35. How does one say "chutzpah" in Turkish?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.25.11)
The audacity of Turkey's demands are quite remarkable, as is the fecklessness of an Israeli leadership that would even *think* of meeting those demands. Turkey deserves neither an apology nor compensation given Turkish involvement in the flotilla. Seen in the context of Turkish and Arabic history the demands are more understandable, if no less loathsome. Erdogan is attempting to establish Turkey as the region's preeminent country, which would make him a modern day "Porte". Israel is to accept "protected" status (dhimma) and pay for Turkey's indulgence while (in Islamic terms) being humiliated. Let Turkey go to Plan B ... or C or D for that matter. Israel must under no circumstances submit.

Go to hell with your EU. Turkey will not enter a sick, corrupt and of course a poor union that will f..... each other when one of them has trouble as they did with Greece and will do with Portugal and Italy. Keep your wasted European Union.
42. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.25.11)
Oh, you better believe that the Palmer Report is creating a great deal of anxiety in Ankara. Why else do you think Turkey has worked so hard to suppress its publication?
43. Do you know RWANDA?
Tor Gnon ,   Njamena, Chad   (07.25.11)
Well, Rwanda is the country that suffered a terrible genocide in 1994. France happened to be one of the major protagonists, to speak diplomatically. France's role there in the genoclde is far from being clear. Well, France kept meddling and meddling but TINY RWANDA surprisingly one fine morning cut every tie with France asking the french High commissioner to pack bag and baggage immediately and leave Rwanda. Guess what happened to little Rwanda? Niets! Nothing! Nitchs! Hiçbir şey! Zero!
44. This is music to my ears
Nour ,   One-State   (07.25.11)
A healthy relationship between Turkey, a great nation with a proud history, and "Israel", a divine and earthly illegality, has always been an albatross. Some nations aspire for freedom and dignity, a chance to prosper, travel, trade, and build, not harassed nor blackmailed, and the Palestinian people are certainly no exception. The Palestinian people hail Turkey and its leaders. Palestine, yesterday an Ottoman province, today a free nation. Much in common with Turkey, we welcome you with open arms.
45. To: No. 19
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.25.11)
The only reason Turkey cooperated in preventing vessels from sailing in the flotilla is because they KNEW Israel would act to stop the vessels from breaching the blockade. That would have been another round of embarrassment for Turkey. It is also likely that very heavy pressure was levered upon Turkey by the other members of NATO. I'd say there is less than meets the eye with respect to Turkey. The Turks have decided to align themselves with Iran and Syria. Rather a stupid move, because there is no way that Turkey will be permitted to remain in NATO, but the powers that be in Ankara have never exactly struck me as being particularly intelligent or politically aware.
46. idiots
MadMax ,   Toronto, Canada   (07.25.11)
I've been trying to make some if any sense in what most of you morons are saying...Your comments are childish, ignorant, plain stupid! Your leaders are the enemy of your state of israel, don't t you get it? you are so arrogantg that you can't even apologize for murdering 9 civillians? then hell with you all! Turkiye does not need you, you are so insecure that all you discuss is your relatinship with Turkiye...Follow the Turkish media, they don't even care about you or your stubborn/stupid politicians. As for Kurds, Armenians, etc...boy you must be really losing it if collborating with these losers...Bottom line, apologize and normalize the relatiponship or just go to hell and keep losing all your allies.

Instead of following President Obama's advice for Turkey to cool the threats to Israel and support of Hamas Terrorist Organizations, Erdogan continues his anti-Israel Jihad. This may be popular in the Arab Street but he is losing his friends in the West!
