it sounds like Erdogan has agreed to future aid ships to Gaza to dock in Ashdod or El-Arish per the UN guideline while the legal war-time blockade around Gaza is in place.

Leftists have already tried this with NATO troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. They brought lawsuits and such to change military policy to fight back ONLY after they've been attacked and ONLY if they know exactly who the attacker is (even if the attacker is surrounded by other terrorists) and ONLY if NO civilians are in the area. The military said it was impossible to do and was essentially a death sentence to NATO soldiers. The Left didn't care. Here is the same case. How many times do they demand that the IDF arrest hardened terrorists who swear never to be taken alive, at the risk of an entire platoon, even though killing them is perfectly legal in the rules of war? They brought many lawsuits, most times from Leftist NGOs INSIDE Israel! Israel has to be smart to push back and demand the right to engage anything that remotely can hurt an Israeli citizen, from anywhere.
