Good grief- where will it all end?! More often I'm seeing stories of misbehavior of people from all over the world, and from all walks of life who should know better. Famous preachers getting caught with prostitutes, an executive trying to rape a maid while ending a business trip, and now this.

I laughed when I read the story and saw the photos. and Second, WTF?!?!?! They're not teenagers engaged in a laugh. These are adults. At this point, they should be fired. They violated so many policies and the rights of this traveler.

the VERY LEAST these people should get 90 days off work without pay and a reduction in pay grade. You don't steal the property of a tourist for no good reason, you are given an Israeli PAYCHECK to do your job, shame on them.

In cases like this the person affected with unreasonable request should immediately demand the presence of the superior (manager), demand their badge indentification number and their names. I am certain that Israel is not a lawless country, there mighrt be always some bad apples among the descent border security officers, however as it might be the case in every democracy, they might be protected by the unreasonable public service unions. They simply should be fired.

The people who did this should be fired immediately. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior. In a normal country, they would be gone already.

I have had a quite a lot of visitors over the last several years from US, UK and Russia, and as far as I could see - the situation is only getting worse. Any gadgets - a laptot, camera etc, goes through an immense security check and often toruists are required to leave their stuff for additional secutiry check. This is often very embarassing, as no-one is prepared really to leave their valuable piece behind, and often people need these things in their daily work - why doest it have to be like that? Also nearly 70% of foreign tourists are reuqired to go with their luggage for a personal secuirty check and creates enormous delays and queues. I have heard - This is the last time I've traveled to Israel - countless times! I do understand and respect the work of our security agencies, but it needs to come to better standards and not scare away bona fide visitors, who bring their money to Israel and create work places here just by the fact that they prefered Israel to say Egypt or Turkey! There're enough people in the world who don't like Israel, why create more?

once entered into my personal laptop while I was being checked aside because they told me that my bag had explosive residues (the joke!) When I got back my computer in Paris, those idiots forgot to switch it off... This way I realized that they had entered into my personal stuffs and therefore broke into my privacy. When I went back to Israel, I went straight away to fill a complain at the police station who took the case very seriously and they told me that it wasn't the first time they were violating privacy of passenger and abusing their trust and that they were a lot of complain from tourists and Israelis.

If there is one thing that really irks me, it's that in Israel, the word courtesy is unknown. Most of the people that work at Ben Gurion airport should attend a course of courtesy in how to treat tourists and for that matter how to treat Arabs too!

There are far too many of these stories coming out of Ben Gurion and the negative publicity is quite toxic. In incidents like this, the wronged visitor should be invited back and treated royally---anything less would be inadequate...

Why just apologize? fire those stupid idiots, next time their successors won't smoke at work.

These jerks deserve to be sacked. But...Im sure that there are HUNDREDS of cases where innocent decent folks were brutalized, or worse, in Russia, by their Secutriy Folks. Im scared to death to go there to vist my grandparents birthplaces, as Im not 1000% certain that I'd make it out of there in one piece. At least in israel, the security folks can be jerks (think of our TSA here in the USA). But at least the passenger's safety wasnt compromised (we hope...)And when Im in Israel, I feel perfectly safe.
