BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.12.11)
in your box would "Thnk" this way If we were to use your lack of standards, the USA should have apologized to the 19 Arabs Arabs that destroyed the WTC, Attalcked the Pentagon & caused flight 93 to crash, since they lost their lives in the process while committing their acts of murder All Erdogan had to do was to keep the damn boat at home, minding its own business in Turkey You might try doing the same, stay in the USA and mind your own damn business
62. (mis)translations?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (09.12.11)
the mavi marmara was an "act" of war, attempting to break a legal blockade to resupply an enemy in wartime, rather than a "cause" of war. erdogan's comments are only comprehensible to an islamist audience, for whom ANY resistance to moslem aggression is blasphemous and "cause" for war. for the rest of us, it is incomprehensible, irrational and childish. unfortunately, it is also deadly.
63. #44 Robert
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.12.11)
They were warned many times to turn back and not to run the blockade, before our soldiers boarded. When they did board, they were attacked as they landed. What do you think our boys should have done? Stand there and let themselves be beaten, wounded and killed by chain-wielding, knife-wielding and metal bar weilding thugs? Such weapons can kill every bit as much as guns. So puleez, don't alk about killing civilians. These were terrorists who deliberately set out with intent to confront and attack.
64. Not all of us support this big mouth lunatic..
A Turkish Friend   (09.12.11)
but we are not heard, as our voices are more civilized and moderate and not that news worthy, unfortunately. Please shut up Mr. Erdogan...You are a major concern for many Turks who have a brain. I can not speak for everyone though. There are some who seem quite happy with your conduct. Israeli friends, Turkey is a serious country with serious institutions and I still believe that we are not that easily brainwashed so I wouldn't take his never ending rhetoric so seriously at the end. Time will tell of course but I am pretty sure he will be brought down from his high horses soon enough. I also hope Israeli's will also see things more objectively, compassionately and with moderation as well, because your government is doing their best to add fuel to this already difficult situation in my opinion.. They too, are making similar remarks. Lets hope that this mutual madness will end for the benefit of the region and for the well being of both peoples who have a strong and mostly positive history. Best wishes
65. A new face of Amalek
Fred ,   Paris France   (09.12.11)
Erdogan has hard time repress his hatred towards Israël... his obsession reminds me of another Bné Israël hater...
66. #64 A Turkish Friend
Jordan Ariel ,   Philadelphia, USA   (09.12.11)
Thank you for your post. Erdogan has been driven off the edge of sanity. I look forward to a day where Israelis and like minded Turks will once again be able to break bread together in saner times.
67. #44 Robert Australia
Jordan Ariel ,   Philadelphia, USA   (09.12.11)
International waters ceased to mean anything as soon as the people on that boat named Gaza as their intended destination per San Remo. They may as well flashed a big blinking neon sign that said "Board Me." Here's some advice... dont try to attack a soldier or police officer with a club, knife, or whatever... othersie see how long you live.
68. Defense against Turkey Agression
Mary Snow ,   USA   (09.12.11)
This is my opinion I am sitting here in amusement reading Turkish threats against Israel gas claims in the Mediterranean and escorting ships on the next flotilla. The united states helped the Israeli air force during the cold war to be a stationary land aircraft carrier against the soviet navy which could have been destroyed in eight minutes. As far as the threats against Israeli gas claims in the Mediterranean sea Turkey should realize that the Bosporus is within striking distance of the Israeli military it is my opinion that the Israeli government as a foreign policy decision should make that known to the Turkish Government. Nato will not help Turkey if she attacks first.
69. Erdogen was just looking for an excuse.
noa ,   israel   (09.12.11)
He probably staged the whole Flotilla thing on purpose. He knew Israel could not back down. He also has been a radical posing as a moderate. Very slyly now he can manipulate Turkey into extreme Islam and head the insecure Arab countries on the same path. He can further blame Israel, something the Arabs were doing anyway. Transparent.
70. Murdegan sends9 bar fighters to provoke IL-then wants full scale WAR as a NATO member!
Alan ,   SA   (09.12.11)
This guy is definitely nuts!
71. #1: So when can we expect you to come and fight?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (09.12.11)
All piss and wind! If you want to tell us how to run our country, when and whom to fight, then get your butt over here and face our enemies with us, fight with us and, God forbid, mourn with us. If not, then shut up!
72. Grandeur and patience..like with the Armenians or Kurds?!
Paul ,   Louisville, KY USA   (09.12.11)
73. SURE THING -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (09.12.11)
Erdogan says flotilla raid was 'cause for war' -TURKEY SHOULD HAVE HAD IT HARD ON HER SCULL !: Turkish PM tells Al-Jazeera: 'It is a cause for war, but we decided to act in line with Turkey's grandeur and showed patience'; Erdogan will give speech at Cairo University where he will set out Turkey's regional vision Comment - Turkeys reginal vision will continue with Turkey going on the prey in War, but get beaten. This Turkish PM is sick. Arn.Sweden.
74. #64, Turkish friend
Hershl ,   USA   (09.12.11)
You are right. The majority of Turks want peace. I wonder how this man managed to hijack your country? It is never black or white. However, I fear for the future of a secular, Ataturk Turkey. Best wishes from a Jewish friend of Turkey but not of an Islamic, anti-Ataturk Turkey
75. F35
yair ,   tel aviv   (09.12.11)
i hope that this man's behavior serve as a red light for the Americans. turkey under erodgan has already gave the iranians and the chinese opportunities to inspect Israeli and american weapons. i hope that the US reconsiders giving them advanced weaponry systems like the F35. i also hope that they reconsider voting for their current president with someone who puts western interests first not muslim one.
76. I guess the San Remo Memo is worthless then
Henry from New York ,   USA   (09.12.11)
Hmmm... I could have sworn that the San Remo Memorandum, which is a part of international law, says that it is perfectly legal to intercept a blockade runner in international waters if it has announced its intention to run a legal blockade. I could have also sworn that that is exactly what happened. The fun thing about guys like Erdogan; if they dislike a law, then they don't think it is valid or applies to anything. Just because Erdogan says it is illegal does not make it so. Read the San Remo Memorandum and you'll see who is in the right here.
77. Erdogan talks a lot about self respect and
Vardina   (09.12.11)
honour but he has none. He is a narrow minded Moslem fanatic .
78. Erdogan will find that Israel is not Greece!
Ariel   (09.12.11)
79. @43 You are the disgrace with your narrow minded views..
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (09.12.11)
You are an Idiot. The ship was in international waters. If the ship crossed one meter/yard inside of the exclusion zone (Gaza) there wouldn't be much of an argument from me or a legitimate one from Turkey. Either way Israel realizes that it has a major problem and so does the US and this is why the US admin pleaded with Israel to issue an apology to not give the Islamist in Turkey an excuse. If push came to shove and hostilities did break out between Turkey/Israel who do we support? I say Israel but Turkey has been part of NATO since 1952 and they both depend on America for supplies etc. It is a disaster for the US/NATO & Israel because Turkey has decided to go the Islamic route.
80. Coincidence or predestination?
Philologist   (09.12.11)
The English meaning of the Hungarian word "Ördög" is "Devil". The Hungarian language contains a number of Turkish/Turkic words because of past acts of war & invasions by the Turks. Being called "Devil" is not laudatory in any language...quite quite the opposite in fact. Could the close resemblance of the surname of the current Turkish antiJew-in -chief, to the very word which epitomizes maleficence, have been predestined? With all due respect to Hungary and the Hungarian people...
81. Regarding #14
David ,   America   (09.12.11)
I humbly ask all Israeli's to please forgive the US for having such a stupid retarded idiot in its citizenship as this person calling himself "sh.t, rattle and roll. Not all Americans are idiots or enemies of Israel. Number 14 is obviously a pali supporter.
82. @ Ben Jabo
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (09.12.11)
I read your crazy post all the time and this time I am surprised that you didn't blame Obama for the action of the Turk blockade busters. If level headed Obama and Clinton personally asked BIBI to apologize it is because they are looking at the bigger picture and not some narrow minded view of the current ungrateful arrogant Israeli leaders who can't see the bigger threat forming, however I think they are starting to grasp the severity of the situation. I know you would like nothing more than to start a war and see hundreds or thousands of dead Israeli/Turkish soldiers die because of pride but I would prefer not. Israel has to be smarter than it's enemies and lately it has been foolish at best.
83. turkey lack of intelactuals? no better option was to vote?
ygalg ,   israel   (09.12.11)
or perhaps majority of turks with low IQ?
84. A brilliant idea !
Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (09.12.11)
I suggest to mr Ban Ki Mun UN secretary general to open a hospital facility in the headquarter of the world's organisation. Patients are exclusively head of states, who are suffering in mental diseases. The first 4 persons I propose : Mr Erdogan, mr Ahmadinezhad, mr Assad and last but not least mr Kadhafi. This also would mean the end of Libya's civil war.
85. Risks and courage
Howell LS ,   Dallas, Texas   (09.12.11)
Israel took a risk by leaving Gaza. The Palestinians had an opportunity to show the world their true intentions and that is exactly what they did. Their intent is to destroy Israel. If they choose the path of Peace, they would most likely have a state by now and instead of so many deaths and funerals, they along with Israel as a partner could build a future for their children. I thought Turkey would play a constructive role in all of this. Instead they are looking to further fan the fires of conflict and bloodshed. It takes great courage to look to the future and make peace. Erdogan is a coward. He could have been a hero for future generations and instead he will join the book of fanatics and despots who bring pain and suffering to the world.
86. @14
Sheik rattle & roll ,   USA   (09.12.11)
I am not a PAL supporter. Just because I have an open mind and see the bigger picture farther than you with my eyes closed doesn't make me a PAL supporter. I am currently living in Israel so you are the outsider. The bigger picture is that if there is another flair up with Gaza like a month ago Israel will be constrained again because of what is happening in Egypt and Turkey so look at the bigger picture idiot and not everything is so black and white. I would like nothing more to see the Islamic idiots in Gaza destroyed with one strike, however BIBI with his arrogance makes every strike in Gaza painful diplomatically.
87. How a linguist?
ali   (09.12.11)
The Hungarian language contains a number of Turkish/Turkic words because of past acts of war & invasions by the Turks.Hungarian and Turkish is the language of Central Asia. There is kinship between the Hungarians and the Turks.they came from Central Asia. The Hungarians made up of 9 backgrounds.4 to them are of Turkic origin.to Hungarians (macar) who address him only the Turks and and self their.it knows them.Every year there are festivals in Hungary turan.turan (Turkic ideal of unity). The turan idea belongs to the Hungarian. In ignorance there is no limit.Finnish is the language of Central Asia in the meantime.explores this issue in them.not writing the same nonsense for finnish.I tell you in advance.Turkish word maximum is in serbian.
88. erdogan is a nut-they need israel more
a ash ,   tel aviv   (09.12.11)
turkey ------what a joke at ther attempt to show they are a normal country
89. #64 Turkish friend
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (09.12.11)
It is very refreshing to hear some Turk making peaceful remarks in an Israeli site. Unfortunately as you mentioned your voices are not being heard inside Turkey. In the last elections even in Izmir the AKP was able to gain some votes. Unfortunately Ataturkcu Turkiye is looseing grounds while the Ummetci Turkiye is getting stronger. Your job is very difficult. Iyi sanslar dostum.
90. Why even educated muslim people buy these stupied claims as
Kumar ,   India   (09.12.11)
Even educated Muslims can believe any kind of cock and bull story given by the Mullahs or opinion leaders since the religion that is dinned in to their heads in their childhood is a most classic example of what a conspiracy theory is. Once the kids absorb this conspiracy theory as gospel truth then any other utterly unbelievable tale or spin is very easy to swallow. Once the kids capacity to think critically is scrambled with the most far fetched and self contradictory story the child become so gullible and naive for the rest of his/her life that he /she can accept lesser concoctions with remarkable ease.
