Ya'akov ,   Jerusalem   (06.28.11)
Jerusalem has been the Jewish Capital for over 3,000 years. It is the holiest city and has the temple mount which is the HOLIEST site in Judaism like Mecca and the kaba'a is to Muslims. As far as the "brutality" of the occupation, just remember who is the new-comer occupier for truthful perspective. (though I appreciate your attempt at a humanitarian response). Eretz Yisra'el has existed for nearly 4,000 years. Many nations and people have attacked us and have come and gone fro Ancient Egyptians, Assyrians, Persians, Seleucid Hellenists, Romans, Briefly Arabs, then Turkisk Ottomans (who were converted to Islam from X-tianity), then Brittish, then Arabs brought in for the investion of Jordan on 78% of Israel and then did we get to enjoy the last 22% of lour land form Jordan river to sea? No. Due to anti-semitic forces, the world forced us to stop defending ourselves and our land against who all those Arabs armies attacked in 1948 and thus the Armistice lines (cease-fire green line dividing Israel in half- which were never border lines- of 1948/49 until the liberation Judea and Samaria Somewhat from 1880's but mainly from 1920's to 1948 there was a lot of Arab immigration to the land of Israel (economic migrants looking for Jobs from Jews)then during the political occupation of Jordan and Egypt etc... they poured in more of their Arab citizens until 1967. So remember to speak from fact and context.

"would this have happened to arabs who wandered into jewish territory? ask yourselfs that...." No, not at all. Arabs wander freely throughout all of Israel. They enjoy the same rights and privileges if they are a citizen that all citizens have, despite their faith or origin. Even if they are not a citizen there is no history of random, personal violence against Arabs by Israeli citizens.
