If I were Tom Friedman I would be much more concerned for the United States than I would for Israel.
92. AND FRIEDMAN'S STRATEGY IS ???????/
bob kirk ,   las vegas usa   (09.23.11)
Once again Friedman slams a Likud leader as he always attacked Sharon. Friedman was a great promoter of the PLO and Arafat. Does he have an explanation for the PAs rejection of Barak and Olmert's offers of land for peace? Friedman cannot face the reality that th ePalestinians don't want peace with Israel, period. They do want the land either some now and the rest later or all of it now. I heard Friedman speak at UCLA some years ago. He condemned hamas suicide bombers as "insane" and he condemned settlements as both ":insane and immoral". I understand that Friedman thinks that the settlements are the main problem but he totally downplays the hamas threat and the PA's refusal to accept Israel's legitimacy and the anti-Israel teachings of the PA and hamas. Then of course there is Iran and the changing Arab world, Islamist Turkey etc. Friedman once wrote, approximately, in the NY Times,, that when Sharon speaks, the Bush White House jumps to do his bidding.' That is, Jews control the U.S. government; not so far from the antisemites evil phrase ZOG - Zionist occupied government. Friedman needs to get real and moral - he does not have credibility.
