this extremely sensitive subject the way you do now, you'll end up being laughed at as a bunch of utter lunatics in every part of the civiliced world. And that's something you don't need, nor deserve. I agree with you on the muslim part.

Yochanan ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (06.06.11)
then perhaps I should start typing in red as well.

41. #23 NOUR - An expert on wind
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.06.11)
Without the U.S.A. funding the major portion of the UN's operations, tje IM will vanish with the wind, along with the supplies for all the Palestinian panhandlers that have been living on the cuff for more than 63 years Once American contributions are limited or ceae, the UN will fold like the rotten soufle it is You may see a change coming, then we both know you hallucinate all the time Now, what ever happened to the answers to my Easy Questions that you're so afraid to answer ?
42. Yochanan #38: Please.
Steve   (06.06.11)
You wrote: "We were merely responding to a fine display of utter ignorance from no. 1 post." Ignorance. My goodness. What did I do?
43. Yochanan #38: Couldn't help but notice.
Steve   (06.06.11)
You say you've got a life, and a nice life too, thank you in the land to which you fled from Ramat Gan. You are very happy and quite comfortable and you have a nice life. Yes, indeed you "agree with Yonathan #31 about the "Muslim part" when it comes to your comfortable life in the Netherlands. It's just that those pesky Jews whom you left behind in Israel cannot be sensible.
44. Yesterday events are sign of upcoming violence
Joseph.E ,   Givatayim/Israel   (06.06.11)

45. @37
Yochanan ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (06.06.11)
and all of a sudden we are Nazis.... You know, you don't even have a clue of what nazism is, if you equate above statements with nazism. Who are you to issue such a statement, to me, while you don't even know who I am.. You don't know what happened to my family during the war, because if you did, you wouldn't have said it, i hope. racist.
46. #27 Palestine is coming...So close, yet so far.
(06.06.11)
47. #12 ..kick out those who use to live for thousands of years
gregor ,   Hesperia   (06.06.11)
In the late 1800's Mark Twain visited Palestine and he called it the most desolate land in all the world, with no one living there, a land without vegetation. Now if these PA were supposedly living there where were they. Thats the big lie perpetuated by the world to justify the supposed right of return. In fact Palestine wasn't made viable until Jews from Europe came and toiled and tilled the land and planted and made it into what it is today. The refugee Palestinians who came came only to work the land and got jobs from those Jews. They left because the Arab neighbors told them to leave after Israel declared statehood because the Arabs were going to destroy them in the 1948 war. Fortunatlly for the state of Israel they won that war as well as every war since. The Palestinian refugees are that way because their Arab brothers have kept the that way ever since. The Palestinians could have a state if Jordan gave them the land that was supposed to be theirs in the first place. So they have no right to the land and they weren't living there for thousands of years. Wake up and check your facts and quit believing all the lies that have been going around for the past sixty years.
48. 45 Why this agressivity?
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (06.06.11)
Did you feel attacked,or what?
49. Can the legal experts tell me ....
david ,   sydney   (06.06.11)
How can the Palestinian Authority declare a state over land which they do not occupy or control and which they have never occupied or controlled?
50. #49
Jarda ,   Czech Republic   (06.06.11)
Do you know how was Israel established? You can check on UN site the ownership of land in Palestine.
51. Who's more pro-israeli?
Leo ,   UK   (06.06.11)
C'mon guys,we can't expect of other nations to be more pro-israeli then we are.Just think about it.Obama claims Israel should give up and return to pre 67 borders.A lot of americans say: "this man doesn't represent americans.we stand for Israel.we won't let them to destroy it."A couple of weeks after then several thousands of well paid "demostrators" gather in kikar rabin waving professionaly designed placards "yes we can" and all that stuff (BTW,did you had a chance to compare the quality of ad material leftists had with of those who gathered to protest in front of embassy of america? It seems obvious where the money are).So those americans who supports Israel see this demonstration. What should they think about it?So the problem is not "there".The problem is here.
52. #46 IT'S JUST A MIRAGE
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.06.11)
You can imagine Palestine, however you'll never be able to touch it, it will be moving as you try and approach it
53. Why Not? Israel Unilaterally Declared Itself A Nation.
World Citizen ,   the world   (06.06.11)
And it did it after seizing lands designated by the UN as for the indeginous population of Palestine. Go look at maps of the proposed borders put out by the UN in 1947. Palestine will be declared. Eventually the UN will have to recognize Israel as a hostile illegal occupying force. Sanctions could come. Even your friends in the US Congress won't be able to deny the apartheid nature of your occupation. Voters back in their home districts won't let them forget. It's time for Israelis to wake up and smell the coffee. It's time for change.
54. no 53 you are
gdfathermax ,   tel aviv israel   (06.06.11)
an ignorant fool. it matters not what the monkeys in the un say. palestine is a fiction sowned by defaming israel. it wont work. israel will declare the major settlements and the jordon valley part of our state. we will stop all cooperation with the palis taking away all our sevices etc. the one country in the world booming and expanding dramatically... israel.
55. To: No. 53
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.06.11)
How do you propose to create a state on the soil of a sovereign state? Israel will annex Judea and Samaria, you know. That's coming; and when it does, the Arabs squatting there will be repatriated to Jordan, country of their citizenship. They can change Jordan's name to anything they like.
56. Ignorance
Maha ,   USA   (06.06.11)
I cant believe some peoples ignorance around this commenting section! Comments such as the Palestinian people should go to Doha and share the Islamic country is just simply arrogant to the extent that I simply question the commentors intelligence. PALESTINIANS ARE NOT, I REPEAT NOT ALL MUSLIMS! Im Palestinian and I am a Christian! Get that right...
57. #53. "Palestinians" are starting to smell the coffee.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.06.11)
#53. "Palestinians" are starting to smell the coffee. They're starting to realize that a second fictional declaration of statehood won't get them a state in Israel. Nothing will. You write that Israel should fear sanctions. Israel has faced sanctions and boycotts since her establishment. Israel has one of the strongest, fastest growing economies in the world. Vast oil and gas reserves are about to supercharge Israel's economy even more. Every year, Israel grows stronger, richer and more wonderful. Palestinian statehood, on our land, will not happen. Period.
58. Haifa?
doro ,   HD, GER   (06.07.11)
apart from that I think it is complete rubbish and that I don't think after all the wars and Intifadas the Pals have a right for independent statehood when they declined in 1948 (and are Syrians or Jordanians anyway - and after 67 they should have declared statehood somewhere in Syria, Jordan or Egypt..or been absorbed by them) and that they won't behave like a 193rd UN memberstate; why is it again the capital would be Haifa? That's not even in that so called Palestine?!
59. #50
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (06.07.11)
According Article 80 of the UN Charter that would be us that own the land. Care to name a single legal claim for the Arabs? Bet you can't.
60. to nr. 53.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (06.07.11)
you certainly have a point in this case. the zionist entity/state of "israel" was established unilaterally and prematurely in 1948 by david ben-gurion while there was/is still a conflict with the palestinians (and other arabs/arab peoples). if one state has the right to declare itself a nation unilaterally and prematurely then every country and every people has the right to do so, then the palestinians also have the right to a palestinian state and the kurds also have the right to their own state (kurdistan) etc.. all people(s) are equal (in value) to eachother . there does not exist a chosen people, or a masterrace/herrenvolk, or untermenschen and uebermenschen. no exceptions and a privilege-treatment for anybody/any people. nobody/no people is under or above the law (in this world). we (every people, the entire worldpopulation/mankind) are all created equal. the words used by thomas jefferson at the declaration of independance and establishment of the usa in 1776. a beginning of universal and basic human rights in this world which are not negociable, because we hold these truths to be self-evident, prior and of influence to the universal declaration of human rights by the un in 1948.
