as far as I can tell the palestinians and the other muslims in the region are the ones who believe killing innocent people is "sanctioned by God"... I am happy to see Israel protecting its people.

Nobody knows no such thing, Jordan, Egypt & Syria attacked Israel, read the History books and stop making up such nonsense Arabs attacked Israel, they lost land as a result I DARE YO TO "PROVE" OTHERWISE These are the facts, chew on them http://www.zionism-israel.com/his/six_day_war_timeline.htm Be careful when you play with the Kangaroos, they're smarter than you are
65. #40 - one does not need to fire first to "attack"
William ,   Israel   (06.07.11)
Egypt and Syria both amassed weapons and soldiers on the border for months ahead of 6-day war. They signed a protection pact, and Egypt illegally threw the UN out of the Sinai, and illegally block the Straits of Tiran (a declaration of war already). They made broadcasts of their impending slaughter of Israelis to the world, and secret messages captured confirmed their intentions. Not to mention the 4 years prior of Syrian and Egyptian war crimes of targeting Israeli civilians constantly. Just because Israel pulled the trigger first doesn't mean Arabs didn't start the war. That part is well documented and widely accepted (except among Egyptians and Syrians). Playing the "gee, we were only kidding" excuse won't work here, buddy.
66. #41 - Egyptian MP admitted this in Egyptian Parliament
William ,   Israel   (06.07.11)
He boasted about it because he thought the Israelis would be denounced no matter what. Thanks to all the great video footage from the "activists" themselves. IDF couldn't have done a better job in proving their guilt.
67. #55 - Yes and No
William ,   Israel   (06.07.11)
Golan was part of the Syrian Administration in Ottoman times, but Syria was little more than a province of the Ottoman Empire and didn't have any defined borders. The Golan had many Jewish and Christian sites on them, and very little Arab sites leaving no doubt as to its origins. Only because of dificult negotiations between two colonial powers did the Golan become part of present-day Syria, who, by the way, committed ethnic cleansing of many Bedouins and Druze from 1923 onward, and used the Heights to attacks Jewish villages well before the re-birth of Israel. Even without Israel's existence, the Arab racism against Jews was well known even back then.

it is not about defensive or offensive war, but it is illegal for a country to continue holding territory it occupied in a WAR. the inadmissibility of territorial conquest is affirmed in the UN charter and in the international law.
70. No evidence to support accusation
Joe ,   St Louis USA   (06.07.11)
However, we do know that 100% of the Israeli militants involved in the killings were paid by the government.

Well, you have the same journalists that we have - no sources with names. Who knows, was the article simply made up?
72. Time you learned Arabic
Dr Mark Pinson ,   Phila USA   (06.09.11)
During the 8-10 years I lived and taught in Israel, I was repeated appalled by the low level of knowledge of Arabic among the Jews. I see little has improved when you write "nakSa" instead of nakBa !
73. Israel pays 300
