62. Inconvenient truth
Harry ,   Toronto   (07.06.11)
whoever wrote this article reminds me of the guy who put his legs in the oven and his head in the refrigerator. On average he was comfortable. Nearly all the media talk about the massive drop in Jewish support for Obama from almost 80% at the election to 60% today . Ynet somehow manages to spin it the other way. Not good journalism at all...
63. Is this Statistically Significant?
John ,   Alaska   (07.06.11)
According to the Jewish Virtual Library, there are over 5 million Jews living in the US. Of them, 300 doesn't seem statistically significant..
64. BARACK HUSSEIN was hand-picked by SOROS
J R ,   cherry hill, nj   (07.06.11)
The Washington Post has estimated that Jews provide 60 percent of the democRAT party’s major individual contributions. The actual stat, according to a Democratic insider privy to unreleased research, puts the figure closer to 80 percent. In 2004, when so-called 527 organizations provided the biggest contributions, four Democratic donors—George Soros, Peter Lewis, Steven Bing, and the Sandler family—coughed up $73 million, more than the next 20 contributors, Republican and Democratic, combined.
65. What's the alternative?
Sam ,   NYC   (07.06.11)
Hey "americanjew", this american jew can't thank Obama enough for lowering COBRA coverage rates when I lost my job and had to pay health insurance for my family out pocket. Also, for extending the unemployment insurance to 99 weeks instead of miserly and anti-human 26 weeks. Also for keeping Medicaid safe from the right-wing fascists of the GOP and available to millions of unemployed and working families that can't make ends meet in today's capitalist America. I care about Israel but do you think I care enough to vote Republican? Not a chance.
66. #48
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (07.06.11)
Haha... How so? I don't claim to be the "Lebanese people" (Jewish State of Israel) and then commit war crimes (such as illegal occupation of Palestine).
67. If Obama puts pork on their plates by mid2012 they will lick
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.06.11)
his feet. It's too much to ask of anyone who has to navigate daily life's obstacles in any country to vote "idealisticaly",(out of Zionistic affiliations) even if that idealism is what may save their asses in the long run(their grandchlidren's for sure)! Yes they are dumb, but let's not forget: they are Americans (take it any way you want:-)
68. Obama loves Israel
John ,   New Zealand   (07.06.11)
By his own admission, Obama does everything within his power to support Israel - would he lie?
69. Response to #7
nadya ,   CA., US   (07.06.11)
Your comment is GREAT!! I couldn't have said it better myself. I've also observed that many of the articles are over-exaggerated and cater to fear mongering, sort of like Fox News.
70. Jewish Voters
Mark ,   USA   (07.06.11)
As an American Jew who is registered a Republican, I find the voting habits of U.S. Jews to be ridiculous. Most Jews are liberal first, and would vote for Hitler had run as a democrat. If Obama gets re-elected, the last few years of bullying
71. 4 - I actually think we quite smart
Dave   (07.06.11)
The alternatives the republicans offer, like Buchmen or Palin scare the living daylight out of me. So are the Israelis, look what they have elected over there. Useless demagogue that just make thins worse to his own Israeli people, as aell as the rest of the Jews.
72. obama
gwen ,   Texas, USA   (07.06.11)
well at least Texas did not vote for him and proud of it. but we just do not get the rest of the country. I am glad I stand with Israel
73. american jews have no right to cmplain or meddle in israel.
David ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.06.11)
make aliyah or shut up and live with your arab president
74. Lies, damn lies, and statistics
Joshua ,   Pittsburgh, PA USA   (07.06.11)
How can one poll give so many different interpretations? Dick Morris says disapproval numbers are rising and approval numbers are falling, and hell just froze over because even Haaretz agrees with that premise! My guess is that the independent Jewish voter is larger than you think, and he/she is being ignored. I would like to know what Jews who are registered as independents thought about the speech. Heck, I consider myself less Democratic by the day and more independent.
75. 42: Wrong number
Joshua ,   Pittsburgh, PA USA   (07.06.11)
You're confusing Clinton's share of the Jewish vote in 1992 with Obama's in 2008. Obama got 78%, not 88%, in 2008. Still, your analysis holds.
76. #56 You are so correct
Rozie   (07.06.11)
As my father, holocaust survivor would always say..."Jew have a short memory" I hope they remeber what problems Obama caused for Israel and the Jews in the USA. Jews are the MOST discriminated minority, anti-semitisim became more fasionable in the USA. Thanks to Obama. He wants to transform this country to a socialist state. Anyone is better than him...any one. I hope the American Jews will wake up before it is too late.
77. To #66
John ,   Alaska   (07.06.11)
How can you say you are not claiming to be Lebanese people? Your handle of LebanonPride is claiming to be nothing other than an advocate for the Lebanese people. As to making them look bad, your incessant anti-Semitic posts reflect poorly on the people to whom your handle refers, and of course the nonsensical nature of your posts, like this #66 reflects poorly on yourself and the people for whom you claim to advocate. As to the "Illegal" occupation of "Palestine", I have it on good authority that the last ruler of Palestine was a Jew and would be very grateful to see the day when his people returned to their home. Of course, that ruler knew "Palestine" by it's proper name of ISRAEL. There has NEVER been an independent country in the territory you misname "Palestine" except when it was called ISRAEL. And that doesn't even take into account the Scriptures that the return of the Jews to the Promised Land fulfilled.
78. Dear President Obama:
Albert ,   Norway   (07.06.11)
Grant the Palestinians their state – the same one they could have already had 63 years ago. But make their leaders take responsibility for their people’s lives. Make them clean up the terror, keep the security accords, and recognize Israel’s right to exist. Otherwise – the world will just have another terror infested state to deal with, which means more strength for Iran, and that would leave us all with a very dark picture. So before you hurry and buy a fake piece of art, make sure you know the real price you’ll end up paying for it.
79. NOT THIS JEW
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.06.11)
OR ANY GENTILES OR JEWS I KNOW.
80. Only in leftish publications
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.06.11)
the regular population of America is sick to death of Obama the treacherous traitor. He's ruined our economy, he's ruined our reputation. Like a damned spot, "be gone'.
81. the jews
gdfathermax ,   tel aviv israel   (07.06.11)
in america are rapidly losing their identity. most have no real understanding of our history. they are influenced by left wing, so called liberal views which today are totally against israel and even anti semitic. they are marring out in increasing numbers therebye their children and grandchildren will be lost to judism. both pathetic and cowardly. furtheremore when moses left egypt he took with him only 20% of the jewsh population. what happened to the rest? They disappeared over time. The writing is on the wall for american jewry. Only the haredi who support israel will survive !
82. #56 Steve, "90% of Israel's Jews believe"
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.07.11)
You are wrong with your numbers, but it matters not, really. I agree with you Israelis are different from American Jews. Israelis are Hebrews and slowly but constantly are moving away from American Jews in what they consider important, in what their life principles are. Israel works very hard to stimulate aliya from here, but it isn't effective. Sharanski's Sohnut is a waste of good money that is badly needed within Israel. True, Jewish money is still flowing to Israel, but the impartial donations are less and less. So Steve, good bye brother, second cousin, distant relative, stranger ...
