I just did some research myself. Turns out that this guy's daughter, Angela. was a heroin junkie at age 16, and had a baby, Stephanie, at age 17, which had to be removed from her care. After being arrested and imprisoned for repeat shoplifting, theft, and vandalism, she committed suicide while in solitary confinement...good riddance, in my opinion. Her parents proceeded to attempt to sue everyone they could for damages, claiming that he (Jim) was unemployed (obviously a local politician is the only work he is fit for) and her mother (Anne) was disabled (or some such nonsense).
